An EXCELLENT release day today (considering the reviews for that book right there on the left), but also, ’cause yesterday was the ultimate awesome-sounding “surprise books” release day! Four out of the five books I made an impromptu post for, are all at the top of my TBR list.
In fact, I’m actually reading one ‘of ’em right now (a rock star one)! But it was SO hard to settle on that one first, ’cause I feel like I received a box of book-chocolates yesterday and EVERY one of ’em is different and EVERY one of ’em is my favorite.
Ebook versions of chocolate covered cherries, cripsy chocolate covered toffee, maple fudge, chocolate covered caramels, coconut-chocolate clusters… chocolate & nuts & caramel. Mmmmm…. and GAH!!! I just can’t pick so I find myself either gorging on all of ’em one after the next, or taste-testing each one with a bite. Hey it’s my box of chocolates so it’s okay. It’s not that gross, right? Tee heeeee!!!! 😉 But yeah… it’s how I’m feeling RIGHT NOW with the recent slew of awesome sounding book releases. I’m freakin’ out and totally being a book-glutton. ‘Cause with the feedback I’ve been receiving over the last 24 hrs, I’m about to start ’em all. Taking that taste-test “bite” ’cause I just can’t choose. LOL!!
So the ones that are giving me massive blurb & recommendation *jolts* —> Alpha (mysterious darkish creeeeepy sexy-cool sounding!), Monster in His Eyes (also (mysterious darkish creeeeepy sexy-cool sounding! Great recommendations coming my way), It Ain’t Me, Babe (sheltered religious commune runaway runs into a bad-ass biker! AWESOME recommendations for this), The Resistance (this is the rock star read I’m reading right now. Halfway through and so far so good, and I hear MASSIVE OMG twist awaiting me… I can’t wait!), Beautiful Ink (I’m thinking this is a biker book too, and OMG the recommendations I’m getting are freaking me out!) and Meant to Be Mine <— I just discovered this one a few minutes ago, and this one gave me a blurb jolt).
Actually that’s a “short list” of the ones below that have my attention, because there are plenty more that I made personal notes next to, and at least 6 more that made my TBR list (including a couple in the bargain section).
P.S. Let me know if I’m missing any or if you loved any (from this list or elsewhere).
BARGAINS (NOTE: bargain priced when I added them, but prices can change on Amazon, so make sure to check before you finalize your order).

- Man of My Dreams (#1) by Faith Andrews <— book #1.5 was just released below. 😀 “Mia Murphy may be married to the man of her dreams. But the man in her dreams is the one that got away—her high school crush.” Whoa! This one sounds angsty. She’s married and completely in love and her husband (Declan) is awesome… “until she discovers that Mr. Perfect is not Mr. Faithful.” Then the high school reunion, her old crush is back in the picture and… “Mia dives head first into dating Noah, falling further away from her husband and closer to her old flame. But Declan’s not giving up so easily. Mia is his one and only and he’s not about to let another man win her heart.” Hrmm… this sounds good.

Great reviews so far, too! “Sylvia and Tommy Garland and their five-year-old daughter Grace have moved from the bright lights of New York City to the peaceful wilderness of the Wyoming countryside. But with the recession on their heels, Tommy leaves for LA for a job interview, and Ruth, a friend of Sylvia’s comes to stay. In an unexpected turn of events, a family tragedy forces Sylvia to leave Ruth in charge of little Grace for just one day. A decision that will tear their lives apart. Stolen Grace is a roller coaster of emotions with twists and turns, a tale of lies and deception, of redemption and forgiveness. And ultimately, a story about love.” I wanna read it!!

She cashes them, and then one day… a limo comes to pick her up. “A driver stood in front of me, and he spoke six words: “It’s time to pay your debt.””
- Secret Alpha (A is for Alpha Male #2) by Laurel Curtis <— I want to read the synopsis so bad, but the author indicates that #1 (A is for Alpha Male) must be read first. Which sounds great considering it’s about a mother and daughter that go on a road trip hoping to find their own version of a real-life “Kristen Ashley” alpha male. 😉
- A Husband’s Regret (The Unwanted Series) by Natasha Anders <— “Bryce’s rage over his impending fatherhood touched off a chain reaction of emotional and physical traumas that wounded them both. I’ve been waiting for this for forever! And Maryse, they should really not be read as standalones. The characters from each book continue through the series. YOU WOULD LOVE THEM! Can’t believe you haven’t read Rule (the 1st book) yet….it is so up your alley…they basically can’t stand each other in the beginning and I KNOW you love that type of relationship!” <— YES ma’am I do!! 😀 Here is the Marked Men Series Reading Order

- Unbreakable Hearts (CEP) by Harper Bentley
Just started Monster In His Eyes, just a few pages in… Characters are talking about attending an 80’s party because it would be “fun” since they weren’t even born then… Lol, yikes! First time a book has made me feel old!!
Abbi Gline’s Take a Chance- A Rosemary Beach Novel (Grant & Harlow) is $1.99. Not sure what it was before but hers are usually in the $3.99-6.99 range.
I don’t even know where to start with all these new releases.
LOL Heather!!! Yah… I’m always shocked when I hear of teens (my friend’s kids) that were born the year I graduated high school. GAH! 😛
Thanks Lauren! I’ve got that one listed. 😀
Rori… they all look too delicious, don’t they?
Beautiful Ink was fabulous! It is an MC book but not what you are used to. It is a girl desperate to escape the life even if she has to die to do it. I freaking loved it.
I OVE this list!!! Maryse, you’re the best!
My pleasure my friends!! I get a ton of use out of it, myself. 😀
Thanks Shanda! That helps a ton… I’m definitely giving it a go!
Sweet Reckoning by Wendy Higgins also came out today. It’s more YA but I really enjoyed books 1 and 2. Looking forward to this conclusion. 🙂
I just have to say that the third paragraph above – the one where you are comparing ebooks to chocolates – is freaking awesome, LOL!! That really makes me feel like I’m not the only one who gets hyper around here. 😉
Um, a bit of unsolicited advice here – when they say not to get a Brazilian in the four days before your monthly b*tch…er, visitor arrives, listen to them. Seriously. There’s a reason they say that. :/
haha Amy!!!!! Sorry I’m laughing at your pain… but at least, you know… it’s done, now. 😉
Now YOU need a box of chocolates to ease your pain. And a box of ebooks.
Now… question… and should I even ask? So, like… er… what “happens” when that happens? Wait wait. I probably have already put too much “image” in our heads.
*That’s supposed to be a grimace above. I’m too cranky to figure out the emoticon for it right now 😛
I seriously don’t know what to start…..
Heather, my 17yr old thinks Gun & Roses & Motley Crüe are “old people music”.
Nash!! I’ve been waiting for this for forever! And Maryse, they should really not be read as standalones. The characters from each book continue through the series. YOU WOULD LOVE THEM! Can’t believe you haven’t read Rule (the 1st book) yet….it is so up your alley…they basically can’t stand each other in the beginning and I KNOW you love that type of relationship!
I DO love that Jean!!!! Okay lemme go edit my post and get Rule to the top of my TBR list. 😀
I’ve been waiting on Nash too! But, I also have a new release today to share and it’s on sale! 🙂 .99 for The Sin Circus Anthology. Eight fab stories of sinfully dark circus tales. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JZ4DMES *muah* Everyone!
Yay Maryse! You are a good girl!
Seriously Maryse, Rule, Jet, Rome….and now Nash! You need to get into this series! PLEASE??!?!?
Oh, *please* feel free to laugh away at me because I know better and yet still went through with it outside of my regular “timeframe” for waxing. Okay, I’m really going to try and censor my response, but let me put it this way – for me, everything is more…um…sensitive down there a few days before the dam breaks, so waxing goes from just being uncomfortable to being downright f*#@ing ouch!!!
The best part though? I made my best friend pee her pants with my outburst of creative swearing. She owns the salon and is the only person, aside from my husband and GYN, who is allowed to get up close and personal with my lady bits. So, no, it is not awkward. 😉
And I will take those boxes of chocolates and ebooks, thankyouverymuch!! Hey, throw in a chocolate martini while you’re at it, pretty please. 😀 I’m going to go grab my manatee and start Alpha. I’m putting The Resistance on hold for now… 😛
Amy, too funny! I hope you are feeling better “down there”! Haha!
I’m definitely getting there, Jean, because there is a bag of peas with my name on it, lol! I’m serious, it literally has my name on it so that my husband doesn’t try to cook them. *hee hee*
Hahaha! A friend had a vasectomy and used the good old bag of peas!! He thought his wife would still use them after that….um NO!
*snort*
You guys kill me!!! I heart y’all!!
Chocolate martini coming right up…
Oh Ohhhhhh LOL!!!! Look what I just found. Serves TWO purposes… ’cause it’s frozen. Get it? Bwahahahahahahahah!!!
https://passthesushi.com/chocolate-martini-pudding-pops/
Ewwww, Jean!!! LOL!! 😛
I am laughing so hard right now! You guys are great! Hey I shifted my TBR list and started Alpha…..whoa this is good so far and I usually have some guesses as to where it’s going but I’m clueless!
OMG, Maryse!! All I saw was “sushi” when I first glanced at that link! LOL!! Come on, given the topic at hand you know it’s not that much of a stretch. 😛 That recipe is crazy amazing – I’m saving that one! *drooling*
And oh, I get it! You totally just made my day – I’m seriously cackling right now!! (yep, I’m sounding like a hot mess right now)
Woo-hoo! We’re having a clueless Alpha gathering complete with frozen peas and chocolate martini pudding pops. Yeah! party in Amy’s corner!! 😀 What the sh!t are you ladies doing to me today…
Wow…I was feeling kinda over all the biker boys, but “It Ain’t Me Babe” was sooooooooo freaking good! Styx (*sighs”)
I had actually tried reading one of the author’s books last year (eternally something??) and to be honest, I didn’t finish it. Really pleasantly surprised with this book and it had better continue on to become a series! I’m really hoping for a certain tortured character to be the next book’s main hero.
Amy it’s the chocolate marines!
LoL!!! Hahahah whooooops I meant martinis (stupid autocorrect!) but hey the marines are invited, too! 😉
Sasha!! Soooooo good to know. I’m hearing only awesomeness when it comes to that book. My week is totally made with these releases. 😀
LOL!!! I was thinking of bumping up an MC book on my TBR list (thank you Sasha!) but one with a man in uniform sounds delicious. 😀 Do we have some marines at our party now?!? *giggle* Chocolate and marines and martinis…oh my…
You are so killing me with you lists will check back tomorrow to write down some of the titles. Went to bn today like I need anymore books got ten tiny breaths by ka tucker. Deeper by robin York, sempre by j m darkowner, and wait for you by j Lynn just because they looked good
I just finished Alpha by jasinda wilder and The resistance by j s Scott. Maryse just be prepared to jump in to a cold shower because the scenes in alpha were HOT!! I loved the angst in the resistance I was so drawn to the story I was yelling at my kindle on many occasions. ( Don’t do it, don’t do it, not the neighbor) so I’ve had quite an eventful day. This list rocks and can’t wait to read few more, I might have gone a little crazy one clicking on Amazon.
Going thru books like a madman this week! Just finished Monster In His Eyes.. Whoa! Crazy stuff but loved it, of course.. Cannot wait for the next book!!!!! Going to hold back on the one-clicking for a few days.. Maybe? 🙁
I totally just drank TWO chocolate martinis and they were a bit strong, if you ask me…
*sideeyes husband*
Tee hee!!! *giggle* *snort* *snuffle* Okay.. yah. They were string.
I mean strong. 😉
Wait. Where’d all the marines go? 😐
Ohhh Donna you got some good ones!!!!! I’ve reviewed at least 3 of ’em and loved ’em. 😀
Yashira… yep this list is reaping some HUGE reader reactions by way of OMG *this book rocked*. And so many seem to all be on that same level..
hah! Heather. No. That probably won’t happen. 😆 *snort*
And here I was beginning to think I was the only one getting sloshed tonight. *hiccup* Looks like I’m not the only one whose hubby was sent out for some chocolate liqueur, lol!
Ya know, side-eying the husband can lead to some sexy time! 😛 *giggle*
Aw crap, the marines? Ummmm…*bonk* nope, didn’t jump back in my ipad. *snicker* Maybe they ran out to get some strawberry liqueur for us…mmmm, chocolate-covered strawberry martinis…
Oh wow, autocorrect is saving my a** right now… 😉 Nighty-night and sexy dreams! 😛 Or reality. Whatever. *hee hee*
It Ain’s me Babe was fantastic!!! A real twist on the normal MC book. And there were plot twists that I totally didn’t see coming!! Bump it up your TBR list Maryse!! 🙂
Amy, how far did you get in Alpha? I am at like 38% and still clueless…..this book is hot, but it’s making me nuts at the same time! I was just wondering….
Just read Beautiful Ink and loved it!! I had a book hangover from Love, in English and Crazy Good and this book was the equivalent of the morning after Bloody Mary to pull me right out of it.
*snicker* Not very far, Jean. I got carried away with the chocolate martinis last night – I only have a little less than half of a bottle of Godiva liqueur left now. 😉 See my drunken post above and that should give you an idea of why I gave up trying to read last night. So embarrassing! *blushing* I’m nursing my craptastic mood today with a bottle of Motrin and my ipad, so I’ll let you know this evening how Alpha is going!
Did someone say Bloody Mary?!? *perking up*
I wonder why the one jumped in my basket oh yeah there was a review of your’s on the cover. LOL. who knows when I’ll get to read them. lately it seems I’m so behind with being away around Easter for 7 days without internet. talk about withdrawal. i came back to a pile up of arcs that had to be read/review. I feel all I’m doing is jumping from book to book without finishing anything. plus I’m behind on my written book journal and the one on goodreads for finished books. but today it’s raining so what should I do get offline and get reading (under a blanklet so I’m now and cozy)
I think I got at least 5 books currently trying to read if not more that I put to the side until I do some catching up.
Ha Amy! I was laughing at you guys last night…wish I could have joined the “party”! Oh and the Bloody Mary comment….lol…I just downloaded Beautiful Ink…definitely reading that one next!! Hearing so many great things about it! Hope you are feeling better after the Motrin!
Thanks, Jean. 🙂 I snagged Beautiful Ink as well! Looks good, right? Okay, diving back in to Alpha now…
Amy, I’ll be curious to get your thoughts on Alpha….
Amy I’m a little er… dippy today. 😉 I finished “The Resistance”… but only this morning. Last night was chocolately. LOL!
Today I’m starting “It Ain’t Me, babe”. Toooo many awesome comments about how it is exactly what we love. Reminiscent of some of our fav MC books. I’m totally in the mood for exactly that.
But first I gotta get outta this marine fog… er I mean, morning after martini fog. 😉
Donna! LOL! I get you… I’ve got so many I wanna read, it’s crazy. But that’s a good kind of crazy, if you ask me. 😀
Jean… keep me updated on Alpha. I’m excited to start it, too!
Just finished Against the Cage by Sidney Halston. LOVED IT! I like when the characters are old enough to have crazy sex. LOL. Sometimes I feel weird about these 20 year olds doing freaky things. hahaha. Anyway…LOVED IT. Different kind of fighter book, but really loved it.
I will tell you what my late time or it seems lately when I wake in the middle of if night book Misbehaving by Trfffany Reisz think it’s the first book I reading of her’s. If I sat and read it for a length of time I could problaby finish it I’m at the 1/2 way point.
I read “it ain’t me baby” its great. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts, Maryse
Okay, I just checked out It Ain’t Me Babe and I am in! Was going to start Beautiful Ink next, but after reading that blurb, I am excited! Looks so different! I must admit, I am at almost 50% into Alpha, and although there is some hot scenes, I’m not feeling it yet…..but still have no idea how it will all play out so I keep flipping pages….nothing has been revealed up to this point! Ugh!
Jean… I hear it’s a good cross of our FAV MC books (a la Motorcycle Man & Madeline Sheehan’s books) but with that touch of “Archer’s Voice”. That SOLD me!!!!
Yay! I just bought it and am starting it tonight!
And, don’t kill me but I haven’t read Motorcycle Man yet (I can hear you cursing me under your breath….). I know, I know, it’s been on my TBR for a LONG time, but I loved Madeline’s books!
I’m really trying to keep my focus on Alpha right now but I’m struggling. I don’t think it is the book itself, I think it is just me. Scratch that, I’m blaming the marines that Maryse invited last night. 😛 Hubby is bringing me some spicy V8 soon so we’ll see if that helps any. Lord, that sounds soooo good right now…
If I can’t stick it out with Alpha, I’m starting either It Ain’t Me, Babe or Beautiful Ink. I need some MC love after *finally* watching the season finale of SOA. Dude! DUDE! Dafuq!!! Oh my heart *sob*
No Amy, it’s not you, I am struggling somewhat also, but intrigued to find out what the hell is going on…..I can’t just not finish a book….need to get to the end so I can move on! Haha!
So…what you’re saying is It Ain’t Me, Babe? *cue the collective groan*
*snort* I know, that was so freaking corny…
LOL hahahahaha!! That was great!
😛 Heading back to my blanket cave now…
Oh, before I go though…Maryse, how was The Resistance? Is it a must-read-now or a should-read-soon?
LOL Amy… Perfectly timed response. I love your brand of humor, and I can’t wait to get back to my blanket cave. And eat breakfast for supper. Craving that big time. Greasy yummy.
The Resistance was good (I’d say 4 stars). Good writing, good story, and definitely a few angst-ridden situations. Yep good read. Didn’t emotionally overload or addict me, so I was able to put it down, though.
I am SO glad I didn’t skip this list today because I got down to Once Bitten,Twice Burned by Cynthia Eden showed it came out and I had pre-ordered it and it was not on my kindle–Major panic attack, called amazon and they said it got stuck in the que, something about because I had preordered Alpha by Jasinda Wilder the same day–makes no sense to me but now I have to decide which one Im going to stay up all night reading!!!!!! So glad I get your blog!!!!! ok Once Bitten Twice Burned just won lol off to read and Alpha tomorrow, not going to be sleeping much lol
Oh my…blanket caves and bacon *drool*
I loved Unbreakable Hearts (CEP) by Harper Bentley! I also broke my finger one clicking but I thank you so much for listing all these!
If you find room you should totally read It Ain’t Me, Babe by Tillie Cole….It’s unlike any other MC book I’ve ever read!!! I was blown away!!! Dark, gritty, violent, down and dirty & sweet & sexy at times!!! I know that sounds strange but the story of how they first met is sweet!!!!
Maryse and Amy, hope you are reading It Ain’t Me Babe!! Started last night and COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN!! This is the exact kind of read I was looking for and so excited for everyone to read it!
okay I just got copies of the marked men, Alpha, It ain’t me babe, take me for granted, the resistance, I finished Mishaving by Riesz last night so I have to spot I can squeeze somethng in for late night reading what should I go for?
The Marked Men series is awesome! But, I am reading It Ain’t Me Babe right now and also highly recommend that one Donna! Happy reading!
okay I’m going to do It ain’t me babe first. gotta get offline and start reading the arcs I have to do so I can start this book tonight.
I was planning on starting IAMB tonight, Jean. I’m finishing up Beautiful Ink right now – it’s definitely not our typical MC book!
Oh Amy I downloaded Beautiful Ink too! How are you liking I? It’s high on my TBR list, BUT I AM LOVING IT AIN’T ME BABE…..it is also different than our usual MC books!
*it?
It’s really good, Jean! You definitely should bump it up on your TBR list. I heard there is no cliffhanger so it’s “safe” – I’m soooo not in the mood for a cliffhanger. 😉
