Trisha is from our Facebook crew, and she made a joke one day when she asked if I’d posted HER 2016 list yet. It appeared she was still waiting. I PANICKED!!! I thought? What? OMG!!!! I don’t see it in my lineup?!!! I searched my emails. I searched my tweets. I searched my Facebook messages. I even searched the blog comments. Where was this list??
So I sucked it up and asked her where she had sent me her list, and to please resend it. There must have been a boo boo. LOL!!! And guess what? This one’s a jokester. She was kidding. She hadn’t sent it to me yet, but HERE it is now!!!! :D!!!!!
YAY!! Now we all have a new book friend!!! 😀
So here’s what her 2016 favorites were:
“It’s so hard to pick favorites but I’ll try. I’ve gone through my kindle and iPad and picked them and they’re in no order.”
1. A Thousand Boy Kisses by Tillie Cole <— Omg this book!!!!! It was absolutely beautiful. It’s one of those books that stays with you, I can’t praise it enough.
2. Everything for Her by Alexa Riley <— If you haven’t read her books I totally recommend them. They’re dirty and have insta love and are great to read in between heavier novels. Always hot with a happy ever after, this is her first full length novel.
3. It Ends with Us: A Novel by Colleen Hoover <— I have to give it out to CoHo, she always delivers those emotional books that tug on your heart strings with a side of spicy. Definitely one of my instant download authors.
4. Midnight Lily by Mia Sheridan <—Definitely wasn’t an ending I was suspecting, completely blindsided me, which is hard to do with romance novels. It was great.
5. Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward <— Ok I’m going to group these two authors bc they have so many incredible books together and separate. Must reads this year are “RoomHate,” “Bossman,” “Stuck-Up Suit,” and “Playboy Pilot.” I promise you you’ll love them. Pick any one, you won’t be disappointed.
6. Hooker or Jax (A Bastard Novel) by J.L. Perry <— Her books are so steamy.
7. Rm w/a Vu by A.D Ryan
8. Undecided by Julianna Keyes
9. Moonshot by Alessandra Torre <— I just love her books about independent females finding love. Her female protagonists are always entertaining and enjoyable to read.
10. Filthy English by Ilsa Madden Mills <— Dirty English is the first one but they don’t have to be read together but I recommend it.
Ok those were my top ten from 2016, I can’t wait for what 2017 brings me. ❤❤
I’ve read one on your list. Undecided, which was awesome.
I do think I might have one or two in my mountain of a tbr pile, though.
Thanks for sharing. It is always fun to see what everyone chooses.
I’ve only read one, but what a one it was. Loved Filthy English. It had me giggling like crazy. And *hides* I’ve yet to read a Vi Keeland/ Penelope Ward mix book. I’ve no idea why. Talk about tempting stories.
It’s great to know the Alexa Riley book is good. I thought that one looked interesting and she’s great for a light read.
I just got a signed copy of Midnight Lily! Now I’m really excited. Starting it soon!
I’ve read 5 out of 14…not too shabby! Great list!! I have several others on my TBR pile already. Thanks for sending Maryse your list…and I have to admit, I had a little giggle that you teased her about sending it already! Naughty… sounds like you’d fit in here just fine! LOL!
Thanks Maryse as always for rocking the blog!!
I read 3 & 8! Now to check out your other picks.
Love your list…so many I read and loved last year. Boy Kisses, Jax and Rm W/a Vu are the only ones I haven’t read. Tbr’d!
I’ve read 8 of these!! I was going to briag that I won for most read but Lisa chimed in and beat me. *sticks out tongue at Lisa*
*sticks tongue out at Leslie*
I’m claiming Trisha as MY book twin!!
I’ve read several from your list!! So funny, teasing poor Maryse who was probably going CRAZY looking for the lost list. squeeeeee
Awww thanks guys!! It’s always so nice to see people enjoying my book lists. I’m always so overwhelmed with my choices and what to say. I love this world of book lovers!
I loved A Thousand Boy Kisses. I couldn’t get past the first chapter of Boss Man. I find it so interesting to see what other people like to read, how we can be so similar and so different.
Trisha great list. I’ve read a few of yours and now can add a few more to my tbr. 🙂 Thanks.
Yes Celeste A thousand boy kisses had me crying throughout it. I’m not usually a fan of books that make me cry (bc I read for happiness) but it was just so beautiful that even though it pulled at my heartstrings I enjoyed the whole thing. Which is hard bc if a book makes me cry it usually means I didn’t like the ending and I throw the book across the room but this book ended how it should have, just amazing.
