Another top 2015 book list, and this time, our fellow reader Anne, has narrowed it down! π
Anne’s been with us since this year (at least in “active” form) and she’s been high active with us!! Here’s a little about Anne (and her book preferences):
- “I love mafia books!”
- “I love rock star romances!”
- She’s a HUGE Elle Kennedy fan! “The secondary characters are great too! Love Tucker and his beard and the guys reaction to it for example. I donβt know it makes everything more believable. I canβt get enough of this series and Elleβs writing!”
- She’s a HUGE Mia Sheridan fan! “She writes such unique, beautiful stories that she is without a doubt one of my favorite authors.”
- ”Β I like anything that has a romantic element to it but I donβt like straight up erotica or mystery (scary) booksΒ “
- “I donβt mind if its a series or a standaloneΒ Β I love angsty and passionate!”
- “I like second chance romances because they give me hope. True love never dies and thatβs just beautiful.”
- Her take on an “HEA”: “A romance book by definition should end in a HEA. Thatβs why I love reading this genre! …Thatβs what I expect from a happy ending. It doesnβt mean Iβll only read books that end happily but I prefer if they do.”
- “My poor Kindle is filled with books from one or 2 years ago that I havenβt read yet :/ And I keep adding more and more lol It never ends!”
Ready for her list?
“Hi Maryse! Finally I have time to sit down and send you my list. It was such a great year reading wise that it was hard to pick my favorite books but these ones have stayed with me. Without further ado here’s my top 10 books of 2015 π “
1. Painted FacesΒ by L.H. Cosway: This was my first book by this author but I was so blown away I went and read all of her other works. This book is so unique and refreshing I couldn’t put it down! The characters were all so likeable and the romance was so passionate and sweet that its a must read for me!
2. The Golden Dynasty (Fantasyland Series Book 2)Β by Kristen Ashley: Another book that blew me away! If you haven’t read Circe and Lahn’s story you need to drop everything and read it now!
3. Hearts of FireΒ by L.H.Cosway: Another L.H. Cosway book that I simply adore! I loved the circus setting and Jack.
4. Where One GoesΒ by B.N. Toler: Wow this book!! I cried so much but in a good way. It was pretty unique and the love story is so sweet and heartbreaking I couldn’t put it down.
5. Becoming CalderΒ and Finding EdenΒ by Mia Sheridan: I count these as one since the second one starts right off were the first one ends. The story of Calder and Eden was so beautiful and at the same time so hard to read that I stayed up until the wee hours of the night till I finished it. I love Mia Sheridan so all of her books are an instant buy for me, but this story touched me deeply.
6.Β PUCKED (The PUCKED Series Book 1) by Helena Hunting: This book was so much fun! I laughed and swooned so much! Those hockey players are HOT!
7. The Elements of Chemistry seriesΒ by Penny Reid: Again its a series but all the books are about the same couple. This was a sexy, fun read. I couldn’t wait for the next books in the series to come out and when they did I dropped everything to read them. That says a lot lol
8. Purgatory SeriesΒ by Amy Harmon: You guys these books rock! I have never read anything like it and I am still looking for books similar to these. I just loved everything about them!
9. Before We Were Strangers: A Love StoryΒ by Renee Carlino: This story touched my heart so deeply. It made me think about my own life and how a simple moment can change everything. Also that true love never truly dies.
10.Β RUSH (City Lights: New York City) by Emma Scott: Who didn’t love this book? It was simply perfect!
Tons of hugs!
Anne

Thank you Maryse! I hope you guys enjoy my list! It was difficult to narrow it down to 10 but I think there’s something for everyone π
Painted Faces!! Love that book. I’ve been wanting to read Hearts of Fire. SEP had a circus book and found it an interesting setting, though not to fond of them. Elements was so fun. I loved her “angry” guitar playing. Lol.
I was happy I narrowed it down to like 14, so good job on that. Not easy at all.
I love Painted Faces so much I plan on re-reading it too! You need to read Hearts of Fire! I read that SEP book you mention but HoF is 100 times better π
Anne…I’ve read all but Slow Dance in Purgotory (which I know I’ll love becasue I adored Infinity + One and Making Faces) and Where one Goes which I don’t think I’ve come across before. Checking it out now.
Great book taste…I adored all the others particularly Before We Were Strangers and Rush and Pucked which I had on my list too. π
Thanks for sharing…and thanks Maryse for posting all our lists…its been a book stalkers dream to poke around in everyone’s favorite book lists.
I’m LOVING these lists, you guys. Since so many of us have the same ones in our book favorites and definitely have similar book tastes, the ones that make these lists that we haven’t read must be really reaaaaalllly good!!! Nice lists of “tried-and-trues” ya know? π
I’ve only read 2-3 from your list so far. But I’ve only been reading CR for a couple of years and I still mix up my reading with a lot of sci fi, PNR and YA. I imagine I’ll catch up to y’all sooner or later.
Thank you Lisa! Where One Goes is a beautiful book! You need to read it soon π Oh and Slow Dance in Purgatory too! Amazing book!
Fabi I am sure you’ll catch up soon π I basically only read CR and a little HR and PNR so I need to catch up on those.
Anne, we seem to have very similar reading tastes and there are a couple on your list I haven’t read (Amy Harmon being one) so I’m excited to get on those! Thank you!! β€
I read and loved a few of these. Golden Dynasty *omg!*, Pucked (hillarious and sweet), and Element of Attraction (seriously one of the funniest, yet super smart). I haven’t read the rest, but they all look super fun. It’s the go to list or fun, sweet reading. π
Anne, I take that to mean I will enjoy it. And have seen praise for it. I think Cosway has an interesting voice. But that’s one of my favorite SEP books. The baby elephant, the grovel…*sigh* And well SEP is SEP. π
I haven’t read any of these but 4 are on my ipad. I will get to them. Agree Mia Sheridan and Elle Kennedy are great writers, their books are sure things for putting a smile on your face.
I’ve read 3 from your list. Where One Goes, does sound like a unique, but heartbreaking story. π
That is so true Maryse! Great list Anne! I’ve been wanting to read Painted Faces for a while now!
Love everything by Mia Sheridan, and loved Pucked and Rush so much too!
Just picked up Rush on sale and excited to read it soon! Haven’t heard of anyone not liking/loving it either.
Michelle…you’ll love it. But dont forget to grab the novella as well. Its worth it to have that extra insight into the story. Just a really beautiful book.
She’s got another one coming out soon.
Yay Michelle! I just made my niece buy Rush too. Agree with Lisa, the novella is a must read!
Ok going to get the novella too, thanks π
Yaay! So glad you guys enjoyed my list π Michelle you are going to love Rush!
Anne Saw Rush on your list and had to read it! I was hooked after the first few paragraphs and grabbed the novella as well. Loved, loved, loved it!
