Book Review – The Resistance by S.L. Scott

The Resistance
This is one from Monday’s four “surprise” book releases that had me VERY excited. So excited, I couldn’t wait until Tuesday’s new release list to post ’em, considering I wanted to read each one equally (and thought you guys might want to, too). And this one gave me a *blurb jolt* ’cause it said he was a cocky, brooding bad boy, and well… truth be told, I was in the mood for exactly that.

But then!!! Some of our fellow readers started chiming in about this particular bad boy (and a certain “thing” about him), and OMG I was SOOOOO IN! Gah! I don’t even know if I should tell you “what” it is about him that sold me, ’cause in a way, it’s a surprise in itself. Yep. Had I gone in blind, this reveal or “mini surprise” would have totally snuck up on me and I woulda been thrilled! Maybe even had a little adrenaline rush. I love those! read more

    Latest Paranormal & Contemporary Romance Book Releases – April 29th 2014

    An EXCELLENT release day today (considering the reviews for that book right there on the left), but also, ’cause yesterday was the ultimate awesome-sounding “surprise books” release day! Four out of the five books I made an impromptu post for, are all at the top of my TBR list.

    In fact, I’m actually reading one ‘of ’em right now (a rock star one)! But it was SO hard to settle on that one first, ’cause I feel like I received a box of book-chocolates yesterday and EVERY one of ’em is different and EVERY one of ’em is my favorite. read more

    Author News Roundup – April 28th 2014

    Since I had an early day “Breaking News” book release update, I thought I’d go ahead and post an “Author News” update, too. 🙂 Lots of great questions answered, here, plus another sneak peak at tomorrow’s releases that are up for pre-order. I’ve already started tomorrow’s official “Latest Book Releases” post and OMG there are already a ton of great new looking ones on it that are totally “new-to-me”.

    P.S. What book have I settled on out of today’s surprise book releases? This one —> The Resistance by S.L. Scott. Especially after Flavia said: “Oh!… The Resistance is AMAZING! And you can find everything there: angst, love, sexyness, hot rock star, strong female character, a “OMFG!     Breaking News Book Release Update!!

    Yep! FIVE new book releases that just went live, and look so good, I couldn’t wait until tomorrow to post them. ;). Usually I wait until Tuesday to list all the latest releases but a few of these gave me blurb-jolts, and well, I had to interrupt our regularly scheduled program for a “Breaking News Book Release Update” 😉

    Considering the fact that I’ve been waiting on a book by one of my favs to be released, and lo and behold, a few other awesome looking ones just went live, too! A darkish sounding “hero” (or anti-hero?), a runaway from a religious commune that runs right into a biker, a cocky brooding bad boy, a girl running from her family (this one sounds deep)… a little of everything for everyone! read more
