It’s Northerstar’s turn (and I just realized her real name is Kim, ’cause she signed off that way). She took a different approach to her reading in 2019 and I’m all for it! A short and sweet favorites list!!! 😀 YAY KIM!! I’m so glad you sent us this (and I can’t wait to see what else you love in the upcoming year). *hug*
She says:
Hello everyone, Its been a while since I’ve popped by to say hello, *waves hand*. I hope to join in more frequently in 2020 (a New Year resolution).
I’ve been reading a lot of older books this past year from my TBR list but just never got to…
A few of my favs include:
The Paper Swan by Leylah Attar (fabulous),
The Wall of Winnipeg and Me by Mariana Zapata (why did I wait so long),
Fast Lane by Kristen Ashley (different style for her and I missed the usual character interaction, if that makes sense),
Verity by Colleen Hoover (so creepy gave me the chills).
AUDIOBOOKS:
“This past year I started to listen to more audio books and have the Audible Escape package which is a great value in my opinion with so many books to choose from. I love to listen to rom-coms and the best hands down this year was:
The Bride Test by Helen Hoang as the narrators really brought this story to life, and a close runner up was
Heidi’s Guide to Four Letter Words by Tara Sivic and Andi Arndt.
Both laugh out loud funny. Glad to be back.
Kim
Thanks for sharing, Kim. I loved Wall of Winnipeg too. Haven’t read Fast Lane yet, but I used to be a huge KA fan so might try it. I don’t mind different style if the writing and characters are good.
Hi Jan
I strongly encourage you to read it! It’s Based on the rise to fame of a rock band but told in an interview style after the fact. Different, I enjoyed it.
Kim
Thanks Kim.
I love audiobooks and wasn’t Heidi’s Guide to Four Letter Words hilarious??
For anyone who has library with Hoopla, you can get audio of Bride Test, Paper Swan and Wall of Winnepeg.
