WildΒ <— GOING LIVE IN JUST A FEW DAYS!!!
So… my sister came to my house and saw this cool review copy sitting on my desk. And she settled in, and devoured!! And guess what? She has a review!
P.S. I blushed through it and can’t stop laughing at Β my sister’s *ahem* descriptions. π
P.P.S. These are ALL shifters. *waggles eyebrows*Β
Review by Johanne Pearl Couturier
First story: Catch a Tiger by the Tail by Eve Langlais (3.5 stars)
Very short story, good rhythm, lots of secrets kept and a mood that feels like a Clark Gable movie.
I enjoyed the woman character. She knows what she wants and what she doesnβt want and she is the very strong typeβ¦ youβll see why at the end of the story butβ¦ talking about the end of the story, why is the?%#@&?* is the epilogue so short? Is it just a teaser for the next book? Where is the rest???? Grrrβ¦ got me a bit mad because I was not expecting this.
Now I also know there is a prequel to this anthology, by the same authors, calledΒ Growl: Werewolf/Shifter Romance. But I want to know the rest of the story!!! boo hoo hoo. Guess Iβll have to wait for the next βone wordβ title to come up! ο
Second story: Wild Passions by Kate Douglas (4 stars)
I LOVED the second story! OK, it is a bit βclichΓ©β againβ¦ man wants female, meets female, feels female is HIS and they have terrific sex. Well it might sound a bit βfairytalishβ… but isnβt that why we love to read those books?
Who wouldnβt want a gorgeous man carrying her packs to a lovely forest cabin and wearing a hard-on as big and beautiful as his smile? And since these girls are at a bachelorette party for the weekβ¦ taking advantage of a wild wolvesβ reserve, to relax and have fun, wellβ¦ it gives us some pretty hot moments.
Iβd go to that little lodge in the mountains ANYTIME to get that kind of magic working. Relationships would be soooo simple!
Third story: Her Perfect Mates by A.C. Arthur (3.5 stars)
OK I was debating here between 3.5 stars and 4β¦ The rhythm of this story is different from the others, a bit slower, but also a bit deeper into the psychology of the characters.
There is a lot of mysteriousness also about it and you are told, a little information at a time, as you read⦠since the pace was a little slower. I would put it down a few times, but always felt that I had to go back to it to know the rest, to learn more, and then BAM! The story takes a different twist, not at all what I was expecting, and it sure makes me want to read the sequel! All the ingredients are there for that.
