Yep! FIVE new book releases that just went live, and look so good, I couldn’t wait until tomorrow to post them. ;). Usually I wait until Tuesday to list all the latest releases but a few of these gave me blurb-jolts, and well, I had to interrupt our regularly scheduled program for a “Breaking News Book Release Update” 😉
Considering the fact that I’ve been waiting on a book by one of my favs to be released, and lo and behold, a few other awesome looking ones just went live, too! A darkish sounding “hero” (or anti-hero?), a runaway from a religious commune that runs right into a biker, a cocky brooding bad boy, a girl running from her family (this one sounds deep)… a little of everything for everyone!
- Monster in His Eyes by J.M. Darhower <— I’ve been waiting for this one and it’s now live on Amazon!!! I LOVVVVE this author (here are my reviews of her Sempre (Forever) & Extinguish. And… this new book appears to have that dark edge to it! *eeeeep!* *blurb jolt* “He has secrets, secrets I can’t fathom, secrets that make it so I can’t walk away, no matter how much I beg him to let me go. I see it sometimes in his eyes, a darkness that’s both terrifying and thrilling. He’s a monster, wrapped up in a pretty package, and what I find when I unmask him changes everything. I want to hate him. Sometimes, I do. But it doesn’t stop me from loving him, too.“
Kirsten: Love JM’s writing so this is getting moved to the top of my TBR. … I heard that this is book 1 but that the main story wraps up in this one. Erin is that right?
Erin: Yes Kirsten, 2 books! I finished last night and what a book high I got from this! I love me some Ignazio. Maryse, I wanna see updates on this one. I think your gonna fall for him too
Jessica: Eeekkk….so excited about this one.
Candy: I had a chance to read an ARC and this book is FANTASTIC!! Must read!
Maryse: YAY US!!!
- It Ain’t Me, Babe by Tillie Cole <— BIKER ALERT (plus a sort of… “runaway” heroine) —> He’s a bad-ass biker in a motorcycle club and she’s super-sheltered from a strict religious commune… “Fleeing the absolute safety of all she has ever known, Salome is thrust into the world outside, a frightening world full of uncertainty and sin; into the protective arms of a person she believed she would never see again.” Katie says: “I’m 50% in, it’s really good!!!”
- The Proposition 4: The Ferro Family (The Proposition: The Ferro Family) by H.M. Ward <— very popular serial series that makes up a huge part of my “when will this book be released?” email inquiries. LOL!
- Beautiful Ink by Nicole Reed <— We have some VERY excited fellow readers over this one. She’s a tattoo artist with a bad past? Bad Family? “The word family means so much more. Vicious. Harmful. Dangerous. Corrupt. Deadly. You can’t run forever from the ones who love you.” Trina says: “This is the BEST yet to come from Nicole Reed and I am a fan! But this one….WOW!” and Sarah says: “24% in … It’s real good!!”
- The Resistance by S.L. Scott <— Brooding BAD BOY ALERT! 😉 “One night. That was all it took for Holliday’s world to be flipped on its axis. Jack Dalton was cocky. Smug. Volatile. Demanding. He ignited something deep inside her like no other, but there was something more to this brooding bad boy. There was a dark side to him she couldn’t help but be drawn to.” Oooooh, I like the sound of him. And sure… that cover helps, too. 😉 Michelle says: I read The Resistance last night and LOVED it…..I hope there will be more to the story….at least another member of the band like the Lick books….I’m a walking zombie today because I stayed up all night to finish it.

Oh what what whaaaaaat???! Michelle, he’s a rock star? I did not know and now suddenly that blurb jolt is even joltier. 😛
Beautiful ink was AMAZING!!! LOVED It!!
I loved Sempre and Sempre Redemption so I am anxious to get to Monster in his Eyes today. On top of all of that JM was one of the sweetest authors I met at Book Bash last year so that is just icing on the cake.
Beautiful Ink by Nicole Reed… fantastic. Loved every minute of it and fell hard for one of the characters.
I read beautiful ink in one sitting almost all last night! It was really good. I would have liked a bit more character development with one character, but overall a great book. I was hooked on the story and as painful as it was to read some of it I just had to know how it ended!
Just Finished It ain’t me Babe and It was it Was a Very Good MC book..Different Twist with the whole Cult thing! Loved It!
Starting It Ain’t Me, Babe RIGHT NOW! This author obviously knows good music based on the title and I just had to pick this one to read first!
Oh! Jack Dalton is the rock star!!!! The Resistance is AMAZING! And you can find everything there: angst, love, sexyness, hot rock star, strong female character, a “OMFG! Did that just happend?” twist and did I say hot rock star?
Broken visions by Jessica Sorensen released today also.
And wich one are you going to choose Maryse ??????
Eduarda after all of these comments it is hard for me to choose. They all sound so amazing. I’m actually thinking The Resistance all of the sudden… That one is tempting me big time. I’m in my way home and can’t wait to settle in! 🙂
Yeah!!! What a happy Monday to us!!!! 😀 I heard The Resistance has a “secret” to it – something that will surprise us like in Maybe Someday, perhaps? – but I can’t decide between that and Monster In His Eyes. I’ve been looking forward to both of ’em! Crap, then we have Alpha tomorrow, too. I call time out for a tantrum. 😛
I wasted the entire day today, sitting around reading Monster In His Eyes, and I don’t regret a single second of it! The book was AMAZING! It had me from the prologue in an instant with an uncomfortable feeling in my tummy where I just knew it was going to stretch my limits. And boy did it. In the best way possible. READ IT! I know you’ll love it!
Today is the ULTIMATE mini-release day!! I’ve started The Resistance… so far so good! Liking the writing style. 😀
Reading ‘It Ain’t Me, Babe’ and loving this MC book. I know just the list you will place this one in, Maryse…
Ohhhh what list could that be? Hermit/Recluse? Younger man/older woman <---- Oh I bet it's this one!! I know the biker list is too obvious. 😉
Or could it be the Forbidden list?? 😛
Hmm… I think this one will be on a crossover list. “Styx” is an Archer and Deuce combo… Love him already and only 10% in! 😉
Ahhhhhhhh OMG YES!!! Thank you Lise. Perfect and making me antsy to read two books at once, now. Make that three with “Mr. Monster Eyes” up there. 😛
Oops, I didn’t mean the “secret” (if there is one?) in The Resistance is the same as in Maybe Someday, just that there might be a secret that affects the storyline. Not a big deal but still wanted to clear that up. Off to start The Resistance now! 😀
Just finished It Ain’t Me, Babe! It was great! Styx is soo yummy! Loving Ky and Flame too… Flame is kind of like Huck from Scandal in my mind and I can’t help but love his craziness. Can’t wait for the next book!! Now, what to one-click next……
Reading it ain’t me babe good so far!!
Had a long train trip, and just finished reading “Monster in His Eyes”, heroine was a bit clueless, but gorgeous hero! 4 stars in my opinion
Maryse, have you read the Surrender Trilogy by Lydia Michaels? I read it last week, and hadn’t really heard of it previously. Hero is a hotel magnate billionaire, and she’s homeless (!) and took a job as a maid in his hotel. The hero melted my heart, but heroine was a tad annoying, but still worth a read!

Maryse I just finished reading Monster in his eyes and I am so glad I did. It had that right amount of tension that kept me on the edge of my feet waiting for the shoe to drop and I was not disappointed. This is going to the top of my favorite books this year so far.
Maryse….monster in his eyes is AMAZING!!!! Had me totally gripped and loved the storyline and depth to the characters! Onto the next 🙂 ….
I loved Monster in his Eyes! Wow – can’t wait until Book 2 is released. A lot of ruh-roh moments…tee hee! I also would like to recommend Education of Sebastian and the Education of Caroline. Taboo alert – she’s 30 and he’s 17… :-0
