YAY!!! It’s Saturday again, which means it’s Reader Favorites Day, and today, Andrea sends us her top 10!! Plus, she gives us some insight as to why she chose ’em. π
She says:
Wow choosing 10 favorite books is harder than I thought it would be.Β While writing down my list, a lot of old books that I’ve read and loved in the past kept popping up in my head.Β But here is my top 10 list π
1) Fever SeriesΒ – Karen Marie Moning.
Must I say more?Β Jericho Barrons!!! Somehow I just CANNOT get over him!Β This paranormal series has stayed with me after all these time and I STILL obsess over BarronsΒ and Mac.Β They are simply too cool.
2) The Education of Sebastian & The Education of Caroline (combined edition)Β – Jane Harvey Berrick.
This is a forbidden love series.Β I loved it because the writing is simply so beautiful.Β The love story was angsty but really really moving and wonderful.
3) On Dublin StreetΒ – Samantha Young
I think this book started my love for the new adult genre.Β A classic:)
4) Find You In The Dark SeriesΒ – A. Meredith Walters.
Ohhh the ANGST!Β But what a sweet story it was all the same.Β I had the biggest book hangover after reading this two book series.Β The author came out with a third book novella and I devoured that one as well.
5) Motorcycle Man (The Dream Man Series Book 4)Β – Kristen Ashley
Never knew I could find a big biker dude with facial hair and grumbly voice sexy…but yeah..Β This is a classic Kristen Ashley book.Β Not a hardcore biker book but ratherΒ romanccentric.Β I think it’s our cup of tea.
6) Just One NightΒ Series – Kyra Davis
Just great writing, and great storyline, and great characters, and justΒ great.Β The synopsis on Amazon isn’t the most exciting but this series is pretty exciting to me.
7) Under LockeΒ – Mariana Zapata
I am a huge fan of this author.Β I auto buy all her ebooks.Β Under Locke is a biker-ish book but again not really.Β The heroine is strong and so likable and thus a completely satisfying read.
8) Puddle JumpingΒ – Amber Johnson
So full of emotions and feels.Β This technically a novella but reads like a full length novel.Β Excellent excellent!!!!
9)Β GoodΒ – S.Walden
A student teacher love story.Β πΒ The second book in the series is titledΒ Better.
10) Sooooo many more books I want to list!!!! But if FORCED, I would choose Karen RobardsΒ as my last but not least choice for favorites.Β She is a classic suspense romance author and I’ve read ALL her books!Β Can I cheat and list all her books as all inclusive under No.10?Β π
Great list. I love the series and I seem to be about the only one who liked Burned. I see some I want to try, but especially on Dublin Street.
Puddle Jumping was so sweet. I believe that there is to be a sequel.
So much live on this list. Beautiful books Andrea. There are a few I haven’t read yet. This reminds me to move them up in my tbr.
Great list! I’ve read most of these and agree with your reasons for the love! Have Puddle a Jumping in my TBR list….I’ll have to read it soon!
Great list! I’ve only read Motorcycle Man from here.
Thank you guys for liking my list! I’ve read a lot of good books over the years, some have evaporated from my memory, but some have stayed. This list actually came easy once I nimbled my brain and focused π
Great list Andrea.
Ive read a few of these. On Dublin Street, Sebastian & Caroline, and Motorcycle Man and loved them so will be one-clicking the ones I haven’t heard of. Thank you.
Yayyyy. I’ve read a few of these and they are my favorites too so trusting that we have the same book tastes I immediately bought a Karen Robards -Sleepwalker. I’ve never read her before and have been in the mood to reader a romantic suspense but not able to find anything that I haven’t read. So thanks Andrea and Maryse!
Hey, six out of ten, not too shabby! Looking at the other four that I haven’t read, number two seems to be calling to me. Going to go check that one out on amazon. Did you still love Barrons after Burned? I wanted to slap the living daylights out of him after the first chapter!!! Not going there, not going there, reversing time and pretending we are still at Iced.
I’ve read 4 out of your 10 Andrea! Great list! Loved Puddle Jumping! Always wanted to read Under Locke and have had it downloaded for a while!
Teri: I hope you’ll enjoy Karen Robards. Her suspense books always have the right cadence of romance to make the plotline extra attractive.
I just finished The Witness by Nora Roberts and it was excellent too.
Read a couple of Laura Griffin suspense books too and they were ok.
MichelleS: I have to be honest and say I wasn’t crazy about Iced and Burnd. But I still love Jericho. I can forgive him for anything π
Trying to find another similar series but no luck so far.
Jericho is scary good!
LOved, loved, loved Puddle Jumping!!! And the cover is SO beautiful too!,β€οΈ
Ooooo I just read the blurb and reviews for Puddle Jumping as I didn’t know the book a you all seemed to love it. My daughter has the same diagnosis as the H Colton and I’m a bit scared this will be too close to the bone for me to read……. do I…..don’t I….. ???
Is it going to break my heart? Or is it a positive story?
Andrea – some series that came close to that same “feel” for me (as Fever) were: Elemental Mysteries (Gio Vecchio is a good Barrons type). Smart, well written, and the first one in the series is FREE, so you should check it out. Mercedes Thompson series was also a favorite. Patricia Briggs take on the Fey reminds me of Fever series. They are definitely NOT the good guys!
MichelleS- Thank for the rec! Will try for sure.
Lisa- I think Pudding Jumping is a position story. It did break my heart a little but in a beautiful way.
