Reader Question – The book with the MMA fighter that lies about where he’s going, to protect her…

MMA Fighter alert!!! We love these, and this one sounds like it could have some angsty-oomph!

Hey Maryse,

A while ago I read a book about two characters that had known each other as children and then she moved away and they came back to each other as adults. He was like an MMA fighter and the book ended on a cliffhanger.

He said he would be right back but he was lying about where he was going to protect her and didn’t know that she found out.

Does this sound familiar at all?

This one sounds SO good, so I one-clicked it when it was on super-sale (actually it’s still bargain priced!) 😀 and it’s one of my “mains” on my TBR list. So when Marion asked about “it” I KNEW the book! Of course, I had to search my Kindle app first, but there it was!

Love in the 80s – A New Adult Mix Series Reading Order

I TOTALLY get a kick out of the premise of this series. Each short book is written by a different author, all featuring a new heroine (and potential couple) with that awesome “new adult” feel, but these love stories take place in the 80’s!!!

From the clever music (book) titles, to the fun “mixed tape” covers, to blurbs I can already relate to, this series sounds like it’s for me! A child of the 80’s or not, I think we can all enjoy these “standalones”, for those looking for a quick afternoon read (or maybe one just a quickie before bedtime). read more
