Okay here’s a book title question that has me stumped but sort of rings a bell. Maybe one of you know which book she’s referring to? And eeeeeep! (that’s quite the subject matter)…
Nanette asks:
“I saw a review not to long ago either on Goodreads or Amazon about the story of an older guy who becomes guardian to a younger girl after she lost her parents/family. He feels an attraction towards her but tries to resist it.
I can’t recall if she does something about it..but that’s more or less the gist of it. Help would be appreciated.”
Anyone? 😀

- Lord of Ice (The Knight Miscellany) by Gaelen Foley
- Scarred Love by M.S. Brannon
Resisting her by Kendall Ryan
A Different Blue?
I would also say The Lonely by Tara Brown. I can’t wait to read The Lost Boy it’s on my TBR but I got a few others first.
The Rocker That Holds Me by Terri Anne Browning?
Scarred love by m.s Brannon?
I doubt this is the one mentioned since it didn’t say historical romance, but if you are in the market for this storyline, there’s Lord of Ice by Gaelen Foley. An oldie but goodie 🙂
Thanks Skye. I do like ’em… risqué… maybe ’cause it’s historical (different rules back then), I won’t feel so weird. 😉
When I read this yesterday my first thought was Resisting Her. However I happened upon a book on my local ebook library this morning that seems to fit the bill. Return to Santa Flores by Iris Johansen. Can’t vouch for it as I just checked it out this morning, but the synopsis definitely sounds right.
hmmmm…I have not read the other ones but just started reading Fallen (Guardian Trilogy book 1) seems to fit what you are asking although I guess that depends on what you mean by “older” guy 🙂 Good Luck
An oldie but goodie…also historical, not my typical go-to genre:
Julia Templeton, Dangerous Desires
Synopsis:
Rochford Manor, outside London, 1810:
When her dying father entrusts her to the care of Dominic Santrell, one of London’s most infamous rakes, Arlie Whitman is thrust into a world of elegance and privilege she had never imagined. But her initiation into society is nowhere near as frightening as the powerful desire she feels for Dominic himself. The dark and dashing earl claims that she needs a husband, but Arlie knows she needs only Dominic.
Dominic had vowed never to marry. In his experience, love was, at best, an evening’s pleasure. Yet the parade of young men courting his ward is unbearable. Arlie’s innocent beauty haunts his dreams. The passion they share cannot be denied…
But desire can be dangerous.
