Reader Question… Solved! The book where people have to take cover and get somewhere safe and he has a stockpile so she goes with him…

Sue needs our book help! This one sounds post apocalyptic or the potential to become that, and I LOVE THOSE!! Especially when they stay in the realm of reality (you know… zombie-less). 😉

She asks:

Maryse,

Help! I read a book about six or seven years ago and I can’t remember it. Gah!!

The H/h were college kids (but I don’t remember their relation to each other.) Something is happening in the world that requires people to take cover and get somewhere safe. The H heads home, because his family has a stockpile of sorts.

Somehow the h ends up going with him.

I think her father was nearby and she had to check on him. He may have agoraphobia , but I’m not sure. In any case, they make it to the H’s house where the journey just begins.

Anybody, can you help?

Niki: Ooooh, this sounds super familiar, I’m almost positive I’ve read this! I think it was a series, or at least 2 books. Can’t remember the title- I’ll check my kindle to see if I can find it!

Niki: Okay, it took some digging, but I think I found it! Is it the “Promise Me” series by Paige Weaver?

Lisa: This sounds like Promise me darkness by Paige Weaver.
