Cocky Bastard by Vi Keeland <— “loved, loved, loved it! Have you met the goat yet? Hysterical!”
Wither (The Withered Series) (Volume 1) – Amy Miles <— “…absolutely loved it! I could not put it down! Totally reminded me of Until The End Of The World so if you liked that, I highly recommend this one! No cliffhanger, but set up for the next book! Ugh, my heart is on the floor!”
Throb and Beat – Vi Keeland <— “Totally different premise! …Definitely read Throb before Beat because that is where you are first introduced to Flynn…….I am loving him hard!!! Lol!!!”
Bird Box: A Novel – Josh Malerman <— “I’m loving Bird Box. It’s actually just what I needed right now! … Can’t put it down!”
Fisher’s Light / Worth the Trip (A Fisher’s Light Companion Novella) by Tara Sivec ” …loved it! …i did cry quite a bit with this one.” and “Worth the Trip, short novella to Fisher’s Light, and I cried like a baby! It was soooo good!!”
The Summer Remains – Seth King <— “I am in love with The Summer Remains!!!! Beautiful, beautiful love story …..I am left in a book fog and will probably need a few days to recover! …I am literally broken……just beautiful…..Need to catch my breath”
The Year We Fell Down – Sarina Bowen <— “…you should definitely read The Year We Fell Down!!!! I loved it… Slow build up, great characters, and I don’t think I’ve ever read a book about a girl in a wheelchair. What a great book! Highly recommend it!…”
Forever Red – Carina Adams <— “Just wanted to give a shout out to Niki for recommending Forever Red!!! I love it! It has everything I need…. friends to lovers, drama, separation, hot country rock star…. what’s not to love?!? loved, loved, loved Forever Red! … how about that Epilogue in Forever Red….whoa, blew my mind!”
Pretty Pink Ribbons (A Touch of Fate Book 2) – K.L. Grayson
Past Heaven – Laura Ward <— “Woman’s husband dies leaving her with 3 children. Hollywood actor approaches her about doing a screenplay/movie about her husband. She has to work closely with him, reminiscing about her life with her husband to get the story told and oh boy does it hurt!!!! Soooo good!!!! l loved it! It was a slow build and although I don’t usually go for the “actor” books, this was a good one! It kinda reminded me of Thoughtless at times… Not as much angst though….. the struggles with being in the public eye, paparazzi, Hollywood bitches. But what I really loved was the heroine’s kids and their part in the story!”
Vanguard– C.J. Markusfeld <— “Such a beautiful love story!”
A Second Chance at Paris (Bayou’s End Book 1) / Zero Day Exploit (Bayou’s End) – Cole McCade <— ” A Second Chance at Paris which was awesome! Sooo good!”
And a couple series I can’t help but mention:
- Hades Hangmen Series – Tillie Cole <— “…just finished the Hades Hangmen series and LOVED IT!!!! …Those of you reading Souls Unfractured…..sigh….Flame will forever hold a special place in my heart! I love the Hades Hangmen series so much but Flame, yeah, he’s something special!”
- On The Ropes Series – Aly Martinez <— ” they must be read in order. Love her writing!”
- KING Series – T.M. Frazier <— “I’ve been loving the King series by T.M. Frazier. Flew through the first two books and 35% into Lawless!! So great!!!!!!!”

I just read Him by Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy. M/M Hockey romance that was so good so if you haven’t read that one yet I would highly recommend it. Feel in love with both male characters!

Bird Box so unique and sad. The Year we fell Down was so good. I really enjoy that series though bit behind right now.

For all of the common books that we have read and loved, we don’t have any of the same books on our favorite 2015 lists, LOL! But I *have* read Wither (on your rec ;)), Bird Box and Fisher’s Light…and I honestly can’t remember if I finished Vanguard or not. *scratches head* Oh! And I’ve read King.
I do have a few from your list sitting unread in my library, but HOW did I not have Past Heaven yet?!? It sounds heartbreaking and perfect!
Funny thing. I have read only one book in this whole list, and that’s the buddy read Bird Box. I have all three of your honorable mentions in my TBR, and all the Vi Keeland’s have been on my radar for a long time.
BTW, all this crying is scaring me!
Lovely list with a few of my 5 stars and all time memorable books mentioned. Beat and Throb, Fishers Light, Cocky Bastard, King, Fighting Silence (haven’t read the the next one yet…on my tbr).
Actually I think all the others I am yet to read are already on my tbr, downloaded ready to go.

Jean this is a beautiful list of books. I’ve obviously read some of them but the two that I should have already read and are still sitting in my tbr are Throb and Beat. I need to get to those NEXT.
Thanks for posting this list Maryse! I wasn’t sure if I was too late! As I said most of my 5 stars were on everyone’s else’s lists, but these are books that stayed with me and gave me all kinds of feels!

Oh and I know it might seem like I like to cry, but I usually steer clear of those. Still too chicken to read Bright Side or Forbidden!
Well, that reassures me about a few of those. Honestly, Bright Side was a fluke for me to read. GUTTED me and yet, it was probably my favorite of 2014. *sighs*
Cocky Bastard, King, Throb and Beat are the only ones I’ve read…
I do have Fisher’s Light and I think Vanguard on my kindle already though… hmmm….

Brightside! I went in blind with that one and couldn’t finish it. Partly because I couldn’t see the pages through the tears and partly because it was so damn painful. I just thought….why am I making myself feel this miserable.
So dnf for me.
I could so see that! By the time it gutted me, I was committed. I had to stop every half page just to wipe the tears off my tablet, but oh. Such a good story. I’d never recommend it unless someone loves ugly crying, but still a great story.

Tessa…but wasn’t Gus healing after Bright Side? Although if I had read Gus right after BS then I don’t know if I could have handled it…and you *know* that’s saying a lot right there!
Amy I downloaded Gus but couldn’t find the courage to read it. I think Im ok with some of the gut wrenching stuff…but not when I know there is absolutely no chance possible of a Happy happy feeling anywhere in the book. It was so bloody bleak.
I think you’re so brave (or a complete masochist 😉 ) to read these kind of books regularly. I can do one once in a while…Badger or God Shaped Hole but then ‘Im done for a good long while…healing my heart with HEAs and quirky rom coms. 😉
Jean, I’ve got work to do with your list! I’ve only read the last three series but a lot of the others are high on my tbr, especially Wither and Past Heaven. Really great list and a couple I forgot and highlighted again!
