Happy Thanksgiving Day Reader Request #2!!
Andrea is looking for book recommendations featuring THIS kind of heroine:
I love a badass heroine like most people, but I often get a craving for books about a less obviously badass sort of girl.
Can you give me some suggestions for romances that involve a sweet/shy/meek heroine. Bonus if the H is so mean or dismissive the h is crushed.
I’m okay with dark and paranormal romance in addition to the usual stuff.
I’m thinking an h attitude like in Luna and the Lie by Mariana Zapata or Kiss an Angel by Susan Elizabeth Phillips. I appreciate any suggestions you have.
Thanks so much!
Andrea
Okay so I DO have a few lists for you to check out, Andrea (where there is a greater chance of heroines that are exactly what you’re looking for).
- Sheltered Heroines
- Unrequited Love
- Our favorite “Plain Jane” or “Ugly Duckling” books <— possibly a few meeker or shy heroines in here.
Anyone have a favorite “meek heroine” book to recommend?
Julie O: Breathe (Colorado Mountain Series Book 4) by Kristin Ashley pretty much fits your requirements and is also very good.

The only ones that I think fit your bonus is Keegan’s Lady by Catherine Anderson (historical), Booted by Pam Godwin (dark), Wanderlust by Skye Warren (dubious), Texas Glory by Lorraine Heath (historical), The Husband Trap (historical)
