Fall From Grace
<—–Ok the cover might not have wow’d me in terms of what the “feel” of the story is inside, but the actual story? Yep! I’m totally titillated!! I’m reading this… and while it may not be *perfect* for me (at first I found her a bit overly hostile to him and anything that pertained to him) but at halfway in, and I am loving it!!!
“Do you need help with that? I’d like to see how you feel after a shower too…”
I slammed the door on him, but I couldn’t help smiling. Crap.
Tee hee!! Yep, I was grinning too. And then, I realized I kept “losing” my breath (or catching it? I dunno) during a few key “Shane” scenes, and that’s when I knew, I was really enjoying the read.
*sigh* I almost DIDN’T get the recommendation!! My mail spam filter hid the first one from me! Ack! Until I received this second message from Minha:
“Maryse, I mentioned this book to you another day. I am not sure you got my message. I finished it and I am in love with It. I had to let you know.”
Thank you Minha!!!! This is one of the closest “Beautiful Disaster” feeling reads I’ve had in awhile, and while “Shane” may not necessarily be taking Travis’s place, I can say without a doubt, this is worth the read if you’re wanting another like it:
- Travis & Abby feel (girl with a life purpose, resisting bad boy player who’s always got a new girl hanging off of him…)
- Tattooed rock star hottie bad boy with a bar gig (Kellan, anyone?). This guy is believable!!! A bit of a dirty mouth, dirty mind, arrogant and cocky with a definite jealous streak.
- The girl who has a reason to resist, and a guy who can’t figure out what to do with it. A nice mix of Kellan and Travis for sure!
Plus it has a slight paranormal twist, but not enough to take away from the contemporary romance “reality” feel of the two main characters.
P.S. Another really good Beautiful Disaster feeling book was one I read last week. CRASH by Nicole Williams. More on the YA spectrum but oh YES!! That one was great and had an interesting twist. I held back on reviewing it, simply because we were going into my “Dark reads” week, and it didn’t quite fit the theme. But when I hit Fall From Grace, I knew I neeeded to interrupt our regulary scheduled programming with these exciting finds! I couldn’t contain it anymore.
And while I still have a “dark read” to review (and finish off the specific “genre” week), I just had to cut in and mention these, too!
Okay, off I go to finish it! Both “bad boy” reviews to follow shortly! I love bad boys!! Tee hee!!!!
Just downloaded both! Fall From Grace is only $1.50 too! 🙂
I will read them after I finish Seducing Cinderella. I am just over 50% and it is very, very good and steamy!!! One hot, tattooed, oh, and a tad possessive 😉 MMA star = yummy! One to add to your TBR list. 🙂
Oh I already bought it!! You SO know that one is next. As much as I’ve enjoyed my “dark reading” week, I have been chomping at the bit for these bad boys reads…. YAY!!! This week should be fun too!
Maryse, I am so happy you got me messages!! I am proud I found Fall From Grace all by myself and got to pay you back a little bit for all the recomendatios and finds you give to us… The author has a brand new blog and she said she almost done with book #2. YAY!!!! 🙂

Just book-binged on beautiful disaster, thoughtless, effortless, BD (again!) and finished crash tonight! Was looking for my next book and here is this post 🙂 Amazing!
Cannot wait to read this!!! I just finished Crash on Friday night and I really liked it. I rated Crash 4.5 stars, curious to see what your thoughts and opinions are. Thanks again for all your recommendations 🙂
I loved Fall from Grace!! Can’t wait for book two. I finish Crash last week. It was really good. Loved the twist at the end. I love your site. I have told all my friends about it. They all have started reading Beautiful Disaster. They love it so far!!
