When I first read the blurb, I got curious. I thought it very interesting to see the world through a clone’s eyes… but when I started reading the story, wow! From the start, there is that idea that if we reproduce someone’s every cell, we should get a perfect copy. But what about the rest? The memories, the experiences, the character…

In this book, we go through Ven’s thoughts and dreams while she leaves the only place she has known since her first breath, the underground city where everything she does is controlled for her to be able to imitate perfectly the human she was cloned from… But is cloning making exactly the same person? It is very refreshing to follow her as she experiences real life for the first time and, while her human counterpart is bored with her rich life, Ven is just amazed by so much discoveries… she would love to shout her joy but she has to keep her head high and pretend to be a bitch. They never told her how long she would have to be the replacement… nor how dangerous it could become.

I enjoyed that book very very much! The idea is a good one to start with, and then it becomes action packed as Ven discovers all the intricacies of human relationships and how power hungry the father of her human, who’s also the creator of her and all her imitation friends, really is. While the creator wants to control more and more of the world, Ven finds herself driven to be much more than someone else’s imitation… she wants to be herself! But she’s not the only one who wants to be free. How much would YOU go through to be free?

Great characters, good guys who are not so good and bad guys who are much more than just what they seem. I loved the way Ven cannot decide who to trust or not, as we can’t either… change of minds and bold games are played here.
