BREAKING NEWS UPDATE!!! A few more HIGHLY anticipated releases AND awesome sales just went up today that made me *squeeeee!!* So I’m adding them here:
- Black Lies by Alessandra Torre <— I LOVED this author’s other book (a standalone) “Sex Love Repeat” so I’m anxious to try this awesome-sounding one! and Rebecca Says: “If you liked/loved Sex Love Repeat! THIS IS FOR YOU!! GAH!!! BRILLIANT!” and Yvette says: “Omg Maryse I read Black Lies in one sitting.. its so good with a twist you didn’t see coming!!!!!!” YEP!!! Just like in Sex Love Repeat. I freakin’ LOVED that twist!!!
- Beast Part 2: An Erotic Fairy Tale by Ella James <— Last week’s first installment blurb had me *oomphing!* and here is part2!
- The Arrangement 16 (The Ferro Family) by H.M. Ward <— each installment in this series appears to be HIGHLY anticipated (going by the comments & emails that I receive, asking when the next will be out). LOL!
- Ten Below Zero by Whitney Barbetti <— Ling found us this one saying: “Know nothing of the author but the blurb sounds like I might be in for a ride.” and sure enough, GAH!!! That blurb makes me wanna cry already!
- Loving Mr. Daniels by Brittainy C. Cherry <— TRIED & TRUE by ME!!! Teahcer-student romance that I LOVED LIKE CRAZY!! 5 stars from me (here’s my review)
I’m in book-candy overload with this exceptionally *squee-worthy* list. MMA fighters, bull riders, military men, ex-convicts and just plain’ ol bad boys (<— LOL! Like they can possibly be plain). 😉 Lots to choose from and a wide-range of ’em are appealing to me, today. From my usual bad-boy attraction, to sweet-sounding heroes/cops, to single pregnant women, to single fathers (lots of those today!), to LOTS of book-women fleeing their abusive book-husbands today (which to me equals lots of hero potential)! Even… one… with the Devil looking for his due.
Like the sexy bartender that DOES NOT want to take her V-card. *waggles eyebrows* (The Write Stuff), and Be My Hero (about a single pregnant woman and a guy out on parole… but it kind of sounds sweet ya know? Plus it’s part of her “Forbidden Men” series and I already like the sound of that!), Surviving Love (another single pregnant woman and a moody guy moves into her house!), Seaside Dreams (’cause he’s a single father/cop that meets her out on patrol one night), Rules of Protection (she’s in the witness protection program and her special agent “handler” has to hide her deep in the Texas woods… with him ;)) In His Wildest Dreams (she’s hiding from her abusive ex with her young son and gets a job at an ex-convict’s house), I Want It That Way (she moves into the apartment above cute yet taciturn single father…) OR!! Crave (<— *eeeeep!!!* The woman hiding from the Devil himself, since her soul was promised to him upon her birth… and then he finds her).
P.S. Let me know if I’m missing any or if you loved any (from this list or elsewhere).
P.P.S. Don’t have a Kindle? No problem! Amazon offers various free Kindle apps and a free Kindle Cloud reader for any and ALL of us to use. You can either use the free Kindle App for your smartphone, tablet, AND your desktop computer (just like you’re using a Kindle, but right through your web browser <— No need to download anything! )
BARGAINS (NOTE: bargain priced when I added them, but prices can change on Amazon, so make sure to check before you finalize your order).
- Hold On Tight (Sea Breeze Book 8) by Abbi Glines <— I believe this one can be read as a standalone!
- Tangled Thing Called Love: Life and Love on the Lam by Juliet Rosetti <— she’s got a hit boyfriend but… “Mazie knows that bringing a guy home is a recipe for disaster, especially when she’s not sure whether their relationship is serious or just seriously steamy.”
- Tag Chaser (Chasers Book 1) by Kandi Steiner <— This looks good! I guess she’s got a thing for military men but was hurt in the process and decided no more! And then she meets “Corbin Ray”. But “…when an accidental discovery reveals that Corbin is in the Army, she knows she must run the other way and never look back. Although it kills her, she aims to move on and look for a new prospect. There’s just one small problem. Paisley’s been assigned a new client at work, and his name is Corbin Ray.“
- Song Chaser (Chasers Book 2) by Kandi Steiner <– Oh this looks like potential romantic angst! Don’t read this blurb if you haven’t read book #1 yet (above), ’cause I think they can probably be read as standalones BUT the story *seems* to continue as they have repeating characters from one book to the next… A musician who’s totally into his best friend (has been for years) but she chose someone else. He tries to move on and eventually meets the new girl working at the bar he goes to… but “With Paisley still haunting Tanner and Kellee vowing to save anyone the trouble of loving her, will the pain and fear keep them apart – or will they find a way to rewrite their song together?“
- Saving My Submission (The Doms Of Genesis Book 4) by Jenna Jacob <— BDSM club book (Club Genesis)! Recently released but I think I missed it the first time around so I’m adding it here. She didn’t realize she had a submissive side until she met him… “Determined to resist his powerful draw, I tried to forget him, but Fate—and a killer—had other plans. Now, in Joshua’s arms, I might be safe, but I fear my heart isn’t.”
- Keeping Mr. Right Now: A Kisses in the Sand Novel (Entangled Bliss) by Robin Bielman <— also recently released and today. Bad boy surfer trying to clean up his image… “Sophie Birch is the perfect girl to help reform his image. She’s genuine and respected—and their relationship is purely fictional. But the more Sophie blooms under the beachy sun, the more Zane knows he’ll just break her heart. Because nothing’s more important to Zane than following the tide.”

She kept running, until she landed in Salt Rock, Alabama. She meets Roam Cooper, the Vice President of the Mayhem Motorcycle Club. For the first time in her life, Lacey considers staying…and then right before her eyes, her world falls apart, and she runs again.” <— Eeeep!!
- Bedrock by Britney King <— Aimee found us this one too! Sounds tumultuous! “…Like many women, Addison is defined in terms of marriage and motherhood, until she suddenly finds her life turned upside down by her husband’s decision to take a job thousands of miles away. When her tough-as-nails boss offers her an opportunity she can’t refuse, Addie is forced to make difficult choices…“

What Eris didn’t know was that the very monsters she hunted were watching her, and that being tamed wasn’t what would kill her after all.“

- Sweet on You (Sweet on a Cowboy) by Laura Drake <— BULL RIDER ALERT!! “Taking a job as an athletic trainer on the Pro Bull Riding circuit seems like the perfect escape from her grief-except Katya doesn’t know anything about bulls, and even less about the tough men who ride them. But one night, Nadia’s and Ty’s paths cross, and soon they can’t stay away from each other.“
- Ultimate Sins (The Callahans) by Lora Leigh <— “Ex-Marine Crowe Callahan has only had one obsession in life: Amelia Sorenson. She is the only one who has ever gotten under his skin. However, she is also the daughter of his family’s sworn enemy...”

- Winning Love (Love to the Extreme Book 3) by Abby Niles <— MMA FIGHTER ALERT!! Space between us by Annie Michaels and A whole new crowd by Tijan is also on sale price of $99.
JUST finished Be My Hero before heading over to look @ this list….I LOVED it!!!! It had been a week or so since I’d read a book I didn’t skip thru. This one held me from beginning to end!!
Great list – lots of new-to-me reads! I’m thinking of starting with Rules of Protection!
Thanks Shell, I picked up A Whole New Crowd since I’ve been eyeing it based on the description and reviews. It sounds interesting and different – have you read it?
Loved Be My Hero by Linda Kage! It was great. Also, Assumption (Underground Kings #1) by Aurora Rose Reynolds released yesterday. I am reading this one now and loving it. This book is a spin off of her Until Series (Until November, Until Trevor, Until Lilly, and Until Nico), which means even more hot alpha males. It’s a standalone with a new couple for every book in the series.
Okay great! I’ll add these extra ones you guys have just mentioned. THANKS!! 😀
Whole New Crowd was pretty good. I fell for someone other than their main male, though. A good, strong heroine, and a lot of intrigue. Also, the main male is hot, I just saw huge potential for the other guy.
I can’t afford my tbr samples at this point! Crave looks insane, and Doesnt Play Well with Others looks intense! That with On the Record, and Keatlyn Chronicles released yesterday, I’m going to be poor! What a happy way to lose all my money.
Penny Reid’s latest Beauty and the Mustache available on most eg. Kobo, but not on Amazon until Thursday.
Started Sweet Fall. Really good so far and the author is so brave putting her own personal experiences into the h thoughts and actions. 😉
This list is sooooo long….. You are killing me Maryse!
Against the Cage by Sidney Halston is .99 right now. Been wanting that one!
Hi Michelle, no I have not read ‘A whole new Crowd’ yet but I got it yesterday and I was too eager to tell you guys that its on sale price with out realising that Maryse was still in the middle of adding more links. I have just started reading ‘coming Home’ at the moment and just finished ‘ The Space between us’.
Wich one are you picking Maryseeee ???
“I want it that way” seems interesting….. What do you think ???
Never Me by Kate Stewart and Rules of Protection by Alison Bliss is also $99.
Oh no Shell now I clicked on Rules of Protection too – no more, I’m buying no more haha
Ok Michelle No More for now, so how many did you one click ? and what are currently reading?
I got A Whole New Crowd, Rules of Protection, Be My Hero and Kades Turn (already planned on picking that one up). I just finished Forever, Interrupted and LOVED it so much and now I’m going with Comfort Food which I never knew about until Maryse put up the 10 books that stay with you post from a few days ago.
Oh and I bought Mr X today too so thats over my apparently make-believe budget for today
I have not heard about forever, interrupted, who is the writer? I have read comfort Food and I loved it, will keep you on edge and mess with your mind but the whole crazy ride will be well worth it.
Against the Cage by Sidney Halston is on sale for .99 and the entire box set of Until Series by Aurora Reynolds is also .99
Shell see this post: https://www.maryse.net/news/bargain-and-freebie-ebooks/too-many-awesome-deals-today-i-had-to-make-a-mini-list.html
You just missed the sale but I highly recommend it! Excited about Comfort Food even more now.
Thanks Michelle I will check it out and may be wait for it to on sale again or if I am in the mood just get it anyway. I like to read recommended books, I don’t know how I missed it. Enjoy the crazy ride, your excitement is really catching, you are making me want to read it again !!!
Okay I’m home and now reading the comments… and then trying to pick a book! 😀
Darn it! I can’t choose!!!!
That “batch” that I listed up there in my “rambling” section… I still can’t figure out which. They all look equally good to me.
I’m thinking one of the pregnant girls, ’cause I dunno. I think I’m in the mood for that situation. Er… not in real life mind you. LOL!!!
Or maybe…. “I Want It That Way” (yes Eduarda!! 😀 maybe this one!!)’cause I’m in the mood for a grumpy hot guy. I love it when people live together or are neighbors… ’cause of the pining. *sigh*
Which one?
Michelle!! Beware of Comfort Food. GAH! One of my favs but NOT an easy read (and it will mess with your head). I’m dying to know what you think.
Maryse, maybe I’m going blind from all the social media and multiple books I’m reading, but I didn’t see this one in your list.
VAIN – Part Three is available now on Amazon Kindle.
If you ladies were waiting for the complete series before reading this I believe this is it.
AND you really don’t want to miss Vain. It is mind blowing!
You just gotta read it to know what I mean ’cause I can’t think of a way to describe it without giving things away. That’s Maryse’s talent. I always have to bite my tongue/fingers.
So just read it already wouldya? Lol
LOL!!! Okay I’m adding it in right now, and creating a series reading order for it. I’ve been hearing awesome things!
Oh yeah. It’s one of my favs, even though it’s one of those annoying serials. But it’s dirty and mean and steamy and mind blowing wicked with a modern day heroine owns it (life), until…
Ahh everyone is talking it up but I can’t start until I finish up some work. I’ll post when I finish to let you know what I thought and if my mind is permanently damaged…
For once, nothing is calling to me – so I can stick to me TBR list. I know a bunch of people are excited about Kade’s Turn, but I am one of those people that doesn’t particularly like the same exact story told by another person’s point of view. It’s like the author gets to charge me twice for the same story. If you wanted to let us know what he was thinking, why not include it in the original book? Anyone else put off by this trend? Now, if it is a new story (like when EIT was told from Dex’s POV) then I don’t mind at all.
Oh Michelle’s…me, me, me! I know I’ve made comments about that before. Feel the same way you do about a sequel with the other POV. I think my only exception, ever, was Stephanie Myers’ on Edward’s POV. That was really good and I was so pissed she decided not to finish it.
I finally get some time to check in, and what a crazy mix of a list to come home to! Heart of Light is definitely moving near the top of my TBR list, and I must be in the mood for some single-mama angst ’cause Be My Hero and Surviving Love are realllllly looking good right now. 😉
*gasp* I just realized we only have seven more days until One More Chance!!!! 😀 Even though Grant has some work to do before he is elevated from a$$hat status, he is a Rosemary Beach guy so it goes without saying that I’m dropping everything to read that one!! 😀
So, this isn’t a *Rosemary* Beach martini, but it’s close enough in name that it works for me and I’m gonna celebrate with it!!
https://www.drinksmixer.com/drink2125.html
And I’m making extra for our resident martini snatcher. *giggle*
*scrolls back up to see what “Heart of Light” is about*
Oooooooh yeaaahhhhhh that one sounds darkish!!! And then she meets someone…. and then….
Yay! That means TWO martinis for me. LOL!!!! 😛
A couple caught my interest but no stop drop and roll. Have two of those next month with Nalini Singh and KA’s Deacon. Anybody want to read with?
No reading for me tonight. Well got a little bit of The Cuckoo’s Calling in. So, let me live vicariously through you guys. What’s every one reading?
“I’m thinking one of the pregnant girls, ’cause I dunno. I think I’m in the mood for that situation. Er… not in real life mind you. LOL!!!” <—– Dangit! Why'd you have to go and clarify that?? I would have had soooo much fun with that one. 😛
Two martinis for you? What do you mea… Ohhhh, ya brat!!! LOL!
LOL!!!!! I was waitin’ for you to come around to that. Yah I need to not be so proactive with the “fixing it” before Amy gets to it… LOL!
YEP!! Me <--- the martini snatcher!!!! You think giving me my own is gonna solve the problem?
Just finished on the record it was sooo good! I think I like this series more than her avoiding series which I loved ( minus the ending) if you have not checked it out yet your missing something so so good!
LOL!! I’ve created a monster…no, a Beautiful Disaster!
I heard that collective groan!
Summer, so you didn’t like the ending to the Avoiding series? I don’t remember others’ feedback on how things turned out so I’m curious about what you ladies here thought of it. The turn of events in book 3 caught me by surprise, but I ended up liking how things ended up. But that’s just me, and well…ya know. And I forgot the Record series was by her! I’m going to have to wait until book 3 is out though…it’s not pretty when I get p!ssy over a book. 😉
I actually kind of liked the ending… my friend Sherry… not so much. LOL!
It definitely seemed like one of those endings where people would be either really happy or really upset with it. I can’t believe how the author swayed me the way she did! Kind of like the second Accidentally on Purpose book.
Oh wait…you wouldn’t know about that, would ya, Maryse?
*snicker* I think my sweet tea has some p!ss and vinegar in it tonight. 😛
Hey as long as my martini is untouched, I’m good. 😉
Yah… I ummm… I didn’t read that one yet. *blush*
Your list is like a novel today Maryse. I think I am going with one that’s actually not on your list and is only .99. Looks intriguing.
Ten Below Zero by Whitney Barbetti. Know nothing of the author but the blurb sounds like I might be in for a ride.
https://www.amazon.com/Ten-Below-Zero-Whitney-Barbetti-ebook/dp/B00N272BRS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=undefined&sr=8-1&keywords=Ten+below+zero+Whitney
I think I eventually liked the ending of the Avoiding Series. Leading up to it I was thinking differently.
Not sure what to read after I finish Sweet Fall. Will have to look at TBR list.
Amy did you finish Sins and Needles? Any good?
Hi Marcy, have to put “Reasonable doubt” series on your radar. By Whitney G Williams. Love, love love. A fun time to be had. Please read all thee.
Claudia
Thanks Linh just one clicked it. Seems like a amazing book judging from the blurb.
Reading Be My Hero and it’s cute. I’m still “getting into” it, ’cause I think I was thinking it would be a bit more… serious or intense. Writing style is more light and quirky, but good so far. But 15% has me chuckling. A lot!
Okay yah, if you go into this looking for funny and sweet, you got it! I’ve switched my reading “mode” into the right “mood” for this book, and I’m enjoying it.
Finished On the Record and I absolutely loved it! My only grrr is I have to wait until Nov for book 3. I want it now! 🙂 Read Crave and it was more erotica than I expected. Also too short. *shrugs* Then again, it is a novella.
Also I can’t believe I missed the book at the top, Rival. I loved Bully too much to ignore that!
Alright, I’m putting Be My Hero in the Super Sweet Collection in my Kindle app…looks like I’ll need it after Ten Below Zero. That one looks likes it’s gonna *oomph* me. 😉 Thanks, Linh!
Cheryl, I’m still working on S&N *sheepishly peeking around for Jean* because we had company staying with us. Good lord, don’t they know I have books waiting to be read?!?!? *hee hee*
Reasonable Doubt 3 was great!
I did a search but didn’t see theses ( I may be blind from reading so much)
Beast #2 Ella James
Black Lies Alessandra Torre Mind F@(k Freaking Fabulous!!
The Arrangement (The Ferro Family) #16 H.M Ward
Did I miss them?? This list was long this week!!
Oh!! Maryse and Cheryl – remember I mentioned those tutorials on Youtube that I love? What do you mean you don’t remember?? Whatever… ANYways, look at this one she did for purple eye colors. She uses MAC colors (um, yeah…I’m totally buying those eyecolors now ;)) but you could use the purple quad in the same way. SEXY!!!!!!!!
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=1yQlv5vxKZ8
She is so goofy. LOL!
Rebecka! Thanks for that reminder. 🙂 I forgot it was coming out, and it looks sooooo good!
I meant Black Lies. 😉
Amy- AmazonUS had some issues posting some releases on 8/26 they were delayed until last night. IT.WAS.TORTURE. Amazon gift card balance be damned!!…..not being able to wait and went to ibooks. If you liked/loved Sex Love Repeat! THIS IS FOR YOU!! GAH!!! BRILLIANT!
Maryse I tore through Comfort Food at lunch and now I’m still sitting here in a stupor trying to figure out what I just read. I don’t know if it was suppose to be a happy-like ending or a cautionary tale…I mean even the main character finished with that letter which made it seem like she might be strong enough to grab something unconventional that she always had latient tendencies toward or she might just be crazy and brainwashed. Mind blown…no spinning – thanks for bringing this one to my attention! Now I for sure need something light – picked up Be My Hero too and that sounds like a needed ‘cute’ read.
35% into Ten Below Zero and I have to say I am digging it ALOT. Unconventional situation. Interesting characters. Great writing. It kinda reminds me of The Edge of Never and we all love that journey.
Amy you didn’t finish S&N yet?!?!? I did and loved it but then I squirreled back to the Reed Brothers series which I am absolutely loving so much! I know I said I would jump right into On Every Street especially since there is a “slight” cliffhanger to S&N, but the Book Dom was busy with you, MichelleS, bev, Fabi, and of course Maryse, so I got away with it!! Lol!
Linh, OMG I just read the blurb for Ten Below Zero and got serious goosebumps!!!! Wow….. and I loved Edge of Never!
Hey is anyone using Kindle Unlimited? Wondering if it’s worth it and noticing some of the recent books I have bought would have been free with the Unlimited subscription! Just curious and appreciate any feedback!
Jean, I’m using it. Just done with my first free month. I think I’m going to keep it. You can have up to 10 books checked out at one time. Then you have to return one before you get another. At no point during this past month have I ever had less than 10 books checked out. So they have variety. I always find at least some from Maryse’s Tues list on Kindle Unlimited.
Of course I still have to buy new releases but my family and friends know to give me gift cards to B&N for birtdaus and holidays. 🙂
I’ll have to track it closer to know for sure, but I think I’m saving a bit of money with it.
I think I meant Maryse’s Friday list. Her bargain list in any case.
Oh you have to return them? I don’t like that idea because what if I want to reread them…… I am a book hoarder!!! Haha! Thanks for the input!
I’m using Kindle Unlimited too. I just ended my 1st month. Going to give it a go for a few months see how it goes…wasn’t keen about not owning either, but If I end up really wanting it I just buy it anyway. I created a bookshelf specifically for that on GR just to keep track….. Because knowing me I’d be scratching my head…..coulda swore I bought that! LOL
The last three books I read, in order, were Ugly Love, Maybe Someday, and Forever Interrupted. Needless to say I have been ugly crying for days and can’t get out of this funk. I don’t know what to read – I don’t know how much more heartache I can take. This morning I woke up to swollen eyes and tear-shedding-induced dehydration headache.
Any suggestions?
Amy that girl was “goofy”, but I liked how she applied the eyeshadows.
Black Lies looks really good, maybe will read that after finish Sweet Fall- which is really good. Don’t know if I can handle Ten Below Zero right after TTM.
I just finished my first free month on Amazon Unlimited and will also keep it for a whole to see if it pays off. It definitely did for the first month. I was reading the Kathleen Turner series when I first signed up and the last three books were free for me.
I am almost done with Fighting Destiny and loving it. Then the first book from the Dark Hunter series. I’m trying to get up with you guys on the paranormal stuff. I fear it is a losing battle.
Thanks for the feedback girls! I think I will try it and do like Rebecka is doing and buy the ones I really love.
Mary, I suggest Reed Brothers series! First book is Tall,Tatted and Tempting and it was free last time looked!!
Thanks, Jean! Just downloaded it and am about to begin!
Oh, ladies…I think Mary needs a snuggle! *yanking everyone in for a group snuggle*
Nope, Jean, not finished yet. We had company who wanted to stay an extra night, so I fell behind. I’ll be finishing it tonight though and then are we on to OES? “…I am a book hoarder!!!” <—– And for this I luffs you more! 😉
Cheryl, her makeup is beautiful, right? Check out this one (it has like 5 million views!). I tried it, and it's actually pretty easy!
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4fur_12EEc
I hope you like it Mary!
Yes Amy onto OES as soon as you are ready! Don’t you hate when real life gets in the way of our reading?!? Lol!
Amy, beautiful smoky eyes and her eyebrows are to die for.
Don’t know what I will start next, Sins and Needles, or the Reed Brothers series or Black Lies …ugh too many good choices out there!!! I have book ADD!!
Real life has been interfering with my reading time too. 😉
Do yourselves a favor and DO NOT READ SPOILERS when reading Black Lies. You will go through many emotions and few gut wrenching moments, but trust me it will all be worth it!!
Lol, Amy I was only able to do like a minute of that vid. Too goofy, but she does have pretty eyes.
I bought the Mr. Daniels and a Georgette Heyer that was on sale. But I think tonight is going to be a tv night.
@ Fabi are you close to WIR or did you squirrel?
Not close yet Bev. Too little free reading time available right now with the start of the semester. Its next on my list but it may get bumped to 2nd since The Beautiful.Ashes is out already. I don’t think I can squirrel anything by that author.
Ooooh, good to know about watching out for possible Black Tie spoilers. I’m realllllly excited about starting that one! 😀
Bev, I’ve watched a few of her videos and that is definitely the goofiest I’ve seen so far, lol. Is it surprising that she reminds me of the majority of my friends? 😉
Two words. Black Lies! Okay three…whoa!
Maryse,
I wanted to thank you so much for featuring my new release! Not just with a cover but with a little blurb with some eeepppp!
I did a google search and I eeeppp’d myself!
You’re awesome! And you made my night!
– B.
Bev – I am finishing The Winter King tonight and next on my TBR list is Written In Red!!! I hope no one distracts me by dangling some shiny new one out there….
And I second the recommendation for Reed Brothers series – LOVED Tall Tatted and Tempting –
I thought I was doing so good this week with this amazing list. I had only added Vain 3 to my TBR. Since I don’t have much time to read, why torture myself by continuing to add to my TBR list?
So I only skimmed the list. Several times, mind you, but quick skims. It was killing me, but my willpower was holding strong.
For all of two days! Yup, I relapsed. (Lol). As I was skimming, yet again, this morning, – because, face it, who can resist at least skimming Maryse’s lists – my eyes came to a dead stop and about popped out of my head.
And so now, yes *hanging head in shame* I’m officially off the wagon. But I went two whole days…ahem, maybe that’s not so brag worthy since I’d added one to my TBR already.
This morning, I went all fangirl when I saw Bonnie Bliss posted. Cause you know that’s just what I do when An author posting. Got her book now, oh yeah, of course. I only thought I could resist.
Then I noticed Eyes of the Woods had released. I’ve been fascinated by this one since the cover reveal. Plus she’s Jamie McGuire’s daughter. – It’s on my TBR now too.
I had preordered Jeanine Frost’s new one. Noticed Lora Leigh had one on sale, picked it up along with that erotica set (you never know when the mood will strike for one of those.
I think it’s back to rehab for me, cause I didn’t do so good with abstaining. 😉
You guys are tempting me with all your comments and suggestions too, but I’m still way back on LMFY with Crazy Good also started. That’s downright embarrassing. I blame some of these 14 hour work days. Between classes, meetings, office work and students, I’m dead on my feet when I get home and fall asleep trying to read. I want a job that let’s me sit on my couch in my PJs reading books. I would love the long hours then. 🙂
Michelle S Yay!!! Can’t wait to hear what you think. I have the first Reed brothers and moved it up based on your rec.
Fabi I hate that feeling of being to tired to read. I put in an old sitcom to veg out with last night. Then was to tired for that too, lol.
Oh Bev, my few shows I watch (Outlander) are two weeks behind waiting on my DVR. If I don’t have time to read I sure don’t have time for TV
I was a bit disappointed in ‘Reasonable doubt 3’. It is a good series, that I would recommend to a friend but the last book just does not deliver. I watched readers anxiously waiting for this last book in the series and I one clicked it straight away but it just did not live up to the hype.
There was not enough romance or erotica. Too many pages of information I just did not care to read and the very end took a total nose dive for me. I was waiting for this exciting thing or event to happen towards the end but it never came. The epilogue did not excite me at all.
I picked up a cheap book this time around. I got Against the Cage which was on sale. It was alright. Super funny, super cute, but not super angst. I recommend it for a fun light read. BUT then I picked up the free one in Netgalley. The 2nd one, Full Contact that isn’t out yet. AND– HOLY CRAP. That chick (author) picked up a few pointers along the way. It was so good. Sidney has a new fan with me. It was awesome. The BEST break up scene I’ve ever read. Seriously– it paralleled Travis/Abby. I cried. Literally on the floor ugly cried. I don’t even know why I picked it up since I didn’t love the 1st one, but I’m so glad I did.
Oh I’m so excited Georgina, ’cause I liked #1 (Against the Cage) but like you it was good for me. About 3.5 stars. I’m SO excited about hearing this for #2.
What is Netgalley?
Just finished Ten Below Zero and what an amazing unique story! Such a great read if anyone is on the fence. I definitely cried but both sad and happy tears. Highly recommend this one!
Started Black Lies. Halfway thru and still don’t know exactly what is going on, but whatever it is, things are f*%@ed up!!!!
Saw a commercial for the Movie “If I Stay.” Did anyone read that book and it’s sequel “Where She Went”? Intrigued…
If I Stay was a wonderful read. And one I read at just the right moment and mood. I think I saw the book first mentioned here, so am going to guess there is a review hanging out somewhere.
Bev- thanks and there is a review of If I stay and it’s sequel! 😉
Saw Reasonable Doubt 3 on here, so thought I’d look at the series. I recommend it -read all three in less than a day, although the third lost pace a little bit. The main man is irresistibly bad!
