The Player Next Door: A Novel

FANTASTIC!!!! Though I knew it would be. It’s K.A. Tucker and she’s always a sure thing or me (and for quite a few of us in our book crew).

Harper: I just finished The Player Next door. …I absolutely loved it. It’s one of those books that you read with a smile on your face and where the characters communicate as they should at their age. It reminds me of the Simple Wild. It will be on my list of favorites books of 2020.

Monday Early Bird Book Releases – 06-29-2020

HAPPY MONDAY EVERYONE!! The start of a new week and I can’t even believe July is already almost here. Let’s hope July settles down and be’s nice and quiet. 😉 Hehe. I said be’s. 😏

19 new releases today and 10 of ’em are based on the HUGELY popular “Cocky Heroes” series by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward! They can each be read as stanadlones since each one is written by a different author. 😀

“Three Things”:

1.) I watched You Should Have Left this weekend and was pretty good!! An expensive rental, mind you – YIKES!! (but I told myself that had it been out at the theater I would have wanted to see it at as a date-night at the movie theater costs so… I reasoned it that way). 😉 I love Kevin Bacon, and this one has a definite message, although it could get confusing at times – who was seeing what… if anything – was it a dream? Was it real? But that was the purpose. Discombobulating, not too scary, but definitely creepy!! What’s it about? A couple and their little girl needing a break from their hectic lives rent a secluded house in Wales for a few weeks. And while he suffers from a past stress, jealous thoughts, and nightmares, it all seems to amplify, here. Oh boy!! Was it worth the price for me? No, not really, but I still enjoyed it overall. read more

Audiobook Review – The Decision by Kevin Hart

The Decision: Overcoming Today’s BS for Tomorrow’s Success <— There is no better title than that one!!! 😀 This is the first audiobook that I’ve ever preordered and it was everything I was hoping for. Absolutely PERFECT. I LOVE Kevin Hart’s motivation and inspiring outlook on life, and this will be one I will listen to, time and time again.

So some of you know, I’m a motivational audiobook junkie (I start my day off every morning listening to them). They’re a bit hard to review, ’cause I can’t easily quote my favorite parts or even highlight them to get my point across as to why they are must-reads (or listens). But some of them are so easy to relay, because the message hits home, and it sticks. This is one of those and it’s at the top of my favorites list in this genre. read more
