Kandace: I am blaming you all for my lack of sleep. I fell down the rabbit hole of the Mafia and his Angel. I’m half way through book 3. When I first started I wasn’t sure but the more I kept reading the more consumed I became with their story. My kids are camping with my parents. I was suppose to organize the house while they were gone instead my wrist hurts from holding my kindle for endless hours and I haven’t cleaned anything. My husband keeps giving me *SIDE EYES*. I may have to lock myself in the bathroom so I can finish without his glaring looks at me. *sigh*. Thanks for the rec, girls!
Sunshine and the Stalker by Dani René and K. Webster <— K. WEBSTER STALKER ALERT!!!! Tessa found one that she’s unsure she wants to read so who wants to guinea pig this one? I think it’ll be me. 😉 😛
Tessa: Alright, I found a blurb that sounded so me I really wanted to read it. A really awkward woman and a stalker guy. Except, he’s in his 40s and she’s 18. WHYYYYYY? Needless to say, I stopped after only two chapters when I found out their age. However, it did come recommended so if anyone is not like me with issues, then try it out. Erm, so the book had an actual title. *blushes* Sunshine and the Stalker by Dani René and K. Webster.
Amy: Tessa…I don’t have those type of issues and even *I* don’t think I could read that one. A barely-legal teenager and a grown-a$$ man stalking her? *shakes head*
Maryse: For me it’s not the age so much that worries me, since I love crazy stalker-books (and we know stalkers have no “reasoning” and are crazy-scary, so it would be fair to assume in this case too). I’m tempted because I love reading and exploring “how they tick” … and the scary stuff that comes with it.

Tessa: Oh, FYI to anyone who likes emotional YA with time travel-ish. I finished my TBR challenge If I Wake by Nikki Moyes last night and OMG, it’s everything I’m usually looking for in a book. Its concept was different and unique, my heart ACHED a lot, and it all felt real. Seriously, though, there were major tears at one point. Big heads up on that.

I haven’t read since All Your Perfects, no time. I did just watch Laggies on Netflix- good movie! And I was skimming to see what else is new (or not new, I don’t watch much), but I saw Meteor Garden and thought of you, Bev. Have you seen it?
Bev, I found out about ASMR about a year ago from my sister-in-law. She was seeing who it affected. Some people aren’t and some are, and some are more affected than others. It can be relaxing or arousing, depending on the person. *shrugs* My brother and I are both affected. She and my niece weren’t. lol It creeped my niece out.
I had I am Grey on my KU to get as soon as it comes out since it was announced. I get everything by Jane Washington. She usually does PNR, but the blurb… I’m honestly not sure what type of book it is.
So… tomorrow we announce the best of July and I have to start figuring that out now. I have 8 in my Best of Best. The most EVER. I’ve had months of one or none, and some of two or three… but 8? I was SOOOO lucky this month! 🙂

A Wolf Apart by Maria Vale- I loved the first book. The story was told in a way not usual for a wolf book. It was more real.
I am Grey- this sounds like something happened to the h and she was in a hospital or some sort to recover. She gets out and meets the H, who may be her doctor? Idk, maybe I’m projecting to much, but I’m going to read it and find out!
Roughing the Kicker- a woman kicker in the NFL? How fun is that, plus the quarterback is after you? This could be a fun romp! And naughty cuz it’s Eden Butler!
Kate Stewart’s Someone Else’s Ocean- this sounds like an angsty tearjerker. Have to save that for when I’m in that mood.

Tasha, I haven’t but I want to. I don’t have Netflix….though I guess I could look in other places for it. It is a new Chinese remake of Boys Over Flowers. I have watched that (the Korean one) I marathoner it. Could. Not. Stop. It’s kinda crazy and rambling And tons of plot holes. And not really that good. I’m not sure I liked it. Lol. But want to try the remakes which there are a few of. Lol.
Tessa that is interesting. Most haven’t had too much of an effect. I like some of the taps and scratches.
Oh now it’s making me think of Stan with the rain and pencil. Ha. Not the most relaxing of songs.
So I watched this like 50 second clip of Taemin (kpop) making up a dance as a song plays which led me to listening to the song (Scottish singer) this am. I love that Korea lead me to Scotland. Especially since im so slow with picking up popular songs. Watch the dance he is beautiful and I wish I could just turn on a song and dance like that.

I should of stuck to my tbr. I tried that Wake up Call book. I liked the premise. The start was good but …. By like the second call they are having phone sex and feeling all the feels for each other and then by like 50% it felt like the main conflict was absolved so …..DNF. Back to my 2 book the.

Bummer-it looks like I missed out on My Oxford Year. I do a lot of audio books and Julia Whelen is one of my favorite narrators. I may have to hear some feedback and just to the audio routes-I sure she does a great narration of her own book.

Tummy twisting good. Book 1 ok, but this is good. Recommended by Paula.
But I didn’t like Wolfsong, read halfway and gave up. Just wasn’t for me.

Alright, everyone! Best of July time.
I was torn. But this one stood out amongst the 8.
The Morning Star by Debra Dunbar was the end of The Imp series, but it ended so perfectly, and I actually cried because the series is over. Yes, I loved it that much. It probably had the most heart of the whole series and there were some truly touching moments in the midst of all the drama and action. The end was probably the best of the series.

Tessa, isn’t it awful when a series you love so much comes to an end? I cried so hard at the end of Addicted/Calloway Sisters series because it was over AND I felt like I had been through so much with the characters. *wipes away tear*
Exactly. It’s the tenth book and it just hurt to know that I couldn’t be in their heads anymore. She’s gonna write a few “in their world” books but it isn’t the same as the central characters. I might end up that devastated after Magic Breaks for the same reason. I don’t want the series to ever end.
I DNF’d I Am Grey. *sighs* I LOVE her other books, but this just didn’t work for me. I have read all her other books, but this one was just boring. 🙁 Oh well.

July fave for me was All Your Perfects by CoHo. But I also loved Rainy Day Friends by Jill Shalvis and Bountiful by Sarina Bowen.
Ok, I’ve never heard of these books before. Sounds kind of…um..odd, lol.

OK best of July time. My fav out of the new books was Simple Faith by Susan Fanetti. I liked it but only gave it three and a half to four stars. Didn’t read any new 4 or 5 stars this month 🙁
If we’re counting rereads, I did a few. Best one was a traditional HR – Arabella by Georgette Heyer. Also enjoyed rereading Nia Forrester’s The Fall.
Good morning!! I’m back to work for our summer program and acting as chauffeur for my daughter’s Forensics program. Need to catch up on comments. Started Roughing the Kicker. The premise reminds me of another book I read where the h was a college football kicker. Can’t think of the name right now…

Ha ha Nay. Made me laugh too. I’m reading mixed reviews and feel a bit nervous :/ but I will read it and decide for myself. Just haven’t gotten to it yet.
