<—HAPPY NEW RELEASE TUESDAY EVERYONE!!! And look what’s LIVE!!! 65+ new goodies today (coupled with yesterday’s 30 earlybird releases, and I say, we have some AWESOME choices to pick from!
For me? These blurbs gave me that extra jolt! The Time in Between (Kristen Ashley!!! Need I say more? She served him a crippling blow that he’s never gotten over, and now years later, she’s back…) The Right Time: (she’s a famous author, but writes under a man’s name and leads a double life!!), Dr. NEURO (Max Monroe’s sexy-steamy romance… a single dad neurosurgeon until SHE comes along), Disorderly Conduct (Tessa Bailey’s latest!! He’s a cop-in-training, and a one-night stand leads to her falling for him hard… even though that’s against her romance rules), Montana Heat (He’s an undercover DEA officer and finds her stranded with a young boy by her side, in a blizzard, realizes she’s a famous actress that’s been missing for over a year, and takes her in. Oooooh that sounds SO good), Mr. Big (tee hee!!! Well of course the cover got me 😉 but the fact that he’s her arrogant jerk-face boss and she’s falling for him sounds quite promising)
P.S. Don’t forget to check out yesterday’s earlybird book releases that make up a large number of our favorite authors! Like Tijan, Jessica Redmerski, Erin Watt, Stylo Fantome, and so may more!! It’s like a mini Tuesday list!! They snuck in early!! 😉 ➔ 30 Earlybird Book Releases

Good Morning! Did I beat Grey?! Thanks for the list Maryse!
Second!!! *touchdown dance because I have a new K.A. and Hate to Love You is awesome!!!*
*grumbles* morning…. Working…
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE! THANKS MARYSE FOR YOUR LOYALTY TO US BOOK ADDICTS, THAT YOU CONTINUE TO ADD TO THE ADDICTION! SMOOCHES
*smooches and hugs*
It is my pleasure!!! It’s feeds my list-making/organizing addiction along with my book addiction. 😉
Am I awake? Why am I awake? *looks through the list* Anyone who likes erotica and dystopian should read Kit Rocha. They’re really good.
I’m reading Sebastian by Anne Bishop. Far more romance than her usual, though the tense fantasy is still there.
Anyone here from Fabi or MichelleS?
I’m here Tessa. *waves wildly*
Sebastian by Anne Bishop you say? New series?
August has not been good to me. I have way too many that I squirreled away from.
You guys don’t forget, if you want to play the Pick for Me game, sign up today or tomorrow at the latest since I’ll be doing the random name draw on Thursday.
I’m looking forward to someone else picking my book since I’m not doing a great job of it lately. 😉
*huggles*
Not new. It was released in 2007, but I’m enjoying it. It takes a long time to meet the female romance character because it is still more fantasy than romance, but compared to The Others, it’s far more romance. I think that’s because Meg and Simon needed to take longer, but I’m enjoying this one. 🙂
Runs to look up Sebastian by Anne Bishop!!! I love her writing. Plus more romance is always good! I’m almost done with A Discovery of Witches. That is one loooong book. I’m reading Kristen Ashley’s book next.
lol Discovery of Witches is long. All of that series is long, but I loved it, especially how smart it was, without the usual historical tropes that you sometimes find in time travels.
Hi Maryse,
Also out today is an amazing book by USA Today BS Vanessa Fewings called The Chase! It’s steamy, filled with suspense and has a hot alpha male. Thanks!
I’m adding it to the Friday list. Thank you Debra!! 😀
Thank you Maryse! Xoxo
Bev! Shadowsong! https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0732Q4ZBC/ref=pe_1884310_252137680_pe_re_csr_ea_title
Aw man, I missed out on all the hugs and smooches today! 🙁
I’m going to go console myself with that list up there…
*huggle attacks and smooches cheek*
*squeals and snuggles Tessa*
I love cheek smooches!! 😀
Thank you for another wonderful list Maryse! It’s such a fun thing to sit down with a cuppa and browse through all of the new shinies.
Yay! How to Date a Douchebag finally on sale!
Fabi, I was thinking about you. Are you affected by the hurricane at all?
Reading and seeing all of the Hurricane devastation is breaking my heart. I can’t even believe my eyes!!!
It’s terrible, but the rain is finally slowing down. I posted a bunch of pics yesterday on FB with some good charities. The Bookworm Box is doing a great one for the Louisiana Cajun Army who took their boats in to make rescues.
I shared that post, R!! Thank you for providing those links. <3
Scratch that. Just started up again. Son of a b!%&$!
I should probably add “in Houston.” Louisiana is getting hit now.
Thank you for sharing! It’s nice to find charities that give 100%.
Thanks Jean. I’m just north of the devastation. I have lots of friends in the Houston area since I grew up there. This is insane. Heartbreaking.
Thanks for feeding my book addiction too Maryse! Now to decide on my one-clicks.
Heartbreaking is the right word Fabi.
Thanks for sharing the links to charities.
Uh, where are the links to charities?
I shared them on My Facebook page but here they are again:
This is what R posted:
“My awesome friend, fellow writer, co-Texan, Erica Lynn is one of many stuck in #harvey hell right now. These pictures are of her neighborhood just outside of Houston, Texas. The rain is relentless—worse today that it was yesterday, with no plans of slowing down for at least another 48 hours.
The rescue mission is ongoing and the relief effort has only just begun. If you can donate, please do.
The Bookworm Box is supporting the Louisiana Cajun Navy, a group of 100% volunteers who use their personal boats to provide relief during natural disasters. The Bookworm Box will match donations 100% up to the goal amount (and they just doubled it!). Click here to donate ➜ https://www.youcaring.com/thelouisianacajunnavy-916476
JJ Watt has already raised over $1.5 million for Houston Flood Relief Fund! Click here to donate ➜ https://www.youcaring.com/victimsofhurricaneharvey-915053
**Please feel free to share** I’d like to draw as much attention as possible to these awesome charities.”
Thanks for posting Maryse! As of today, JJ Watt has raised almost $9.5 million! And Bookworm is almost up to $30k for the Cajun Army.
FLT “A Charm of Finches” by Suanne Laqueur: “If you could trade places with anyone for a day, would you?” 😀 😀 😀
Thoughts and prayers to all those in Texas. Glad you are ok Fabi.
Same 1st line as R!!!! The writing…..amazing! Am I allowed to post that I am currently reading on GR?
Yes Jean, I have been. It’s like having a status update support group.
FLT
“The beeping of the checkout scanner is monotonous, a dull drone I barely hear anymore, as it melds with Wilson Philips’s Hold On playing on the loudspeaker radio.” ~ Ghosted by J. M. Darhower 😀
Wish You Were Here was REALLY good, I just would have liked a bit more of a struggle for her in the last part of it. Growth is great, but it seemed like more of a life perspective-lecture of sorts throughout a good portion of the last part (or maybe it just seemed like it because I was bored ;)) so I skimmed a bit, and it was just too…easy, I guess, at least for my taste. *shrug* I still recommend it though!
Yay you’re reading Ghosted!!
I’m so glad you guys are doing okay, Fabi and R!!! Prayers and love to all those who have been impacted by Harvey.
And it is AMAZING to see all the ways people are trying to help. Witnessing the good in people coming out is so heartwarming in such a heartbreaking situation.
Yep R, started it this morning!! 😀
Yay Amy! Hope you love it!
FABI WHERE ARE YOU *SHOUTS LOUDER THAN CAPS*
Lalalalalalala… in K.A. reading heaven!
Thoughts and prayers with all in the H.Harvey path!
Same first line as R and Jean! I’ve been lucky enough to get an ARC of Charm of Finches too. And yes, awesome writing! It’s a big fascinating read to really sink your teeth into.
My top book I read in August would have to be Devil In Spring by Lisa Kleypas. Her latest HR. I put off reading it for months – I don’t know why! But Devil In Spring was LOVELY. What a beautiful book. I remember bev saying she smiled all the way through. Yes! Pandora the slightly kooky/klutzy, sweet, innocent, clever and determined-to-be-independent h. Gabriel the gorgeous, sexy, experienced, warm and loving H who falls in love with her. *happy sigh*
Thoughts and prayers to all those affected by Harvey.
Best of August:
Until it Fades by K.A. Tucker
(slow burn romance w/single mom h & famous hockey player H)
Forget/Blur duet by N.A. Alcorn (very emotional & swoony rockstar romance)
FLT: “AND WHAT IS THIS?” Jay and I broke apart from our kiss to find Hayley standing in the doorway.” -The Impossible Vastness of Us by Samantha Young
My top August reads were The Lying Game by Ruth Ware (I love my drama, mystery, close friendships) and The Ice Beneath Her by Camilla Grebe. It was a good, well written thriller.
On a side note, I’m seriously struggling to read a whole dang book over here. It’s like I’ve got some major ADD going on at the moment. I’ve got at least 4 in my line up that I know are going to be fantastic, but I’m having the most difficult time pushing through any of them. It’s like that with even watching a movie or tv show too. I feel scatter brained. And tired and I’ve got a lot on my mind, I guess. Like future scheduling stuff and everyday routine and cooking food even, lol. And everytime I really start getting in a groove, I have to stop and I have no patience!! I know I’ll never get to finish soon and I get sidetracked and give up for a while and try to find some motivation while I wait for the right moment to come along and when it does…ADD. So, any pointers for when, maybe, anyone else might get in this type of funk??
Speaking of scatter brain- for all you facial hair lovers out there 😉 :P- I challenged my hubby to start growing out a handlebar mustache for Halloween, in good fun for a laugh and started googling how to’s (instead of reading). And look at what I found: *dusts shoulders off* Not too shabby, eh?!? Hahaha
All these new books for my birthday, and I’ve only got two in my Best of Best section, so I’ll just pick both for best of August. They are totally different anyway.
Ghosted by JM Darhower – That’s how you do sweet contemporary. With a ton of realism and heart.
Dark of the Moon by ES Bell – A great start to a fantasy. Yes, there is some lag at the beginning due to world building, but past that, it was really a quick and enjoyable read that made me anxious to get the next one. OH! FYI! It’s free right now.
I’m with Tessa. Dark Side of the Moon and Ghosted. Two phenomenal books!
😀 For the first time, we agree on favorites!
I know!! The world is off balance!
See! Good stories with good writing can bring even two people who read, for the most part, opposite books together!
I was mean to Jean. *grins impishly* But she literally picked it herself.
Haha Tasha. that moustache is something else! I love your flt too. Great first line.
Tasha, I hear you on the whole “scatterbrained/ADD stuff” as same thing happening to me. I wish I knew how to fix it. I think it’s too much on our minds maybe?!
Ok, we need to have a ladies spa trip or reading vacation to a cozy cabin. How fun would that be?
Re: GI AIKEN Dragon Series Books
A MUST read…Awesome series…will have you laughing out loud
