I’m Blog Stalking – Author News – 12-31-10

I’ve been in a reading frenzy this week. I finished My Fair Succubi (The Succubus Diaries) in one night (very good!), and back onto Diana Gabaldon’s Voyager (Outlander) which is completely rocking my world. Jamie continues to make me swoon (more then I’ve ever swooned before), but then, in a single moment, a "situation" comes to light that makes me wanna slap him!

But for now, I have to come back to the "real world" for at least a little while, and prepare for tonight’s festivities. Since it’s the last day of the year, let’s say goodbye to it by seeing what the authors are up to, and what we might have to look forward to in 2011!

• Alyson Noel tweets: "we are in negotiations now- hope to announce something soon!"
• Ilona Andrews posted the prologue to Magic Slays (Kate Daniels, Book 5)
• Stacia Kane posted an excerpt from her upcoming novel in the Downside series. Oh yah – short but sweet…well not "sweet" exactly, but you get the picture ;). She updates us on the upcoming novel:

Oh, and I’m ripping out and rewriting like 40k words on Downside 4. More explosions! More violence! More dying! I’m hoping it’ll be a really good time when it’s done.

• Stacia also posted a more complete version of her short "e-story" called "The Brave Tale of Maddie Carver". What makes it so wonderful is that it is a part of her Downside series, and the story takes place during "Haunted Week" (which pretty much sets everything in motion.)
• Cassandra Clare updates her blog with an awesome cover reveal of City of Fallen Angels (Mortal Instruments) – just gorgeous!!
• Richelle Mead blogs about her latest "translated" book title ("Succubus Blues", but in Japanese) – quite funny! The title totally made me giggle.
• Gena Showalter lets us in on her upcoming book schedule and there’s a surprise! (Paris’s story coming soon!!)
• J.R. Ward’s "Lover Unleashed (Black Dagger Brotherhood, Book 9)" synopsis (oooooh yes! Can’t wait for March 29th 2011!!):

• Jill Myles updates us on the future of her Succubus Diaries series (♥Zane♥) – hey, get used to it! He’s my #2 vampire. It’s my blog, and I’ll swoon if I want to 😉 tee hee!! Hrmmm… I wonder if he’d approve of the new spelling of his name (ya know…with the permanent hearts and stuff?  hehe)
• Fever fanatics? Karen Marie Moning posts a link to the CD (soundtrack) that you can purchase to accompany the upcoming book, Shadowfever. Wanna see the commercial for the book?
• Katie MacAlister provides us with a sneak peak!! The first chapter of her upcoming book The Unbearable Lightness of Dragons: A Novel of the Light Dragons
• Terri Garey gives us a more in depth glimpse at two men who inspired sexy Sammy! LOVE this blog post, cause I’ve always thought *wow* when I saw that actor from the Mentalist (Simon Baker)…yup that’s pretty much the "Sammy" face for me…and I totally had the Idol ‘tude mixed in. Okay so another *swoon* from me 😉 Can’t wait for Sammy’s next book —>  Devil Without a Cause
