So I was trying to pick between either Sloth: A Sinful Secrets Novel or King for today’s read and then, lo and behold, that one over there to the left was released. *gah*!!! All of these books sound like so much tumultuous reading-fun and I can’t pick.
Help me!!! One of the 3. I need assistance please. 😀
And don’t get me started on the other latest releases below PLUS those that are coming out tomorrow.
- Priest: A Love Story by Sierra Simone <— FORBIDDEN LOVE ALERT!!! Oh the taboo-ness. 😉 “Six months ago, I broke my vow of celibacy on the altar of my own church, and God help me, I would do it again. I am a priest and this is my confession…”
- About Last Night by Belle Aurora <— MALE ESCORT ALERT + he’s her brother’s best friend… “An enquiring email from a potential client finds him intrigued about the shy, awkward woman. A back and forth is started and before Quinn knows it, a friendship is formed. Time passes and Quinn is smitten. There’s only one problem… The client is his best friends little sister.” <— Ooooooohh!!!!
- Spin Ruin: (A Mafia Romance Two-Book Bundle) by C.D. Weiss <— SUPER-BARGAIN MAFIA BUNDLE ALERT!!! Mafia-romance lovers that don’t have these yet can jump on this mega-sale! “…she keeps getting shelved. Most recently, by her fiancé who happens to be the DA. And she’ll get over it, really. No problem. She’ll just have a nice, short encounter with a mysterious Italian named Antonio who may or may not be involved with some kind of alleged criminal activity…blah blah… Let’s call a spade a spade. He’s a mobster.“
- Corrupted (Russkaya Mafiya Book 4) by <— MORE MAFIA ROMANCE!! “I’m the dirty side of the Mafiya. I clean up the messes. The bodies. The problems. Here in America, I’m the Russian King. I never expected to want my mark. To crave her, to need her.“
- Sins of the Innocent: A Novella by Jamie McGuire <— JAMIE MCGUIRE ALERT!! I LOVED this trilogy, (and this is the *surprise* 4th book…) Her mother is a direct descendant of Christ–and her father, the half-human son of a fallen angel… “her very existence had prompted The Great War“. This is their DAUGHTER’S BOOK and the she falls for the half son of the devil himself!!!!! GASP!! “…the overconfident and charming half-human son of Lucifer takes nothing seriously. Not even when he finally meets the young woman who is destined to end his existence. A common bond is formed under the pressures they face from both sides, but their respective religious texts predict opposite outcomes. Either way, they must choose: war, death, or love.”
- A Lush Reunion by Selena Laurence<— ROCK STAR ALERT! But this is book #4 and I *think* it should be read in order considering what I just read in this blurb.
- Breaking Stars: The Celebrity Series by J. Sterling <– SUPER-STAR ACTRESS ALERT just trying to get away… and then her car breaks down in a small town, and meets him…
- Cole: A Navy Seal Romance by <— STANDALONE & HE’S A NAVY SEAL… and he meets her. But he’s got a BIG secret. “In this small Midwest town everybody knows everything about everybody. Will Cole be able to keep his secret or will Carissa break down his walls and become his trusted ally? His confidant. His lover.“

Amazon says Better When He’s Brave is not releasing until August?
Wait a sec…is Sins of the Innocent book 4 of the Providence series?? ‘Cause I read those *before* Beautiful Disaster (actually, that’s how I ended up reading BD ;)) and loved that series!
I know!! I was deciding between King and A Pound of Flesh… I chose A Pound of Flesh and so far it is amazing!!! I love her writing, the storyline is great, and oh the angst!!! It’s all about the angst! 🙂 loving it so much!!!
Ride Steady!!
Thanks Lynne… looks like I put that one in a long time ago… I’ll take it out. 😀
I’m no help to you Maryse, because I’ve read the two you were debating and started Priest this morning.
I will say that King is amazing, the end is a cliff-hangery twist that had me *wtf-ing* all over the place. Sloth is the best book of 2015 for me so far. And Priest… oooh, dirty delicious taboo angst…
Yeah, like I said, no help. Good luck with your decision 😉
LOL Grey!
Okay… I’m doin’ Sloth!!! YAY ME!!
It sure is Amy!!! 😀 Surprise awesomeness for us!!
I read Sloth and gah! I loved it. But I am at 24% in Priest and sweet baby cheezits I need a cold shower. STAT.
One word: SLOTH.
I read King up to 65%. I do plan on finishing it next, but… something is missing for me. I anticipated King like crazy. I think my expectations were through the roof, I went nutso over the early quotes, kept checking for the release date… It’s good but I found it putdownable. I know I differ on this than the rest of the world. Again, maybe because of high expectations. But, I wasn’t feeling connected. Sloth, to me = unputdownable. It was a good follow-up choice to Ground Rules. I plan to read everything written by Ella James. And I will finish King. Curious what you will think of both of these!!!
I am waiting for Beth Flynn’s sequel to Nine Minutes – Out of Time – was originally going to be out by end of June but looks like it may be a little delayed…I will put down whatever I am reading when that is out!
Marina, I get that…. sometimes our expectations are so high that we get disappointed….
Maryse, I’m in the same boat as you….. Sloth, King or Priest??? I think Sloth is really getting a lot of hype and it sounds different (and I assume it’s standalone so no CH), but I won’t get to it until the weekend so maybe you can read and review it for me first!! Lol!
Finishing Never Let You Go tonight which I am loving!!!
Maryse! You HAVE to read KING 😉 !!!!!! This book is curriculum for all girls who love a good read. It will put emotions in you that will exhaust you!! 🙂 However. I’m reading Sloth too and this book is a big mystery! It’s longer than KING and I think you need to read this as well! Can’t wait to hear your choice 😉
Sloth by Ella james is amazing! You won’t regret reading it!
SLOTH!!! You NEED to read SLOTH. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about this book since I finished reading it.
Sloth was amazing!! Still in the midst of a book hangover….
SLOTH!! How can you say no to 500 pages of delicious smexy times, secrets, a thousand WTH moments & and ugly cry?!
Hey Maryse! I’m currently reading SLOTH by Ella James and WOW, IT’S AMAZING!!! It’s dark and mysterious and will take you on an emotional roller coaster ride! Do give it a try and let us know what you think about it! 🙂
Ok I started Sloth and am 17% in…Holy Crappola I don’t what the heck is happending and I love it! I can tell this one is going to be LEGENDARY! 🙂 Yippie
I have read both Sloth and King. They are both good but Sloth is seriously…I mean…you know? Like…WTF? And then you add some OMG. Yeah, I can’t say anything because you have to live Every. Single. Moment. without having a clue on what’s going on. Seriously. That good.
Sloth by Ella James!! Is ridiculous hot and still reading it but my god this book is good you won’t be disappointed
Spin/Ruin is excellent. Book 3 coming out soon too. Highly recommend.
KFerrell… Glad to know I’m not the only one that had an ugly cry. I made a comment a few days ago that my dog gave me a wtf look because of it. 🙂
I one clicked Priest, but started Bang today so I don’t know when I’ll read it. Maybe tomorrow? Lol~
I read Priest today, it was good… but I think coming off from Sloth, King and The Ground Rules, I just had ridiculously high expectations.
Major book hangover *pout* Need a new recommendation. I’m celebrating my summer off & my house is clean & I just want to relax from my last several months of unending busy-ness.
Okay, Sloth so far…hehe, this is some seriously fun WTF-ery. 😛
YAY Maryse! So glad you’re gonna start Sloth!!! I LOVED IT!
Ok, so I’m not a cryer at all, but Sloth had me ugly-crying. And that’s all I’ll say until your review is out.
😉
Yes, time to read.
🙂
Want to finish before tomorrow’s Ride Steady. I’m really into it and wouldn’t want to put it down for another.
If anyone has read Susanna Kearsley could you rec another? I’m reading her The Rose Garden.
Maryse, I loved Sloth, keeps you guessing all the while giving you the smexy, angsty times. I read the epilogue with my hands covering most of my kindle page because I was so nervous about how it was going to end.
The Allure of Julian Lefray IS LIVE by R.S. Grey. The same author that wrote Scoring Wilder that I loved!! 😉
Priest was on that list of scandalous books I posted… hmmm may have to move that up my tbr list.
Sloth was SO fantastic! you’ll need tissue’s it is a tear jerker!!
Jean – I loved Never Let You Go! I’ve had such a good run on books and now I’m just starting and stopping other books because nothing is comparing to Ground Rules, Sloth and King.
Wow, I am REALLY lovin’ Sloth! 😀
Readin’ it!! 😀
Glad to hear you’re reading Sloth..I loved it! Totally different and I won’t spoil it by saying any more…
For those of you who like Russian mafia books ( like Roxie Rivera’s), you won’t be disappointed in Saphire Knight’s series. I have read the first 3 in the series. She pulls in Russian mafia plus an MC club. A win win!
In my book they had chicken roasted with honey. I’m curious about that now. Love honey. I’ve had chicken with a sticky glaze made with honey but it’s not really a prominent flavor more for the texture I think.
It’s yummy, especially if they glaze it right and the sugars glisten a little. If done right, the honey makes a seal that keeps the juices in as well.
I’m reading The Desert Spear. Fabi! Why am I reading about Jardir so much? Why is there 187 pages dedicated to him? WHY? *this concludes my whining* Seriously good story, but I wish his history was broken up throughout the book.
I really, really liked Never Let You Go too. Felt really unique.
Cheryl thank you for the info! I loved Scoring Wilder too so just one clicked R.S. Grey’s new release as well.
I decided I better not start anything so I can be ready for Ride Steady tomorrow. I’ve been waiting for that one and don’t want any distractions. I keep walking away from Accidentally on Purpose. Not that it isn’t good – it’s just the timing of it, you know? Had it been on the heels of 50 shades and Crossfire, etc, I would have gobbled it up. But right now I need something else, so I will wait for KA.
After that? Who knows!! Too many choices. But it sounds like Sloth must be the one. Can’t wait to hear what you have to say about it, Maryse.
Tessa, that sounds so good.
Cheryl, so you would rec her books? A couple of the covers have caught my attention.
Oh, her The Design is .99.
I’m glad you chose Sloth. It’s a good roller coaster ride kind of book. There are lots of clues sprinkled in and when it all unfolds, it all makes sense.
Bev, yes in addition to Scoring Wilder I read The Duet and The Design. Duet should be read before Design, different main H/h but were in Duet.
Maryse,
Sloth is definitely my most favorite 2015 book! Ella James has outdone herself with this one! All the emotions grab you deeply in this one! Coming out of a book hangover from Ground rules, this was an awesome read! Wow! Ella James, you ROCK!!!
