<— POST-APOCALYPTIC/DYSTOPIAN ROMANCE TRILOGY BLURB JOLT ALERT!! It sounds gritty, raw and AMAZING (andΒ kind of scary but in an exciting way)!! And guess what? The trilogy conclusion goes live in less than a week!! π I’m gonna read this. This is right up my alley!!! P.S. The trilogy is in KU too!! *happy dance*
Nay: Now I just need to figure out what I want to read. Iβm thinking about starting Praying for Rain, the first book in the new dystopian trilogy (also titled Praying for Rain) by BB Easton, one of my favorite authors who knocked my socks off with the 44 Chapters series.
Layne: Iβm halfway through an ARC of the last book now & Iβm really in awe of this series. Itβs so gritty and original and has BBβs signature style all over it.
Lindsay: This series Is so so good, itβs the first apocalyptic story Iβve read and I adored it.π€
Jennifer: Ahh, this series is absolutely incredible! I read the final one this week and it was the best way to end a phenomenal series! I love love this series so much!!!
Katy: I absolutely loved this trilogy! BB Easton almost killed me. Her writing is so crisp and clear it feels like youβre right there. And her plots are so thick and twisty.π This is definitely my favorite dystopian/apocalyptic read.
Brittany: Read this series. Loved this series. Depressed as hell that itβs over. Iβve cried to BB numerous times now because I miss Wes and Rain. So happy people are about to read the conclusion in their story (and then we can all be sad together that itβs over!). …Donβt think anything can compare to my Wes and Rain π₯Ίπ₯Ίπ₯Ίπ₯Ί (Obviously needing emotional support)
Amanda: I read the first two books this week and am dying to read the third on Jan 30th!! I read them through kindle unlimited. My first Bb Easton books and Iβm hooked!!
About book #1:
βNone of this matters, and weβre all going to die.β
With only three days left until the predicted apocalypse, the small town of Franklin Springs, Georgia, has become a wasteland of abandoned cars, abandoned homes, abandoned businesses, and abandoned people. People like Rainbow Williams.
Rain isnβt afraid of dying. In fact, sheβs looking forward to it. If she can just outrun her pain until April 23, sheβll never have to feel it at all.
“Supplies. Shelter. Self-defense.”
Wes Parker has survived every horrible thing this life has thrown at him with nothing more than his resourcefulness and disarming good looks. Why should the end of the world be any different? All he needs are some basic supplies, shelter, and a sucker willing to help him out, which is exactly what he finds when he returns to his hometown of Franklin Springs.
As society crumbles, dangers mount, and secrets refuse to stay buried, two lost souls are thrust together in a twist of fateβone who will do anything to survive and one who canβt wait to die.
Perhaps, together, they can learn how to live.
Before their time runs out.

- Fighting for Rain (The Rain Trilogy Book 2)

Excerpt from Fighting for Rain, Book 2 in The Rain Trilogy
βDid I pass?β Rain asks as I stop at the bottom of the tree house ladder to give her a hand up.
βI think Iβm the one who passed.β I swat her on the ass as she heads up and chuckle when she yelps in surprise. βI know your song.β
βOh, really?β
When I climb in behind her, Rain is sitting, facing me with her arms folded over her chest.
For a guy who has nothing to prove, I f*cking love proving myself to this girl.
I sit with my back against the plywood wall and strum something softer and slower and definitely sadder than anything Iβve played for her before. Iβm afraid it might be too much, considering how far sheβs come today, but f*ck it. Itβs the truth, and right now, the truthβand this guitarβis all I got.
βI think you might be a Paramore girl.β
The simple, soulful melody is synchronized with every beat of my own bleeding heart as I open my mouth and sing the first line.
About a girl watching her daddy cry.
Rain clutches the blanket to her chest and listens as I tell her the story of a woman whoβs afraid to get hurt after watching her parents break each otherβs hearts. She tries to protect herself. She tries to avoid the pain of being left. But when she finally falls in love, she realizes that itβs worth the risk.
I hope sheβs f*cking right.
I canβt really see Rainβs expression in the dark, but as I let the final note fade out, I know Iβm going to find tears before I even reach for her face.
βHow did you do that?β She sniffles, and when she leans into my touch, I know I got her.
I shrug. βWhen youβre in the system, you get good at figuring people out.β
She inhales deeply and sighs. βSo, whatβs the name of my new favorite song?β
I place the guitar in the corner and crawl over to her. Laying her down, I take the wadded-up blanket out of her arms and set it behind her head like a pillow. ββThe Only Exception.ββ
Gazing down at her, I know now that thatβs exactly what she is for me. The only exception to all of my rules.
No getting attached.
Leave before you get left.
Supplies. Shelter. Self-defense.
Survival above all else.
Now, theyβve all been crossed out with a giant X, and next to them, in murderous block letters, are the words Protect Rainbow Williams. Thatβs all I f*cking care about now. Keeping her safe. Keeping herβperiod.
βWes?β she asks, her voice small and shaky as she slides her fingers into my hair and pushes it away from my face. βWill you still be here when I wake up?β
Bracing myself on my forearms, I lower myself onto her soft, warm body and press my lips to hers. Blood explodes through my veins on contact, but I donβt move. I hold that kiss until I feel her relax beneath me. Until I know sheβll believe me when I finally promise, βForever.β
Satisfied, Rain pulls my face back down to hers and kisses me like forever might actually exist. Slowly. Sweetly. Without the ticking clock of April 23 looming over our heads. Without blood on our hands or ash in our hair. Without wonder or worry about how it will end. Because we started at the f*cking end.
Now, we get to begin.

BB Easton lives in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia, with her long-suffering husband, Ken, and two adorable children. She recently quit her job as a school psychologist to write books about her punk rock past and deviant sexual history full-time. Ken is suuuper excited about that.
Praying for Rain is BB’s first full-length work of fiction. The idea, fittingly, came to her in a dream.Β

OMG. This is totally up my alley. I hadn’t even heard about this series so thank you for bringing it to my attention. My favorite post apocalyptic book would be The Stand. Post Apocalyptic romance is an under done but I also like Thicker Than Blood and Angelfall.
This series Is so so good, it’s the first apocalyptic story I’ve read and I adored it.π€
I have loved this series so far! I can’t wait to read the rest (or listen)!!!

I so love BB Easton π thank you for the AWESOME opportunity
Iβve only read Praying for Rain so far and itβs truly amazing. I never thought I would enjoy this type of book but letβs be honest, Iβll read anything BB writes.
Love this series so far this is my first apocalyptic series I have read and I have been loving it.
Iβve only read Praying for Rain. Love it!! If I had to chose a post apocalyptic book/series, I think Iβd choose The Born series by Tara Brown.
I loved reading the trilogy. All of them were amazing but the second book in the series was by far the best. Fighting for Rain was dealing with the aftermath of post April 23rd. Hmm… I don’t know if I have a favorite dystopian book. I know I love this one. I will definitely start reading a few others. I know Thicker than Blood by Claire Riley has been on my to read list. Thank you so much the giveaway opportunity. =)
I read book 1 of this trilogy and loved it! As soon as I can Iβll try to get the remaining two ebooks because first one was AMAZING! Ty for the chance β₯οΈ
I absolutely loved this trilogy! BB Easton almost killed me. Her writing is so crisp and clear it feels like you’re right there. And her plots are so thick and twisty.π This is definitely my favorite dystopian/apocalyptic read.
I loved Praying for Rain!! Such a great book! Waiting for Dying for Rain so I can binge read! Thank you so much for this awesome chance!!
I absolutely loved this series! It actually is the first and only post apocalypse series I have read!
Absolutely LOVED Praying for Rain! Can’t wait to dive into the next 2 books β€ BB Easton’s writing is so vivid, exciting, and full of emotion. She sweeps me away into her stories with every one of her books. This was my first post-apocalyptic read, excited for the rest of the trilogy!
This series is the best and my first apocalyptic read loved it can’t wait for the last one xx
Loving this series so much! Iβve read a couple post-apocalyptic novels but nothing before this thatβs ever really stood out! Canβt wait for Dying for Rain!!!
I enjoyed reading Dry by Neal Shusterman, The Fifth Wave by Rick Yancey, Hatchet by Gary Paulsen and The Hunger Games Series by Suzanne Collins.
Read this series. Loved this series. Depressed as hell that itβs over. Iβve cried to BB numerous times now because I miss Wes and Rain. So happy people are about to read the conclusion in their story (and then we can all be sad together that itβs over!). Other than this series Iβve never read a post apocalypse book type. Donβt think anything can compare to my Wes and Rain π₯Ίπ₯Ίπ₯Ίπ₯Ί

I loved Praying For Rain. Waiting for book three to go all in. Thanks for the chance at winning something signed by BB. I really liked the Monument 14 books by Emmy Laybourne.
This has been my absolute favorite by far. I read a lot of YA aside from my Romance babes and this trilogy still blew it out of the water!
I cant wait until the last book is out so I can devour this series! BB Easton is one of my favorite authors! And dystopian romance, when done right, is my absolute favorite genre. As for the series I love the most, I have to say Sarah Lyons Flemming’s two series, Until The End of the World, and The City Series. Also, Tracey Ward’s Quarantined and Writing On The Wall Series. These authors pull you into their worlds, and BB Easton did that without killing off the rest of the world in her other books, so I’m literally counting the hours until I can jump into this new series.
Whoo hoo!! I canβt wait to read this! (I have to wait for all books out because Iβm too forgetful) Iβm obsessed with dystopians. I couldnβt possibly pick a favorite!
Prior to this trilogy, my fave was The Hunger Games. I devoured those books in middle school. But then BB went and outdid everything with Rain & Wes. They have my heart. Thank you for the chance!
Honestly, this was my first post-apocalyptic book and I loved it! Iβve only read the first book so far. Iβm dying to read the next two books! I found BB Easton when I randomly found her book Skin. – I hope she continues writing because Iβm hooked on her.
Ooh, I have to get this series! I have enjoyed both Ana Jolene’s post apocalyptic Glory MC series and Kylie Scott’s Flesh series. I have reread them many times.
I loved praying for rain and BB is the bees knees!!!
I love B.B. Eastonβs books. I have yet to read the Rain trilogy, but from everything Iβve seen itβs sure to be great.
After reading the 44 chapters series by BB Easton, I eagerly searched for any other books she’s written and came across Fighting for Rain. It’s my first dystopian series and even though I’m only 50% in, I’m hooked. SO good!! And now I have a new book blog to follow too!! Thanks, Maryse! π
YAY!!! I’m so happy you’re here, Lisa! π
I love this series so much! Havenβt read dying yet, but so far this series is right among the top of my dystopian faves
This is amazing! And my favorite is Fallen World by Laura Thalassa! Thank youβ€
This series is amazing, currently half way through Dying For Rain and amazing!!
Pestilence by Laura Thalassa was great π
Wow what amazing giveaway!! I canβt wait to read these, Iβve never read a post-apocalyptic book before that I can recall, so this is exciting and I loved BBβs β44 Chapters About Menβ books. Thanks so very much for this chance.πππ€π»
Itβs too hard to choose my favorite in this genre, but BB Easton is one of my favorite authors so I know this is going to be awesome!
I read the first two books this week and am dying to read the third on Jan 30th!! I read them through kindle unlimited. My first Bb Easton books and Iβm hooked!! Hope I win!
looking forward to know what u think. I’m not such a fan of these ya books, but if it’s a happy end I’ll think about it.
My favorites are SKIN and FLESH by Kylie Scott but you are making a good run for it BB. (If I could just convince Kylie to go back to and write a few more and quit writing bar stories I would be happy.) so BB YOU ARE MY LAST HOPE!!! clearly you have the touch. Loved 44 CHAPTERS AND PRAYING FOR RAIN. Am looking forward to the rest of the βrainβ series. If only you could move to Kansas City and be my neighbor, I promise I will proofread all your books. AND we would have so much fun. Get busy writing more!!!
This series looks like a good one. I am waiting fornthe third book so I can binge read the trilogy. I enjoyed the Providence Trilogy by Jamie McGuire ,The Selection Series by Kiera Cass, and Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi which are all post apocalyptic.
These sound great!! Iβll definitely be saving this one for my list. A favorite survival/apocalyptic story is Justin Croninβs The Passage.
Praying for Rain is the only one Iβve read but there is no way thereβs a better one!
Would love to win! This series is amazing!!!
Ooh, this one sounds amazing! Thank you, Maryse for being the hostess with the mostest! And to Ms. Easton for the generous opportunity.
I think my favorite dystopian read is The Hunger Games…I always go back to it.
Iβm anxiously awaiting the release of Dying for Rain! Loved the first two!! One of my favorite post apocalyptic books has to be the Until the World Ends series by Sarah Lyons Fleming….soooooo good!
I absolutely love this genre. I have pretty much read through most authors and my fav is Dana Fredsti Plague Nation. I would love this trilogy and I am so thankful for this chance. I am so happy to have found this blog awhile ago because of all of the new authors I have found.
