Merry Christmas-Eve my friends!!! Only one more sleep!!! *squeeee*!! But, in the meantime, I’ve started another “countdown”. We’re counting down to our new year, with daily “top 2015” lists from our fellow readers and Theresa is up next!
Here’s a little about her book preferences (and some of her favorites):
“I read a variety. I like romantic suspense. The HEA with a story. Harper Sloan, K. C. Lynn, Julie Ann Walker, Cristin Harber all are good. These are my go to reads between the gut wrenching ones.
Meredith Wild – Hardwire, is good erotic with a good story line.
For me some of my fav true romance authors are Liora Blake – True series, Claudia Connor Series. Emma Scott, have not read all but loved all I have read and plan on reading all.
I like the biker books as well. I like paranormal as well, but less than I use to. So I mix those in. I also like series. I know the waiting!!!!!!!
Have read and enjoyed all of Alessandra Torre books except the latest scary ones- just can’t the get nerve for the erotic murderer .
Theresa says:
I have read many great books this year but I narrowed down books that came out this year or series that are still going with books that came out this year in the series. In no order.
- Becoming Rain – K A Tucker
- The Bourbon Kings – J R Ward
- When I Was Yours – Samatha Towle
- The Fall Up – Aly Martinez
- Sweet Ruin (Immortals After Dark Book 16) – Kresley Cole <— “Hands down IAD is one of the best paranormal series…”
- RUSH (City Lights: New York City) – Emma Scott <— “…i have found all of Emma Scott’s work great… Everyone should read Rush and the novella from Noah point of view. Must read on both. The novella is not a re-telling. The two together makes more sense!!!!”
- Hollywood Dirt – Alessandra Torre
Series- because I like them all
- Hard Wire – Meredith Wild
- Hard Ink – Laura Kaye
- Mckinney Brothers – Claudia Connor
Theresa, nice list.:-)
I really need to bump Hollywood Dirt and Rush up. So much love for those two. I believe I have Burying Water sitting in my tbr too.
*sigh*
Becoming Rain in my tbr. Not Burying Water.
*shakes head*
*snort* 😛
No snorts, she wrote Burying Water too. That was really good and had a follow up him POV that I did not read yet. Really interesting plot line.
The anthology that Maryse just posted contains a followup to Hollywood Dirt – preorder for January
Then maybe that is the one, lol. I’ll have to check. Still should probably eat something besides candy canes and cookies to help me think.
Maryse should be sleeping soon so Santa will come.;-)
lol Bev. Candy and sweets and more candy.
I hope Maryse set out her cookies and milk. Is it the same tradition in Canada? It’s different in South America.
Theresa, I love your list. I have so many on my tbr. Now I only need to find enough time to read them.
When I Was Yours is a book I’ve been looking forward to for a while. This is a second chance romance, and it’s angsty, heartbreaking and emotional. I love all of Samantha Towle’s books, and although this one wasn’t my favorite, it was still enjoyable for me.
Thank you, Theresa! Just FYI I posted a free little Christmas story featuring Noah and Charlotte on my blog at emmascott.net but it’s spoilery to those who haven’t read Rush. It’s a little gift to my readers who are so flippin’ amazing I can’t handle it.
Merry Christmas to you Maryse, and the readers here! You have helped to make my 2015 so awesome! Xoxo!

Emma
I loved When I Was Yours. I didn’t love Hollywood Dirt as much as everyone, but it was still super sweet. I really have to get around to Sweet Ruin. This is the longest it’s taken me to read a new IAD. The rest I have to investigate. 🙂
I feel soooooo guilty. I am a HUGE fan of Kresley Cole’s Immortals After Dark series and have read them all. The early ones, many many times. But I didn’t buy this one (Sweet Ruin) because the last few have been kind of “meh” compared to the first few. So you liked it enough to make the “best of 2015” list? Maybe I need to reconsider? Your list is definitely making me reconsider.
Great list, Theresa! 😀
I’ve actually only read one from your list (Rush) but I actually have all of the others – aside from the IAD one and the series you listed – sitting in my library because they have received so much love around here.
Bev…read Rush. Now. I promise you don’t have to be scared of my rec with this one. 😉
