YA but this one is soon to be a movie, and many here loved it!
bev: One sweet YA I read was To All The Boys I loved Before by Jenny Han. Great heroine, she is the middle sister and they live together with their widow father. She is kind of quirky and girly. Bits of angst. The follow up book was good too…
Jeanie: Just finished To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before last night. I loved it and I hate reading about young love or characters in high school, BUT, the writing was so gooooood and the story really surprised me. It kept me guessing the whole time. Except for the end… (which made me yell WHAAAT???) Not really a cliffy but there is a book #2
bev: Always and Forever, Lara Jean (To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before Book 3) by Jenny Han is the last book in a trilogy, though the first could be read as a stand alone if you don’t care to continue. These books are just confections. French macaroons. Sweet, colorful, but with layers and a bit of texture.
About book #1:
What if all the crushes you ever had found out how you felt about them…all at once?
Sixteen-year-old Lara Jean Song keeps her love letters in a hatbox her mother gave her. They aren’t love letters that anyone else wrote for her; these are ones she’s written. One for every boy she’s ever loved—five in all. When she writes, she pours out her heart and soul and says all the things she would never say in real life, because her letters are for her eyes only. Until the day her secret letters are mailed, and suddenly, Lara Jean’s love life goes from imaginary to out of control.
I saw this on Bevs faves and loved the cover. I am gonna try the first one in series.
YA isnt my preferred genre, but it sounds good.
I love these covers. They actually represent the book well.
Honestly, a good cover will attract me to a book I normally wouldn’t even try.
Love this book !! Second book is my favorite out of the three but all is a must read. Something about Jenny hans writing make reading her books such a breeze. Can’t wait for the movie !
