- Disclaim (Deliver Book 3) by Pam Godwin <— LIVE!!!

YAY!!) “For Avery Prescott, senior year was a nightmare of epic proportions, and Cade Hall played the lead villain. After she fled her small town for college in the bright lights of Atlanta, she thought she had escaped the painful memories of her past. She never could have imagined Cade would waltz through the door of the outreach program she presided over…”
- Live Wire (Blue-Eyed Bomb Book 1) by Amber Lynn Natusch <— LIVE!!!
- Rookie Love by Skye Turner <— LIVE!!!
Now back to yesterday’s regularly scheduled program 😉 :
The list is pretty much done!! YAY!! Although I’ll be adding throughout the day when we find surprise super-bargains, or if I get a really juicy-sounding (or heartache sounding, or scary sounding) reader recommendation. 😀 Plus I’m stalking Amazon for one more new release (Whitney G’s “Turbulence” <— BREAKING NEWS UPDATE!!! IT IS LIVE NOW!!!). I can’t wait to see what that one’s all about!
Oh… and what am I reading now? I couldn’t help but finally jump into “The Martian: A Novel” since I one-clicked it on Sunday during that huge sale. And OMG YOU GUYS!!!! It is SOOOOOOO GOOOOOOD!!! I’m freaked right out, because how scary is it to be alone in FREAKING SPACE? ON MARS?!! STUCK. GAH!!!!!
And even though he’s stuck in space (so vast and wide open and never-ending), I feel so claustrophobic reading it. I. Can’t. Breath! Like… how long can he live there? How long can he make his supplies last? And thank goodness he’s a rocket scientist of sorts ’cause he’s sure preparing and planning some pretty awesome things to extend his life even further than what was planned for. But… how long can anyone last, or WANT to last, all alone? ALL. ALONE. FOREVER (unless someone comes back up to save him). Completely 100% alone, with NO way of just going into society whenever he feels the need to connect. ‘Cause you know… Mars. Oh, yes… I know so many of you already saw the movie and are laughing at my incredible shock and awe right now over this, but I’m thrilled I am finally reading it.
But! This list sure has some that have made my TBR list!!! Like The Guardian (he loves her and saves her soul, and because of it HE ends up in purgatory, but then he realizes her soul is back, reincarnated and facing the same cursed fate), The Debt (the ending of that blurb – considering the beginning of that blurb, made my eyes bug out – she thinks he’s a stranger, but he’s always known her? What does that mean!?), Rushing Waters (I LOVE me a good weather-disaster story, and this one sounds intense! A hurricane is coming straight for New York!!! Plus it’s Danielle Steele so you know it will have that profound story-telling, family and romance feel), Stripped Down (she gets drunk and ends up married to her boss, in Vegas!!! LOL! I love me a good comedy romance especially the office kind), El Diablo (he’s a mob kingpin, and she’s under HIS protection, but he wonders who will protect her from HIM). Yikes!!! OH AND!! This one JUST released now… Turbulence (it sounds like a forbidden love affair that has the potential – or does – crash and burn!!) DOUBLE YIKES!!! 😀
Plus I highlighted a bunch more below that sound right up our romance alley, and next week’s preorders are HUGE!!! That list is down there, too!
P.S. Let me know if I’m missing any or if you loved any (from this list or elsewhere).
P.P.S. ➔ Follow me (and Pimmie AND Hobbit – my sweet puppies – yep, I have a new addition!) on Instagram? That would be SO cool!!!

Blair, who wrote the book for her, so she could remain anonymous. (my book review)
Christina: Omg!! I’m book hungover! Wow what a raw amazing book!
Irene: I still think about Arsen. I like the tough emotional reads. Makes me feel.
Mary: You and I have the very same thoughts Maryse there was a couple times I had to put it down too. Lol.
- The Dark Elements by Jennifer L. Armentrout <— INTENSE LOVE TRIANGLE ALERT!!! Tessa & Amy can’t stop talking about this series right now!! 😀
Amy: Tesssssssaaaaaa!!!! How can I be so happy with her choice and yet my heart feels like it’s breaking at the same time?!?!? *sob* Guys, seriously! I don’t think I have EVER felt so torn in a book love triangle! Either I always knew who I wanted the h to end up with and didn’t really care about the other guy, or I really liked both guys but one more than the other yet still didn’t want the lesser-liked one to get hurt, but this…THIS!! I loved BOTH of them and now my heart is swelling and breaking at the same time. How?!? UGH!!
bev: Ha! Amy breaks the triangles heart and then dances in the blood.
Amy: More like the triangle broke MY heart and is dancing in the blood.
Tessa: A series where the triangle was so good, you fell for both men equally. *hands Amy Manny again* I never said the trilogy wouldn’t hurt. I just said it was awesome and you had to read it. So, uh… blankie fort? Martini?
Amy: *grabs Bermuda Triangle martini and gulps it down* Why did she make me love them BOTH?!? And yes…we need a new list with best love triangles, especially PNR ones! …I tried to pick a side. I couldn’t. This was a first for me. *sigh*

Sept 6 for Empire of Storms? *collapses* It will be mine! Wow, and only 9.99 (Which for that type, is pretty cheap). Just requested Unraveled from the library. I love the series but never really find myself re-reading them. Kind of like the In Death series. Love the series, but I never re-read them.
I finally read It Ain’t Me, Nane by Tillie Cole and LOVED it. It had angst and action. At the end, I was doing this. 😀 Now, I don’t want to read anything. A Court of Mist and Fury followed by that just ruined me. (Court was Sooooo much better, but CH).
A few weeks ago, it was asked best song of last year. I drew a blank then, but now I know! Sucker for Pain by Lil Wayne and Imagine Dragons. I could listen to that on repeat for a long while.
Maryse I am simply cackling at your reaction to The Martian.
What a monster list you have today. My head is spinning.
Hi Maryse,
Can you add my upcoming release, Today’s Promises, to the pre-orders. Release date is September 8 and it’s on a special 99 cents price till then. 🙂
Thank you!!
Tessa, I love the Hades Hangman series! You must continue!
Maryse, I also love your reaction to The Martian! I’m more likely to read it since I’m not a big fan of Matt Damon! *ducks*
Also, I just read Furious Rush over the weekend and am now dying for the 2nd book. There is no mention of it anywhere though. I thought maybe with your VIP status you could find out something/anything about the 2nd book and release date! Love ya!
Fabi! I love these Gentry boys! EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM! Loving Edge!
Dang it!! Now I’m going to have to get The Martian! But my husband will want to read it so I have to get the paperback, right? I’m with you Jean, not a MD fan and certainly don’t want his face on my book! I might have to buy 2 books so I can get the free shipping from Powells. Hmmm…
R I was SO going to suggest The Martian for S…
The good news is that if you don’t read/enjoy it, he likely will. 🙂 No wasted money. And why paperback? You don’t give him access to your Kindle account? *evil laugh*
He claims he can’t read on a Kindle. Yet he destroys the bindings on my hard copies! He’s reading my hardcover of The Nightingale now and I’ve threatened him within an inch of his life if comes back destroyed. I’m thinking maybe he’d do ok with paperback! Maybe… :/
Well, the book is so much better than the movie (as they so often are).
“Apprentice in Death” came out early here in Germany and i’m already loving it!usually i read rather fast but i want to enjoy this longer and i’m not sure how to stop myself:-)
LOL I’m LOVING “The Martian” seriously. I love the detail, and I love the desperateness of the situation and how scary it is and how scared I feel but OMG it can be so funny at times ’cause of the main character and his personality and his internal dialogue. He’s really just funny and so intelligent but so funnnnny!!!!
Tee hee!!! GAH I LOVE THIS!!!!! I’m terrified and find myself chuckling all at the same time.
Wow that is so cool Melanie!!! I wonder why? But still, that is very awesome. LOL!!!
Loved The Martian. Book and film both. I’m a Matt Damon fan. What can I say?
Seriously, it’s a really gripping, well-written book. Great read even if sci-fi’s not your usual fare. Glad you’re enjoying it, Maryse.
Love today’s awesome list. So many goodies to explore.
Hey! Now it’s happened to me. My avatar has changed from the one-legged pink guy I’ve always had to a funny blue dude with 4 legs. He’s cute, but what’s goin’ on?
Spooookkkkeeeeeeeee………. :0
LOL! I see the blue dude!!!
The ghost in the machine……….
Maryse I am tickled pink that you are reading (and liking) one of my favs. I don’t think it’s ever happened before. It’s always ME reading YOUR favs.
I’ve also noticed the sneaky avatar switching. Cue the twilight theme.
I see the pink avatar still. It’s gremlins in the blog!
Hey, my avatar changed too! What the hell am I? Haha!
I’m still seeing your usual Jean…
The contemporary section alone has 87?!? Daaaaaaaang!! I’m gonna have fun book shopping. 😀 Thank you Maryse!
I saw The Martian and it was really good, but I can only imagine how much better the book is in conveying how desperate his situation was. All those potatoes… *shakes head* Man, I’d never want to eat another one.
Yeah, I’m seeing some avatar switching going on…even with Jean!!
Wait…so you see her regular and I’m seeing her alter avatar ego, just like Bev was seeing wonky colors the other day.
What the heck? I think the Lillin is running amok around here. Oh that’s right, y’all have to read the Dark Elements series to know what I’m talking about. 😛
Ha!!
See. MichelleS and I told you.
Brown bunny and purple grape.
But no you all were,”what’s bev drinking. “
I started the Martian last year or something. Was not very far in but was enjoying it. Then got sick and couldn’t concentrate and had to return it. I need to read it as I want to watch the movie.
Yep. Avatars are looking different for me too……and its lunchtime here. ….no cocktails have been ingested yet.
The cover of The Protector reminds me of Whitney and Kev in The Bodygaurd. Yes??
Jean I got Furious Rush but wasnt sure if its a CH or a HFN ending?
Im reading The Debt atm and its good but probably not drawing me in as much as others in this series….although I love the premise of broken souls coming together and healing each other.
How sure are we that it is not Maryse changing them?
Maybe she thought, hmm. MichelleS always makes me think of bunny ears, or Amy is not a pink, purple is her color.
Tessa, yours is freaking me out.
*pounces on Amy* Did you finish it? Huh?
I’m seeing normal avatars. Sadly as predicted, 1000+ books and I can’t find anything to read. *sighs*
Tessa read the Martian with me!!! You probably already did, didn’t you?
Lisa, are you talking about Karina Halle’s The Debt? It’s part of a series?
What’s mine? Not my lobster bunny?
Tessa yours is a round olive with claws and bunny ears. LOL! Oh yeah your usual…
My red toast with claws is still there.
R, don’t forget the bunny ears. We are avatar sisters, lobster bunnies!
Not right now we’re not LOL!! What the heck is that thing?
Tessa, your colors are intense. Body is blue, with big red lips. A red rectangle for your eye. Green arms and two horns. Oh, and two little legs.
No.
*shakes head*
It’s not.
Know what’s weird is its changed in all post. I clicked in January of 2015. Amy is a grape and Tessa is that blue thing.
Hehehe Yeah An olive lobster bunny. 🙂 That other one sounds weird! It doesn’t sound silly at all. I see why the scary. 0.0
Robin The Debt is the latest in The Pact, The Offer, The Play and The Lie series which revolves around the McGregors. They are all stand alones but characters are revisited in subsequent books so this provides some background for each book and its main characters.
My favourite was the Play and its novella Winter Wishes. Floved that one.
I’m tempted by The Martian eventually. However, every pnr/ scif thing just doesn’t appeal today. WEIRD, right? I stare at Ricochet, Nothing. Right now I’m looking at possible re-reads to get me out of this funk.
This to me isn’t sci-fi or anything like that. It’s an astronaut stuck on Mars when the crew is forced to evacuate and he’s left behind in the chaos. It’s complete reality… on Mars. LOL!
No creepy monsters, or powers or anything of the sort. Just a story about survival. And this guy is funny as heck!
Thanks Lisa. Do you think it matters if I read them out of order then?
Oh, Tessa I bet it’s your new avatar. Maryse sees your old one. A bunny lobster is going to totally do a buddy read, it’s what a bunny lobster does.
This new one not so much. Oh, Maryse wants do read the Martian, then he hates the Martian.
He looks like he reads horror.
Oooh.
*looks at bev through narrowed eyes. goes to find more wine*
Wait. Are you all on mobile devices? I have my phone open and I see Fabi as a bright green winged thing with a dinosaur tail And and and! I see it on my phone as a bright blue… wow, ugly! Jan is the same as usual. Amy is a wiggly grape with saws for hands. Bev’s looks mean. 8 legs, green heart body with horbs, tentacles, mean eyes and sharp teeth! Lisa is green with the weird brighter green arms, insect legs and a weird month that looks like it’s taped, but broken through the tape.
My computer sees you all as normal.
Then I shall trek to the library and get it. I have eyed it a few times. 🙂
My mobile avatar looks mean and has chicken legs. 🙁
Fabi looks the same to me. I’ve always seen her as a round purple thing, looks like she’s been electrocuted. Is that how you’ve seen her?
Wait am I wearing a white hat?
Either that or an over-sized piece of popcorn.
On the bright side, Tessa, it looks like it’d be a good dancer.
Lol Maryse, sci-fi doesn’t have creepy monsters or powers. That’s fantasy you’re thinking of. The Martian is pretty streamline sci-fi. Generally referred to as hard sci-fi. Of course, I welcome corrections if anyone disagrees with me.
I remember the first sci-fi book I read. I think it was in middle schoo or the very beginning of high schooll. It was called 1984 and I thought the coolest thing was that people didn’t use money anymore. Plastic cards in electronic machines accessed people’s financial accounts. Also, wow, people were always watched.
Fast forward to 2016…we are living it.
See, I always thought I looked like a pirate.
I always considered it a viking Christmas tree. 🙂
No!! No no no no! * stomps foot *
Im a grape!! Not a bright green thing with a taped up mouth (does that mean I rant too much…the tape? Is some avatar trying to tell me something).
Maybe we’ve been hacked! By Martians.
Is it me or are these a avatars getting weirder and uglier??
Robin. I dont think it would matter if they were read out of order. Particularly this recent one because I dont recall her from other books and he had a brief cameo as a cousin to another character in The Play.
My picks would be The Pact and The Play.
Oh Tessa. I hate a book slump when nothing appeals or feels right. I always read a biker book to cheer me up. Works every time. They’re my book catnip this year…but last year it was ice hockey players (God only knows why…Ive never even seen a Ice Hockey game!).
I’ve loved m f sexy series missing foxx and mine forever by Lisa mackay
trilogy
Lisa, you’ve turned back into a grape.
But I’m still some blue amoeba weirdo………
Looking for my next read and failing. After Wolfsong, I started 2 books and aborted…maybe Turbulence? Kinda want another paranormal something though – recs?
Pure by Julianna Baggot!
Dystopian YA.
Oh thanks Lisa I’m looking it up after I get to work, one of my fav genres so might get me out of my slump!
This whole avatar changing thing is super freaky. Sometimes I am seeing the changes you all see and other times I am not. I don’t like it!! *Stomps feet like a brat*
Maryse, make it stop!!!
I’m getting ready to dive in to Author Anonymous…wish me luck!!
Btw…How can you guys NOT be a fan of Matt Damon???? I have been in love with him since Good Will Hunting!! *swoon* He was awesome in The Martian.
You guys, I wonder if the avatar thing changes depending on if you post from your mobile or from your desktop… maybe there’s a different one assigned to each of us… depending on what platform we’re on?
Lisa, with regard to Furious Rush, I guess it was a HFN ending but I have anxiety just thinking about the 2nd book!
Michelle, welcome to my world. Nothing has measured up since Wolfsong. 🙁
Wow, so many books on this list Maryse!!! What to choose…. 🙂
Jean, I really want to read Furious Rush, BUT nope, going to wait until complete, especially since there is no mention of when the next book will be released!
Saw the movie, The Martian, didn’t read the book, but can imagine how much more detail there was about his desperation to get home.
Went into re-read mode. I’m re-reading Poison Princess since I still have yet to read Arcana Rising. Also after Day Zero, I want a better understanding of that day.
Lisa, looked up Pure and want to read it for sure but a little too pricey – put it on my wishlist so I can see when the price drops.
Fabi, not fun seriously andddd I’m mad because the next book is not focusing on Ox and Joe. I’m seriously fed up with series that have a book for every ‘new’ couple *grumbles*
Tessa, I want to read Arcana Rising, but once again, I forget a lot once the new book is released. I really really do not want to go back and reread!
Maybe re-read the last few pages? I’m sure it’ll come back quickly for you. I didn’t need to re-read this, but I just loved Day Zero and wanted to go back after knowing what happens next. I did the same thing with Harry Potter. See the clues after things happened.
No I don’t think it’s that, Maryse, cos I pretty much always use the same platform, my laptop.
Michelle and Fabi I got out of my post-Wolfsong book blues by going to different genres and trying new (to me) authors. I have been gobbling up Laura Florand’s sweet, sexy, romantic CRs. I’ve also enjoyed a few Jo Goodman historical Westerns. Not earth-shattering, but well-written with a nice dollop of romance thrown in.
And, like most others I suppose, my old faithful go-to for a book slump is rereads.
Thanks Jan. I did a little of that too. I helped somewhat. I can’t help but wish for another great one. Those are few and far between I’m afraid.
Maryse…sometimes the avatars swap mid way through a scan of updates!! And now my desk top is putting all of the email alerts to updates in the Junk file with a McAfee warning that theyre not safe to open. I was kidding about a virus…..but now Im not so sure.
Hi Lisa!
This is the first I’ve heard of something like that… I know the blog doesn’t have a virus nor do the emails regarding new comment alerts. Perhaps it’s the sheer number of them that you receive from one address (the blog) that has your McAfee on alert?
I’ll send your comment to tech support, and see if I can find out more.
Has anyone read El Diablo yet? What the heck is going on with this book?? It doesn’t look like anything I’d ever jump on, but the reviews!! People are going crazy! Maryse, I vote you read this next and let me know if it’s a conspiracy.
On it, R!!! 😀
Yeah Fabi. Sadly, you’re right. The truly great reads don’t pop up that often.
It’s funny how we associate the avatar with the person.
I wasn’t sure at first if it was our Amy & Michelle.
So apparently I never bought Endless Knight. I got it from the library and never bought it? Geesh. So tomorrow library and on payday, I’m buying a book I’ve read.
Hey, why do some authors rate their own books on GR?
Am I the only one who finds that odd?
Bev your avatar now is so sweet. A pale green heart with lots of little legs, devil horns, and a strange red round mouth. Awwww, shucks.
And yeah, I don’t think it’s very good form, but I guess some authors just want as many 5 star ratings as they can, to bring their books to people’s notice. But it seems a tad pathetic. If your book is good, word will get around, even if it takes a little while, and then people will buy it. If it’s not good, doesn’t matter how many five star ratings, really. It won’t last once people realise.
Maryse have you any inside info on when Lauren Gilley’s new Dartmoor book, Loverboy, is being released? It’s supposedly this week, but there is nothing on amazon yet…… It sounds pretty angsty, but I love this series and can’t wait for this new one. I will grin and bear the pain……..
Oooooh Jan! I will look into this!! 😀
Hi Maryse
have you seen MF, Missing Foxx and Mine Forever romance trilogy by new British author Lisa Mackay yet. Has a few 5 star reviews.

Ok, what’s going on??? I had a sample of Author Anonymous on my nook, I read sample and all excited to DL with my ebook settlement credit and it gives me an error message. I didn’t think much of it and went back to try later and now book is totally gone from B & N?? What the heck???
Weird right??

NEW RELEASE – Captive Prince short story
I’m thrilled to announce that there will be four Captive Prince short stories released in the coming months, and the first is now available for PRE-ORDER!
Green but for a Season
Hey ladies! I was too busy on the spoiler thread and life in general. In case anyone is interested I started working from home and finally, YES FINALLY (never thought I’d utter those words) will be going back to work on the 19th. Still have to deal with my back but hip is so much better, I believe I’ll live!
How is everyone? What to read next? Turbulence is looking quite appealing????
Hey everyone! I haven’t been here in a while- school started a couple weeks ago and it’s been hectic and crazy around here adjusting to the schedule again. And also I’ve had to avoid this blog like a recovering addict (hehe ;)) so that I could focus on tackling my enormous list of loans! I have like 8 that all came in at once from the online library and booklending that I’ve been waiting months for. I know I’ll never finish them all, but I can sure try to tackle a few! I’ve got Lilac Girls, Shadow Kiss, Dead of Winter, Eligable, Here’s to Us, The Anatomical Shape of a Heart, Truly Madly Guilty (amazing btw, ‘tosses handful of peanuts’) and Broken Prince. So anyway Happy September 1st!! I’ve gotten my Pumpkin Spice Latte to celebrate. And also pumpkin cookies and muffins, and harvest apple cookies. 🙂 I’m loving all the new monsters, but it’s also confusing me a bit. And Empire of Storms is coming on the 6th already?!! I can’t wait, I seriously considered buying the Throne of Glass coloring book bc it looks so awesome! I’ve had The Martian on my list for a while, before the movie came out, but sadly I couldn’t wait and watched the darn movie first. Which was a good movie really but it doesn’t matter for I did or didn’t like it, once I watch a movie I can’t seem to read the book after. 🙁 Also wanted to let you guys know The Passage by Justin Cronin is on sale for 1.99 today. (usually like 11.99) I think Jan rec’d it, it’s been on my tbr a while too, one clicking!
P.S.- Not book related, I know some of you ladies love to cook. I’m making spaghetti squash lasagna boats for supper tonight. I’ve only made speg squash once in the crockpot with meatballs n sauce but I’m going for oven tonight. I’ve been pintresting and Internet searching for a while now for recipes and have come to the general conclusion on how I’ll fill them. But I’ve read conflicting things on the best way to cook them. In the oven cut side up on 350 for like 40 min. On cut side down with some olive oil and salt and pepper. Then I’ll take them out and scoop out the squash, layer with the meat sauce and cheese, pop back in to melt the cheeses. And voila! But should I put them in cut side up or down? Has anyone done these before? 🙂
Tasha, I do spaghetti squash fairly often. I don’t even cut it in half. I poke the outside in several places with a paring knife and stick the whole thing in the oven on a baking sheet (or foil) for an hour at 350 degrees. Then, split it and taste it to make sure it’s cooked enough for you, and scoop out with a fork!
Seriously? I never even considered throwing it in whole! This sounds so much easier as I had my husband cut the last one and was planning on using him again this time around. I guess I may need him to pierce it though. Do you pierce it very deep? And do you think the outside will still be hard enough to use as boats? Thanks!
OMG OMG OMG GUESS WHAT’S LIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LAUREN GILLEY’S LOVERBOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
https://www.amazon.com/Loverboy-Dartmoor-Book-Lauren-Gilley-ebook/dp/B01LD3HFBO/ref=asap_bc?ie=UTF8
*squeeeeeee* ELA!!!! Thank you!!!
Tasha, if you use a knife as opposed to a fork, it will be easy to pierce. Just do it enough to break through the shell, it doesn’t take much. For acorn squash, I split it, but not spaghetti. Never used it as a boat though! Take pics!

This is what I truly am…
Endless Knight by Kresley Cole
The library already had Unraveled so I got that today, but I want to read all of the Arcana Chronicles first
Tessa, which Unraveled? Who’s the author?
Unraveled (Elemental Assassin Book 19) by Jennifer Estep It’s at the top of the paranormal section. I love the Elemental Assassin series. It’s starting to go a little weird with this last story-line arc, but I’m still okay with it.
Is anyone else reading The Debt? I think I’m going to jump on it before I see too many reviews. I still have The Little Paris Bookshop and about 26 pages of Owen Meany left, but I need romance something fierce. I’ll be without internet for 4 whole days starting tomorrow so I’m on a downloading frenzy! Maryse, how’s El Diablo going?
FLT “There’s nothing so infuriating as having to pass up a tall pint of beer on a blinding hot summer day.” (no sh#t)–The Debt, Karina Halle
I haven’t started it yet R. I’m finishing up The Martian so I can review it (and that, of course, I LOVE).
OMG LOL!!!!! :P!!!!! This is one of the funniest (and yet NOT comedy) books I’ve ever read. GAH I LOVE THE MARTIAN. And Mark. He’s amazing. LOL!!! And this is a quote that had me cackling out loud, scared my minpins, and it’s a case of “y’all had to be there” to get it. It’s all about context, but OMG. Baaaaahahahahahah!!!
——————
“Conclusion: I don’t need the water reclaimer at all. I’ll drink as needed and dump my waste outdoors. Yeah, that’s right, Mars, I’m gonna piss and shit on you. That’s what you get for trying to kill me all the time.
There. I saved myself 3.6 pirate-ninjas.”
——————
*sigh* I am crushing on “Mark”. How could you not? Intelligent and funny and witty and clever, and so positive and upbeat, no matter what is happening to him. *sigh* *swooooooooooooon*
WHAAAAAT. LOVERBOY!!!!! Clickity clicklty click click click. Oh. Sweet Tango is going to break our ever loving hearts.
Annnnd. If you havent read The Passage yet puleeeeease grab it at $1.99. The hubby is reading the final book at the moment and cannot put it down. And he is NOT a reader….well not like us anyway.
Robin Im reading The Debt. Almost done. Interested to know what you think.
Lisa, I knew you were but that you like The Play better?? I think that’s what you said. I haven’t read anything by her so I don’t want to start with “the best” like I did for Renee Carlino LOL. I’ll let you know as soon as I get back from the internet-less wilderness.
For those of you who’ve read Full Tilt, Emma Scott is nominated in Contemporary, New Adult, and Romance categories for the Summer Indie Book Awards. Link here: https://us10.campaign-archive1.com/?u=72fc031b1b7e97c79d53f8ca5&id=598941938f
Loverboy is here! Hooray!! It does have a trigger warning at the beginning, so…… Eeeeek!!!! There’s gonna be some full on scary stuff. But I love this series and I’m gonna do it. I’m starting it today.
Here is the first line: The craving.
LOL. Interesting first line.
I fly to London for my holiday tomorrow. If I read it on the plane, I hope the person sitting beside me doesn’t try to read over my shoulder LOL. Maybe on the plane I’ll read something a bit ‘safer’ 😉
And yeah, Maryse, I share your crush on Mark. He’s a doll, and funny to boot.
Fabi, I wonder what the captive prince short stories will be like? I loved the books, but I’m not generally a short story fan. Hmmmmmm *scratches chin meditatively*
I saw C S Pacat on a talk show about books here in Australia a while ago. She seemed nice. She’s an Aussie, too 😀
Falling Into Infinity by Layne Harper is free.
Ok so the final verdict is that is was delicious! I decided to cut the squash and bake face down and it turned out great! I realized piercing the skin for a boat would leave me with a mess. Though I’m definitely going to try your way next time R. Renee because it sounds so much easier and I plan on trying many more simple recipes with lots of squash this fall! It was a hit with even my pickiest eater, he had no idea he was even eating a vegetable, lol. I did take a picture, but I have no idea how to link it from my phone. So I checked out the Internet and this photo is really similar. https://americanheritagecooking.com/2014/03/twice-baked-spaghetti-squash/
Tasha, that looks amazing!! I’ll have to try it. Yeah, I wasn’t thinking about the holes!! Oops! For the most part, I just treat mine like spaghetti, b7t if you find some awesome recipes, let me know!!
Tessa, I loved the Infinity series. A great sports romance.
FLT:
“How many times will you burn me?” Turbulence by Whitney Gracia Williams. so far so good!

‘The craving. It had transcended that small voice in the back of his head, grown beyond the itch, the pull. ‘
Loverboy. Lauren Gilley.
awww Maryse, Matt is a hilarious, lovable genius. Talk about rooting for the underdog. Go Matt!
Jan, I don’t care much for short stories or novellas either. I prefer the longer books with detailed world building and in depth characters.
Tessa, thank you for the heads up on the freebie.
Tessa, all the AJ Aalto novellas are free today. After I finish Turbulence, I’m going back to that series.

Dearest Reader, I was compelled to tell this story, as most writers are, because it haunted me. – Author Anonymous by E.K. Blair
Yes Lisa. I’ve started it too. Pretty gripping so far 🙂
Cheryl, it’s a sports romance? Awesome. That must be why it was in my wishlist. 🙂 You’re welcome Fabi. Michelle, YES! I got them all now! MUAHAHAHA *grins* Thank you.
Ok. Tasha has two different ones up there and I think both are different than her original.
Grey and Ela too.
Run R, Cheryl, and Fabi. Run. Me too.
Tasha your latest avatar is cute and dorky LOL. But Bev, your little heart with the oh-so-scary cavern of a mouth is still the cutest.
