My historical romance fans, a new one JUST WENT LIVE in Lisa Kleypas’s latest series!!!! And I know I have some hardcore Lisa Kleypas fans here! GAH!! I am absolutely in LOVE with these covers.
Anne: Marrying Winterborne by Lisa Kleypas was amazing! I loved Rhys! And the bonus chapter from Winter in Spring gave me all the feels! Sebastian is still hot after 30 years.
Jan: Devil In Spring was LOVELY. What a beautiful book. I remember bev saying she smiled all the way through. Yes! Pandora the slightly kooky/klutzy, sweet, innocent, clever and determined-to-be-independent h. Gabriel the gorgeous, sexy, experienced, warm and loving H who falls in love with her. *happy sigh*
Jean: Look at me, I read Devil in Spring and now I’m all into HRs!!!!!
Jan: Jean is loving Devil In Spring! Yayyy!! *pumps fist* Welcome to my world, Jean. If you want to boost your tbr, (bwahahah) the two previous books in that series are great too – Cold Hearted Rake and Marrying Winterborne. (Winterborne is a pioneering department store owner in London, like Mr Selfridge from TV, and it’s a lovely HR read).
And there’s a fourth one due out in February called Hello Stranger, loosely based on a real-life pioneering woman doctor in London. Can’t wait!! (So far, Devil In Spring is the best one, though). …This was my fav HR read of 2017, and that’s sayin’ sumthin’, cos I read a LOT of them LOL. A sweetly naive young woman who has led a sheltered life till now, and how she falls in love with a more experienced but loving, sexy and tender man who thought he wasn’t ready for actual true love. But he can’t stop himself from falling……and once he’s in, he’s all in! *happy sigh*
A new Kleypas is out on Feb 27th. Hello Stranger, about a pioneering woman doctor and her romance with a spy. Oooh! CAN’T WAIT!! *squeeeeeeeee*
About book #1:
A twist of fate . . .
Devon Ravenel, London’s most wickedly charming rake, has just inherited an earldom. But his powerful new rank in society comes with unwanted responsibilities . . . and more than a few surprises. His estate is saddled with debt, and the late earl’s three innocent sisters are still occupying the house . . . along with Kathleen, Lady Trenear, a beautiful young widow whose sharp wit and determination are a match for Devon’s own.
A clash of wills . . .
Kathleen knows better than to trust a ruthless scoundrel like Devon. But the fiery attraction between them is impossible to deny—and from the first moment Devon holds her in his arms, he vows to do whatever it takes to possess her. As Kathleen finds herself yielding to his skillfully erotic seduction, only one question remains:
Can she keep from surrendering her heart to the most dangerous man she’s ever known?
