Lily’s Bite of News – 10-28-2010

Hey everyone, do you like my new fedora? I added the “PRESS” badge to it all by myself. Nifty, right?? Well I was stalking looking on the net I found some really cool stuff.

On her blog, Stacia Kane said:

Having some fun with Downside 4. I thought I had a title for it–I really loved it–but the PTB want something “more,” maybe a bit sexier and more exciting, so it’s back to the drawing board for me, sigh. This is where I start throwing my hands up in the air and saying things like, “Why don’t I just call it THERE’S F#*&ING IN THIS BOOK? Is that sexy enough?”
(Note I don’t blame the PTB for this at all; I’m just being funny here. But it is a bit…sigh.)
(Also, now I want to write a book with that title. Maybe it would go with the ridiculously anachronistic historical romance I’ve always thought it would be a hoot to write, the one where characters wish cars had been invented already so they didn’t have to walk, and Regency rakes say things like, “You’re bringing me down!” Well, it’s funny to me. I’ve had to fight the constant urge to put stuff like that in the few historicals I’ve written.)

Can I just say I would totally buy a book that is titled that? I mean who likes all the BS of reading the book to find out what it’s about. I say let’s be blunt. Okay that sounds dirty, sorry Maryse. Can I just say I really hope book 4 is just to the brim full of Terrible? I say just name book four: Cept Terrible – cause really that is what she’s gonna be doing in that book. Cepts and Terrible. Or at least she better be. I mean Lex is okay and everything but after ending book two with such torment and finally getting that moment in book 3 with him, and I know it’s clear he doesn’t trust her but please save me the heartache and keep them together.

Maryse’s sidenote ——> But the torture was sooooooo good. I want more of that. How else to get it but through Lex? Hrmmmm????

Maryse’s sidenote ——>Whhaaaaa?? I totally missed these! I LOVE this series (just two books in and I’m addicted) and OMG Zane is my most  favorite-ist vampire next to “Z” of course. I mean – he’s got WINGS! Black wings!!  I am SO getting both of these books. I know what I’m reading tonight. Little “Z” cheer! YAAAAAAY Z!

Randomly I also checked the Karen Marie Moning site and found some tidbits from the upcoming finale in the Fever series and let’s just say it didn’t make my damn day. Just a few lines stick out at me:

I fall on them like the beast-form of Barrons.

and then this one:

I live with the specter of Alina every day.  Now I will live with this ghost, too. Walk between them, one on my right, one on my left. They will talk to me incessantly. I’ll never escape, bridged between my greatest failures.

Insert bellow of rage here! Are you kidding me?!! Seriously??!! If she killed Barrons I am gonna be pissed to an UNHOLY level. I mean it. I might just boycott her. Seriously. She better leave JZB alone, and get Mac’s head out of her @ss and get her sh*t together and save the damn world already. My night is ruined, and now I will be angry until January when I can confirm he is alive. Don’t think I can’t hold a grudge either, just ask CBS about what happened when they cancelled The Unit. I still have not forgiven them for that and to be totally honest if they ever cancel Big Bang Theory I am washing my hands of ‘em.

Alright that signals the end of this rant and you can come out of your hiding places. So that’s all I got folks. Peace out and don’t forget to put the bottles in the blue bins on your way out, we recycle in this house.
