It’s Friday, I’m happy, and the Friday Finds today seem quite excellent indeed!!! Quite a few on here that gave me a HUGE blurb jolt, like Medicine Man by Saffron A. Kent (just went LIVE) and that one there to the left (I Like You, I Love Her: A Novel by J. R. Rogue) with a blurb that had me gasping and my eyes bugging out!! What does it mean? Does it mean what I think it means? Oh I wanna read it so bad!!
Plus, we’re squeeing over an angsty rock star trilogy CLASSIC that Jenn just started reading and we’re on pins and needles waiting for her reaction. Tee hee!!!! She might just end up missing work again. 😉
TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT WE FOUND FOR THE WEEKEND !!
- Medicine Man by Saffron A. Kent <— PSYCH-THRILLER ALERT!!! SAFFRON A. KENT’S LATEST IS LIVE!!! She’s in a mental hospital and HE’s her doctor!! “…Willow isn’t supposed to look deep into those eyes. She isn’t supposed to try to read his tightly-leashed emotions. Neither is she supposed to touch herself at night, imagining his powerful voice and that cold but beautiful face. No, Willow Taylor shouldn’t be attracted to Simon Blackwood at all. Because she’s a patient and he’s her doctor. Her psychiatrist. The medicine man...”
- The Storm King: A Novel by Brendan Duffy <— PSYCH-THRILLER ALERT!!! Tasha (one of my book twins!!) just found us this deal!! “…Haunting every moment is the Lake’s sinister history and the memory of wild, beautiful Lucy Bennett, with whom Nate is forever linked by shattering loss and youthful passion. As a massive hurricane bears down on the Northeast, the air becomes electric, the clouds grow dark, and escalating acts of violence echo events from Nate’s own past. Without a doubt, a reckoning is coming—one that will lay bare the lies that lifelong friends have told themselves and unleash a vengeance that may consume them all…”
Tasha: The Storm King by Brendan Duffy is on sale … I must have put this on my tbr and forgot about it. It’s a thriller, not romance, but it looks good!
- Bound by Darkness (The Alliance, Book 3) by Brenda K. Davies <— LIVE!! “**The Alliance Series is a spin-off of the Vampire Awakenings series. You do not have to read the Vampire Awakenings Series in order to follow the Alliance Series, but it is recommended.***
- Lies We Tell Ourselves by Amy Matayo <— RECENT RELEASE AND WE have feedback!! Jenn LOVED it!
Jenn: Good Morning- I finished ‘Lies We Tell Ourselves” Amy Matayo. It had such an empowering message and that is what I am taking away from this. I was left with a resolve to be more careful what I say and do—not only to others, but to myself…especially myself….because we are worth it and so was reading this emotionally touching story. Okay now off to find another book so I can do FLT
- The Scars That Made Us by Inda Herwood <— ARRANGED RELATIONSHIP ALERT! “…Tell me, how do you trust a man who only wants to marry you for the check your father is so obviously writing him? The answer is you don’t. But when Jagger Wells, my ridiculously gorgeous intended, explains the real reason behind his going along with this scheme, I begin to see the man beyond the pretty face; a guy just trying to do right by his family. And I decide that maybe there’s a way we can both get what we want without having to sign a marriage certificate in the process…”
- Test (A Gentry Generations Story) by Cora Brent <— CORA BRENT’S LATEST IS LIVE!!! BAD BOY ALERT!! “…I’ve heard the rumors. I know his story. But I’ve got my own scars. I don’t need his. Despite his muscled, blue-eyed good looks, he’s definitely just heartbreak wrapped in a seductive package. However, I didn’t plan on falling into his arms on the worst night of my life…”
- Dirty Rich Betrayal (Dirty Rich Book 4) by Lisa Renee Jones <— LISA RENEE JONES ALERT!!!
- Kick by Ali Dean <— RECENT RELEASE & WE HAVE FEEDBACK!!! Angela loved it!!
Angela: Just finished reading kick by Ali dean- you had this book on new releases a few days ago!!! I could NOT put this book down! Ms. Dean draws you in with every word she writes. I literally re-read everything she publishes until her next new book comes out. Kick is an amazing self-discovery romance that takes you outside the normal college drama spectrum into more realistic problems and emotions that any young adult could face during their college years.
It deals with a beautiful young woman that has real problems and struggles with identity crisis, this is so amazing because it’s so relatable and it just grips your heart and doesn’t let go. Jack, is such a good compliment to Lydia, he knows what he wants and won’t settle for less. So many new age romances have entirely too much drama, but this is so real and almost effortless you never want the story to end.
- Gravel Road by Stephie Walls <— LIVE!!! SECOND CHANCE ROMANCE ALERT!! The latest by Stephie Walls!! He’s loved her forever… “…Texas, wrote our story. And then it tore out the pages. Six years later, Miranda had managed to slip away again. But this time, I refused to let her run.”

- Book Review – Bad Things by R.K. Lilley 4.5 stars (rock star romance)
- Book Review – Rock Bottom by R.K. Lilley 4.5 stars (rock star romance)
- Book Review – Lovely Trigger by R.K. Lilley 5 stars (rock star romance)
Leslie M: Jenn, be prepared for every single romance reader out there to squee because you are reading Tristan & Danika’s story. I swear that is everyone’s fave. It’s a good one!!
Melinda: Omg Jen, you lucky lucky thing. You are in for the ride of your life. I loved those books. All of them. I think Maryse 5 starred all of them. I 5 starred all of them
Maryse: Pretty much, Melinda… the trilogy as whole? Absolutely 5 stars. I 4.5 starred the first two because I was waiting for that big finale and boy did it deliver!!! 😛
Jenn: Leslie; Melinda-YAY me! Now with your comments I am over the freaking moon excited!!!!!
Amy: JENN!!!!! *SQUEEEEEEEEEE!!!* You will experience every possible emotion in the train wreck that is their story. The only book I can recall which had me SOBBING happy tears at the end of the trilogy. I’m sooooo jealous but SO thrilled for you!
- Ghosts I Have Known: A Paranormal Romance (Greyworld Book 1) by Nhys Glover <— SHE SEES GHOSTS… “…I don’t know why I see them, but I do. Don’t believe what they tell you in movies and on TV; ghosts don’t haunt people. Because they don’t know we’re here. That tidbit, along with other things I’ve learned along the way about these inhabitants of Greyworld, helps me maintain whatever is left of my sanity. Then I meet Jake. He has to be the most gorgeous guy I’ve ever laid eyes on, living or dead. And he doesn’t play by those sanity-saving rules. He can see me. Which begs the question, How do I know I’mnot the one who’s dead?”
- I Like You, I Love Her: A Novel by J. R. Rogue <— OH MY!!!!!!!!! THIS SOUNDS ALL SORTS OF SCANDALOUS & TITILLATING!!!!! That last line *gasp* !!!! “…It’s been more than 10 years since the homecoming dance. Since the night he kissed me, breaking both of our hearts for the first time. After the scandal, after graduation, I left our small town and made a name for myself on Broadway, then in Hollywood. I didn’t mean for the play I wrote about our high school affair to blow up. I didn’t mean for it to reach all the way back to my roots, wreaking havoc, wrecking families. Bryan Winthrop and I were not friends, not lovers. But I’m back. And for one summer — if she lets us — maybe we can be.”
- Honeymoon for One: May/December Gay Romance by Keira Andrews <— M/M ROMANCE ALERT!!! “…Clay befriends Ethan, hoping he can cheer up the sad-eyed young man, and a crush on an unattainable straight guy is exactly the safe distraction Ethan needs. Yet as the days pass and their connection grows, long-repressed desires surface in Clay, and they are shocked to discover romance sparking. Clay is the sexy, rugged man of Ethan’s dreams, and as the clock counts down on their time together, neither wants this honeymoon to end…”
- My Best Friend’s Boyfriend by Amy Brent <— LIVE & IT SOUNDS LIKE PURE FORBIDDEN TROUBLE!!! “...He’s my best friend’s boyfriend. I broke every girl-code out there when I let him kiss me. And then what happened after…”
- Her Prince Charming by Sam Crescent <— LIVE!! HIS SISTER’S BEST FRIEND… “…Brendan knows he’s got to keep an eye on his sister and her best friend, Violet, when they move overseas for college. He has always felt bad about breaking Violet’s heart, but he was tired of her following him around. He wasn’t interested in little girls. Only, Violet’s no longer a girl. She’s a woman. Now he wants her and knows he can’t have her...”

Amy: Okay, SECOND one more thing… ATHEISTS WHO KNEEL AND PRAY IS ON SALE
Jean: Finished Atheists and absolutely loved it! Sorry I waited so long to read it. Tarryn Fisher has a way of creating totally real characters that I become completely invested in.
Amy: Jean! I’m so glad you’re reading Atheists!! By the end I was drained emotionally but my heart was so full. And yes, your heart is gonna get hurt. Just sayin’.
Melinda: I loved Atheists kneel and Pray. DONT THINK,JUST READ IT. It’s great. I loved it. I
- Ashton Scott by Nina Levine <—LIVE!! BOSSY BILLIONAIRE ALERT!! “…his bossiness turns me on in ways I can’t even understand. But I’m not going down without a fight. Or at least, I wasn’t… My fight is what Ashton loves the most. Of course it is. Send wine.”
- The Stone Brothers: A Complete Romance Series (3-Book Box Set) by Samantha Christy <— SERIES BUNDLE ALERT!! “Which brother will you choose? The over-protective private investigator, the recovering bad-boy movie star, the alluring new ER doctor?”
- Breaking the Rules (The Breaking Series Book 1) <— LIVE!! BEST FRIEND’S SISTER ALERT!!! ESPECIALLY WHEN SHE COMES AROUND THE GYM… 😉 “…For Travis, there’s only ever been one rule: stay away from his best friend’s sister. And it wasn’t a problem until Amara moved back west all grown-up and sexier than sin. When she comes strutting around his gym every day, it’s impossible to keep his eyes–and hands–off her...”
- Confess (Sin City Salvation Book 1) by A. Zavarelli <— LIVE!!! ARRANGED MARRIAGE ALERT!!! “…A word of advice? Don’t show me your vulnerabilities because I will find a way to exploit them. And as of five minutes ago, my new husband. He wants to keep my secrets and collect my tears, but he should know that a wild animal can’t be domesticated. I don’t know how to love men. I only know how to leave them…”
- Sweet Insanity (Sweet Series Book 1) by Desiree Adele <— LIVE!!! HE SAT BEHIND HER IN CLASS... “…Zack Graves had the entire world in his hands. A promising hockey career and the confidence and gorgeous looks that had every girl throwing themselves at his feet. Except me. I was only too happy to wipe the sexy smirk off his face while tossing him on his smug ass. And he kept coming back for more. Good morning! Happy, happy Friday!
We turned on our heat last night–yay!!!
I’m reading Medicine Man as soon as I finish my challenge books. Unless someone wants to do a BR….
*happy Friday dance*
Yay! I am so looking forward to weekend. Sleeping in and going out to eat (I get a break from cooking on weekends) and of course READING! My current book: Cement Heart by Beth Ehemann appears to be pretty emotional one. It might be a good one for all you drama-lovers. I will let you know when I finish.
Nay, I am in love with cover of Medicine Man but not sure if story is for me. Can’t wait to get some feedback on it.
Maryse, tell me more about cooked radishes and other “secrets” to eat healthier. I love raw radish, but never would have thought to cook them. I am always looking for different ways to eat veggies. One new-to-me I tried recently and loved was fennel.
Amy, I have never had a parsnip but giggle every time because I think of the movie Ted and “paaaaahsnip” said in obnoxious Mass accent.
Tasha, zoodles and spiralized veggies are delish! They don’t take place of pasta but are yummy. Zoodles can be tricky to cook because of all the moisture. I like spiralized carrot & squash too. I have added zoodles to my pasta so that we are eating slightly less carbs.
Leslie… roast up some radishes with olive oil, salt and pepper (and maybe even some rosemary) and you will be AMAZED. DELICIOUS!!
Cut them in half even, if you want that golden toastiness like roasted potatoes.
https://therealfoodrds.com/garlic-roasted-radishes/
Happy Friday!! It’s my day off. I’m off to the gym and then the grocery store. Going to get ingredients for mississippi pot roast!!!! Yum!!! May have to try some radishes along with small red potatoes I usually use. Not sure I’m brave enough to substitute totally.
I’m going to start mine in the morning Cheryl!!! :D!!!
OK, so I’m so behind on writing reviews. Gah. It’s homecoming weekend… I miss everyone. *hugs*
*hugs Grey*
Have a fun weekend!!!
I love roasted radishes! I used to sub sunchokes for potatoes all the time too until our store quit carrying them!
Ooooh! I am going to try roasted radishes. My rosemary plant is only herb I kept alive from the summer. 🙁
I have also always wanted to try celery root.
I recently tried jicama and it was weird…no taste.
One thing I love but have never made myself is spaghetti squash. Hubs loves squash, so I need to try that.
Happy Friday!!! I’m going to have to try the roasted radishes!!
So, I started Elite by Rachel Van Dyken last night and am totally hooked!
Enjoy homecoming weekend Grey!
Jenn, how are you liking Bad Things?? It’s next on my list … perhaps after I read the entire Eagle Elite series though…:-)
We’re having spaghetti squash tonight! I make it all the time.
Jicama is great in salads and as a wrap if you get the thin sheets! And you can cut it into sticks and use it with dips.
I had my leftover pot roast last night. 🙂 I shredded it, added sauteed peppers, slathered in gravy, heated it up and served over mashed potatoes.
Maryse, maybe you need a food blog too!! 😉
Leslie M OMG I would love to blog about food too… Books/Food/Makeup/ Other stuff.
R., Jicama sheets?? That sounds cool. Not sure I have ever seen those.
I bet I would like jicama in a salad and/or with a yummy dip.
What’s your fave way to prep spaghetti squash? Is it as main dish or side dish?
Leslie, I cut the squash in half (lengthwise gives you more surface area to caramelize, but my small hands deal with it better to cut crosswise), scoop out the seeds BEFORE baking, brush the surface with olive oil, salt & pepper, bake face down at 400 degrees about 50 minutes, then turn over and broil the top a little more to carmelize. When it cools a little, fork the squash into a strainer over a bowl so it can drain. Then I use it like spaghetti. Tonight I’m making homemade meatballs and sauce.
You can buy the jicama sheets precut. They’re great for little mini shrimp tacos.
Omg!!! Thank you so much for including Sweet Insanity! I could cry!!
R., That sounds delish, thanks. I have to try that. I saw recipe where they mix squash w/tomato sauce, place back in squash cavity, cover with cheese and bake it again to melt cheese. I think hubs would love that with meatballs.
That sounds good! Let me know if you try it.
And I love seeing Sweet Insanity on here!! I can’t wait to read it! ❤❤❤
I think I will make Italian wedding soup soon and it makes too many meatballs so I will try the spaghetti squash with leftovers. I think the mini meatballs will be perfect for the delicate squash.
BTW, I am liking my book Cement Heart by Beth Ehemann. Almost done book 1 (it’s a duet) and it’s got a broken hero, emotional and slow burn romance.
R., Is Sweet Insanity a standalone?
Yes. She’s going to do a spin off later for another character but it will be a totally separate book.
Ok.
That show starts Wednesday.
Anyone want to take a chance with me?
Its every W & Th.
Just 8 weeks.
Looks twisty and I know the leads are good.
C’mon it could be fun.
Shake it up a little.
Hey Grey!!! Just so you know, I couldn’t help myself. I already finished Elite, ate all the Godiva and may or may not have done some damage to the blankie fort at the end of the book when it became obvious I have to read the next one. Also, if I hadn’t been at work when I finished it (over my lunch hour of course), I would have undoubtedly needed alcohol. But don’t worry about me….you just handle all your homecoming events this weekend. 🙂
Holy moly…holy FREAKING moly!!! I Like You, I Love Her sounds like Marmy material!! Although I did have to re-read the blurb several times because that last line kept confusing me…she? Who is SHE? Is BRYAN a she? Was that the scandal? Until finally it clicked and ohhhhhhh, okay…wait, I have to have it! MINE!!
Yes, Leslie…give radishes a try because they are YUMMY. 😀
Oh, and parsnips as well. They look like big white carrots. They are GREAT in that Mississippi pot roast recipe.
Popping in quick to say I’ve FINALLY got The Lingering by SJI Holliday. I’ve been messaging her back n forth Bc it hasn’t been working here. So, for anyone curious, you have to type in the title, the word ebook, and author name and it’ll pop right up. https://www.amazon.com/Lingering-SJI-Holliday-ebook/dp/B07HR3W9X3/
I’m finishing up Dead Girl’s by Nancy Lee now. It’s definitely different. And I started I Suck at Girls by Justin Halpern.
And I’ve got paint for my daughter’s room! When I can apply it is a different story. Lol
I quickly skimmed comments, but I have to say radishes are disgusting (my opinion :P) Though, I remember my Dad yanking them outta the garden when we were little and eating em right there. This was my introduction to radishes.
AND! I’d love if you blogged about other goodies, Maryse. We all love talking about that good stuff anyways. 😉
Ooh now I’m hungry again! I love parsnips. We have them roasted with a bit of olive oil, and I’ve also made them into a yummy soup. Haven’t tried roasting radishes though. That sounds yum too.
Nice set of books up there Maryse. I’m a bit scared some of them are too angsty for me though 0_0
Jan… it IS a pretty angsty-sounding list, isn’t it?
*whoooooooops* 😉
OMG! I read Bad Things by R.K. Lilley when it first came out and loved it but then kind of forgot about it over time and I did NOT even know 2 other books had come out in the series until I saw it here! Yessssss! I know what I’m reading next.
Lucky LUCKY April!!!!!!
Michele-I’m loving it soooooo much, unfortunately today has been total chaos so I have not been able to read. I’m only 38% in. Glad you loved Elite can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the series as a whole.
Amy-I like you, I love her had me the same way I read it a few times before I had to say
*gives huge grin* MichelleG. Please, please, please tell Grey how awesome that book is. 🙂 Thank you for reading it! I swear, it’s one of the few books that I keep going back to and re-reading over and over. *sighs* Now I want to read it again.
OMG TESSSSSSSAAAAA!!!!
*tackle hugs*
Tessa!
OH and please, tell her how much you just wanted to punch Nixon at first. Like, break his nose punch. I kinda went into recluse mode but am back. 🙂 What a way to come back though. ELITE WITH TRISTAN AND DANIKA! *faints* Did you all look and say, hey, these are her favorites. Let’s read those. Cause if so… yay. 😛
Bev!
Elite. Squee. I’m tucking in right.now! We won our homecoming game!!!
Tessa, glad you’re back for all the excitement! I lovvved Elite and yes I absolutely hated Nixon! There are some great and fun twists in that book!!! I can totally see you re-reading it! So good! I’m on book 2 which is also really good. I’m thinking I may have to sneak in Tristan and Danika somewhere too…who needs sleep?!
Yeah Grey! Congrats on the HoCo win!!! Now read your little tail off! I bought you some more Godivas and fixed the blankie fort for you…may have forgotten the wine but I bet you may have a stash
TWO THINGS:
1.) The Mississippi PORK roast is in the slow cooker (will be ready at 6pm)
2.) I’m halfway through “No Tomorrow” (yes I took a break after the under the bridge scene) but I’m going to say, I’m actually REALLY into it right now. I’m scared… 😉
THIRD THING:
YAY NAY!!!!! I love being able to *squee* that. 😉 I love you Nay and I’m thrilled and so thankful that you’re healthy and happy.
*falls but huggles back* Maryse! 🙂 I’m back. Just went recluse for a while.
Grey! YES! Nixon is just… OMG. Such an a**!
MichelleG… *squeeeeee* He’s such a bully. Like, pure snobby elitest type of bully which makes it my favorite type. I still havent read the whole series because I’m stuck on one book and I know what happens because I read the book after, a side book, first. *sighs*
Happy National COFFEE day my friends! *tosses out coffee pods*. Dunkin Donuts has BOGO on their coffee today… got my cup since I am having to work today…
Can I throw three things out there???
1. Eating this chocolate chip muffin will not make me skinny
2. Second cup of coffee here I come
3. Saturdays are suppose to be my happy day not my work day….oh well
Hope everyone has an awesome day of FALL, reading and football!
It’s also World Heart Day! So today honors two of my favorite things: coffee and my wonderful new heart!
From their website:
World Heart Day is aimed at drawing people’s attention to heart illness and the range of associated health issues. The day is commemorated to promote different preventative steps and changes in lifestyle to avoid any cardiovascular diseases, like heart attack, stroke, heart failure, and any other condition related to the same. On average, more than 17 million people die from heart-related illnesses every year. This is a more than that of people who die from HIV, malaria, and cancer.
Three things:
1) I looking forward to reading outside today in the wonderful fall weather and finishing up my challenge books.
2) Kentucky football is ranked (#17!!!) for the first time in 11 years!! GO BIG BLUE!!!
3) I’m SO thankful to be alive!
Three things:
1. I’m thankful Nay is alive and that we can love on her!!
2. I have to work, too.
3. With a cold sore ravaging my lip. 😕
(But a Starbucks London Fog makes it all better. :D)
Awww, thanks, Amy!
What’s a London Fog? I’ve only had Starbucks twice, both in the past 6 months, but I’ve just gotten common drinks since I’m not well-versed in what they have.
Happy HEART day Nay!!! I am sooo thankful you have a new heart as well!!!
Wishing we had some true fall weather here but sadly it still feels like summer!
Maryse–love you too! *hugs* And with No Tomorrow, you *should* be a little scared (in the most wonderful way!) I know there have been mixed reviews, but that book just GOT to me–A LOT. It reminded me too much of some things in my life, I think (not the homelessness or the mental stuff, but the ‘feel’ of their relationship). I want everyone to be as destroyed by it (again, in the most wonderful way!) as I was. I especially thought the last third of the book was amazing!
I’m reading The Boy and His Ribbon and I feel that I’m getting ready to hit some major angst with it too. Yay!!
Ok, I like this song a lot. It was just rec’d to me.
https://youtu.be/qhc_UpS6U3Y
It’s in English. Its Tablo and Taeyang. It’s a break up song and kind of an angry one.
Do you remember the video I posted of the little girl at the concert who was with her dad and had a cute crush on GD? The dad is Tablo. Taeyang is a singer that is in the group Big Bang with GD.
Bit confused by this version because the one I’d heard of before was in Korean and a huge hit for Taeyang.
And just saw it says cover project.
And this might be better.
Seriously.
I must be on an Epik High (Tablo’s group) break up song kick.
Damn I think this is so good.
For those who love a woman singer….Amy..R…Maryse. Tessa too. Please, want to know what you think of both of them. No more songs for today. Last one. Also in English.
https://youtu.be/UC5pmyVJ4t4
WoWOWOWOW!!!!! bev!!! I REALLY loved the “Here Come the Regrets” song. Holy moly it got me in the feels!! I’m in such a good mood this morning, and yet I feel like crying while listening to that one. <3
Nay, so glad you’re healthy! The Boy and His Ribbon…yep it’s got all kinds of angst!!
Nay – yay! Loved A Boy & Hos Ribbon, and the follow up in that duet. Unforgettable.
I’m still in Jewel E. Ann world, and loving every minute of it.
OMG I am done with Bad Things….Not sure how my heart or ovaries survived! Near the end wrecked me as I was so focused on the H/H that I did not see that coming and it broke my heart! I’m kinda scared to start “Rock Bottom”
Oh Jenn, you should be scared…
*hands Manny to Jenn*
Just stick with it though! We’ll be waiting and ready with wine and Nutella brownies. 😉
*hugs Nay* Hooray for Nay and for World Heart Day. And for national coffee day. Is that a thing? I’m in. *grabs a coffee pod as it flies past and makes a yummy cuppa*
1. The Magpies lost the Grand Final (Australian Rules football). :/ But it was a really close and exciting game and they *nearly* got there. Oh well, there’s always next year 😉
2. My house is quiet this morning. Just had visitors for a few days which was lovely but it’s also nice when everyone’s gone and you get your quiet space back.
3. Cooking peanut chicken and rice for dinner tonight. Yum.
She’s at homecoming. Sigh. I’m kind of wrecked a little. I don’t recall giving her permission to grow up.
Grey, I feel your pain. Went on another college visit with my daughter. So bittersweet. How did they get old enough to go out on their own?!
Nay, so happy for your healthy heart!!! Happy Heart Day!
Jenn, be scared, be VERY scared. It’s a rocky, angsty ride, but soooo good!
I dont want you to cry but glad you liked it. 🙂
I think her voice is amazing and am just loving Epik High and Tablo’s lyrics right now.
She’s got an awesome voice. She’s got control and power in her voice and doesn’t cheese the emotions. I really like the song. 🙂 *buys song*
bev, I *LOVE* the song. Added it to my songs… love love love.
“Cheese the emotions “—-love it, lol.
I asked for recs regarding Tablo and another artist and now want to follow up some of her songs. I like when that happens.
Yay, Grey!
Anyone have Elect by Rachel Van Dyken that is loanable? I thought I had all of these… but the ‘Zon gremlins apparently have been at work…
I dont have it Grey. I think I do have something of hers but haven’t read it yet. It might be the first one of that series.
For all you non bread people have you seen the sweet potato toast?
Okay update!!
Finished “No Tomorrow” and I really liked it. Acorn. My heart!!!! The start was a hiccup for me (even though the whole falling for homeless guy was TOTALLY titillating and I was curious how it would play out), but yeah, this is definitely one of our coveted angsty “in love with a troubled rock star” reads!!! Yep! Satisfying.
The ending worked for me (I know some say they needed more explanation from him and how easy she accepted) but I’m good with it. I dunno… I found it was detailed enough for my heart to accept and understand.
Okay so that’s my mini-review (I’m going with 4 stars) and soon I will post my actual review. And I will be reading more by this author. Yep!!!!! 😀
Grey, Elect is free on Hoopla. It’s audio though.
Maryse-Awe Yes Acorn; that made me ugly cry. I became so attached to him. I am glad you stuck it out.
Now to all who said I was a lucky girl reading Tristan and Danika’s story well let me tell you;I honestly have been crying from 70% on (“Rock Bottom”) and currently I am at 86% and I am a mess…I am too scared and well it’s too much. I don’t want to read if what is happening here (Dean) completes itself. *Jenn hugs manny*; thanks Amy for lending him to me.
Ohhhhh, sweet Jenn…just hang in there.
When (not if, but WHEN) it gets worse, just hang in there.
Don’t. Quit. On. It.
And have Lovely Trigger ready and waiting. 😉
I remember being desperate for Tristan and Danika’s story after I read the scene with them in Grounded (the scene takes place in Lovely Trigger). And ohhhhh my, it was even harder to read once I knew their backstory. 😥
I just read Jenn’s feedback on my book Lies We Tell Ourselves, and I wanted to say a big thank you! I’m honored that you read and loved it, and I’m even happier with your takeaway. Many thanks. 🙂
