Happy birthday to everyone that finally gets to celebrate their Feb. 29th birthday. I’ve always been fascinated by leap-year babies. It’s just so weird to have so many non–actual-birthdays ’cause your “day” rarely comes… but it’s here now. :D!!! I remember when I was little, the lifeguard at the pool I swam at would tell us that he was only five years old. Mind you, he looked like a full-grown adult to me, but I was thrilled that I was a couple of years older than him. *snort*!!! 😛 THAT was my first realization that there was a thing called “Leap Year”.
And what a way to end off a month! Okay, OKAY!! I’ll read it by the end of March. No, April. Give me ’til the end of April and I’ll read it. How can I not when you give her that kind of description? Heck, it was the comparison of me with Dani that finally pushed me to read the Fever series!
Oh my gosh. Amy, seriously? You haven’t read Kulti? That book was awesome beyond awesome. The H is the biggest jerky entitled jerk and it doesn’t even start off with love hate but pure GRRR hate. Her dad! You will love her dad. I wanted to hug her dad. *throws peanut* Also, Angst! Did I mention angst? There’s tons of it! *throws bags of peanuts*
Finished Scarred and I did like it. YA and good. He was definitely a jerk face. I just think there could have been so much more meat to the story if the big thing that happened was MORE and the author went there. Also, if leading up to that big thing at the she didn’t add a certain something, it could have really blown me away. Sadly, the pull back really changed it from phenomenal to really fun and good.
Tessa…I have a feeling this will be like when everyone, EVERYONE was telling me to read On the Island for the longest time, and when I finally did I was in a book love fog for days because y’all were right. 😀

Amy, I agree that you should start with Kulti, so so good. Not much I didn’t love but you have to appreciate the slooowww burn. Oh and sidenote, I smacked my head because yeah Dree is in the Smoke and Mirrors collection with Yara duh! I pulled out Petra too to wear soon, that’s my fav from the whole collection.
I need Maryse to read the new Zapata book. Then if she starts checking in with how much she loves it, I will know to read it. Like with Kulti.

I’m about half way through Winnipeg. It’s a little slow moving with lots of narration and little dialogue. I’m not relating to Vanessa very much and I find myself drawn to Aiden even though he’s quite the jerk. There’s something you can see that makes him the way he is even though you have no idea what it is and I just want to hug him. Vanessa not so much. Not too many of her choices and actions are something I’d do and that makes it hard for me to get behind her. Time to get back to it. SOMETHING needs to happen soon!!
