<— Lots of great reviews on this one!! And it would appear it’s a true story! Here are some fellow reader recommendations that are making me antsy to read these:
Heather: I’ve only read the first book but i loved it! It was done so well I found myself sympathizing with the heroine even though in my opinion, she caused her own problems….definitely a 4-4.5 star read!
Katie: Loved the first book! I wasn’t expecting much but it totally pulled me in.
Julie: It’s a true story?? That’s awesome, I’ve had it on my TBR for awhile now
Becky: I absolutely devoured these books and cannot wait for #3. I find myself thinking about these characters often. 4.5-5 star reads for sure. Hold on for the angst!
A note from the author:
It took a chance encounter with a young stranger at a bar to realize my life list was bullsh!t. But did I have the courage to correct the mistakes of my past? Was I strong enough to defy the wishes of everyone around me and become the woman I was meant to be?
You can find the answers to these questions in THE LIFE LIST. I’m CHRISSY ANDERSON and this is my story through my life choices- some good, some stupid, some sleazy. Sure, I’ve made some big mistakes. But, I learned from them and came out the other end in a pretty damn good place. My hope is that I can help you do the same.
About book #1:
The Life List, part I of The List Trilogy, is the ultimate chick lit novel and most of the story is true. Chrissy Anderson, a twenty-eight year old fashion executive, created a seven-point life list at the age of sixteen and she’s been steadily checking off the boxes and mocking the style and life choices of everyone around her ever since. Her life begins to run amuck when she unexpectedly meets a much younger, Leo, who makes her question her “perfect life.”
Chrissy’s lifelong friendships and her marriage are put to the test as she tries to sort out her feelings for Leo. With the help of her brassy, no-nonsense therapist, Dr. Maria, Chrissy learns more about herself than she anticipates. But, it isn’t until the untimely death of her best friend that Chrissy is catapulted into long overdue authenticity and scrambles to correct the mistakes of her past….trying to figure out if it’s Kurt, Leo or both that she has to get rid of to make everything right.

Maryse, I am in a HUGE BOOK FUNK right now and just don’t know what to read next. Been through so many books the last couple months (The Last Hour, Real, Undeniable, Unbeautifully, Sweet Thing, Sea of Tranquility (MY FAVORITE), etc., etc. and just read Jet this week). Don’t know what to read or what I feel like reading at this point – ugh! This one sounds a lot different and I think I may have to try it out! Any other suggestions from everyone to get me out of my funk would be appreciated!
Jean, I’m right there with you. I’m DYING for a book that keeps me up all night, or has me so adrenalized that I forget the world around me. One of those that nothing distracts me from it, even if I’m walking and reading, I don’t even notice.
You know? Ahhhhh I want one of those books!!
I know exactly! Help! I NEED one of those books!
Wow this sounds very cool–love that it came from a true place. Jean and Maryse, I’m right there with you. Thanks to this site, I’ve read close to 80 books this year (my husband hates me working on my own books at night on the computer, but has no issue with me holding up an iPad and reading lol, go figure), but right now I’m actually flipping through a few books, none of them holding my complete attention. My plan is to read Sweet Thing and Jet this weekend, based on the fab reviews, and hope that something AMAZING comes out next week 😉 I’ll be looking forward to my daily emails from this blog to feed my reader lol
I am with you guys! Serious book funk! I re-read Bared To You, Reflected In You and loved them even more! Gideon swept me off my feet again! I haven’t caught up to some of you yet, trying to read some of the above mentioned books and some on Maryse’s lists. Thank you so much for the lists by the way Maryse they really help me choose the next read!! Right now reading Anne Rice’s The Witching Hour which was recommended. I usually read two books at a time. It is creepy and mysterious. (Last night listening to the thunder while reading was so perfect!) So far I really like it! Back to Gideon though…. who will sweep me off my feet until Book 3?? LOVED the rawness of the Crossfire series and the angst of Thoughtless. sigh
Cynthia I am about to re-read the Bared to You series since Entwined to You is released tomorrow and I need a refresher! I loved Gideon also! So excited!
I just finished this one last night, thanks to this post!
Maryse you need to read this one. I could not put it down. It is so funny, deep and full of angst, the writing is amazing. I didn’t like all the capital letters in the beginning but after a while I get IT! It made me think of a lot of things in my own life. I was going to start #2 but I need a break, it was very intense! 5 star for sure!
Just finished this book this week and realized it’s now FREE on Amazon June 6 and 7, 2013.
