I have Gail McHugh’s latest (second) “Pulse” teaser and- I have a release date!!!! Pulse is expected to be released —> August 10th 2013) and
- Wait ’til you guys read this one… y’all are gonna freak right out!!!! The author likes to play wicked games, I see.
And now we gotta stress for months! GAH!!!!! It’s short and sweet. Er…. short and… not so sweet. 😉
(Warning… do not read the teaser below unless you’ve first read book #1 “Collide (Volume 1)” and then —> the first teaser for her upcoming “Pulse”).
“Wait,” she purred, trying to catch her breath. She towed her neck back and stared into his eyes. “What are you doing? Are you going to just f&ck me right out here?”
With a smug grin, Gavin backed away, leaving her panting body lax against the wall. “Not as fun as you originally appeared, I see,” he muttered, fishing his keys from his pocket. He slid them into the door and unlocked it, holding it open as he waited for Jessica to adjust her clothing.
Sighing, she picked her clutch up from off the ground.
As she walked past him she rolled her eyes. Dropping the clutch onto an antique, claw-footed table in the foyer, Jessica swept her gaze across his expansive beachfront home.
“Nice place.” She turned and faced him, her smile showing she was impressed. “So now, where were we?”
“You were about to strip for me.” Gavin tossed his keys onto the table and started unbuttoning his shirt. After slipping it off, he leaned against the doorjamb of the kitchen and crossed his arms as he watched her undress.
Jessica peeled the last piece of clothing from her body and moved toward Gavin. She took his face in both her hands and pulled him into her mouth. It was then that Gavin shoved Emily back into his aching heart’s closet, locked the door, and threw away the key. As he unbuckled his belt, one clear thought attacked his mind.
Emily would be proud that he was taking a ‘void killer’ to bed tonight.

Just read this teaser less that a minute ago and I’m not sure yet how I feel about this scene. I will have to process this for a while. Having said that, I’m a bit confused about where exactly Gavin is heading.

Not surprised. I knew when I finished Collide Gavin would be hard to get. I am sad that I was right. The first teaser was equally as frustrating as this one. That said, I was heart broken over Gavin in Collide. I wanted to brain Emily.

OMG one of my favorite book boyfriend is not with Emily at start of the next book… This is not a surprise , since Emily couldn’t make a decision on the hottest guy in her life. So my guess is the the chase is now Emily after Gavin for book 2… Love it !!!!

I have to say I have a Love and Hate “thing” with Collide. There were parts that like you said Maryse I almost threw my Kindle away. I almost, ALMOST didn’t finish it….but Gavin! Gavin was everything, and I cant wait for Pulse!! Great teaser!

Jesus!!!I have been reading some other books trying not to think about Gavin. But, I can’t help. I’m always comparing, and dreaming about him. And now, he has disappointed me. Please, author make sure that this new book come (as sooner than august) with many pages as possible, with a magnific story with true love will win. And, Gavin stop right now! OMG! I love it. Im so glad Gavin isnt taking Emily back so easy. She played too many games in Collide and now she should have to fight for him now. So excited for Pulse to finally be done but I hate that we have to wait until August. I bought Collide a week after it was released and now have to wait 7 months for Pulse. That is just cruel lol!

Wow everyone is so upset with Gavin, but just remember Emily did play games with him knowing that she should have left Dillon the moment she met Gavin. Gail it would be nice to have the book a bit sooner than August, however I’m sure Emily and Gavin will prevail in the end and I appreciate the way you have sucked us all into this relationship. Clearly the majority of readers are team Gavin, but don’t be so hard on Emily she did feel a sice of obligation to Dillon for all of his support and sometimes gratitude can be blinding. She eventually saw Dillon’s true colors and realized Gavin is the person shc is suppose to be with, so I’m not opposed to her having to prove herself to him just think how fun that storyline will be to read especially the continuous make-up sex. 🙂
