Five fun facts about Halton
Halton can be read as a complete standalone. He resides in the Vested Interest Series Book 6. However, his story is his own, and while a few characters makes appearances, they are explained, and you won’t be lost. He is a great read just on his own!
- What is Vested Interest?
I’m so glad you asked. The series started out as 3 books. The men of BAM. Bentley, Aiden, and Maddox. Three young men who meet in university and form a bond that lasts a lifetime. Each have their own story and they need to be read in order as the timelines flow one into another.
But as sometimes happen, side characters emerge and Reid, the IT boy wonder was born. And along with that book, the master-carpenter Van emerged. Books 4 & 5 can also be read as standalones, although I have been informed once you start, you can’t stop until they are all done!
- Halton wasn’t planned. He had a small part in book #5 with an epic line as he is speaking with a client. “I eat people like Mr. Nolan for breakfast and shit them out before lunch.” Readers clamored for more, and although I said no, he began to talk and we all know once a lawyer starts to talk, they rarely shut up until they are happy. Hence the birth of book #6.
- There is a fun scene in the book about “night noises” that was inspired by real life events. All I will say is I share a hotel room with my PA for book signings. She is the inspiration behind it, although she vehemently denies this.
P.S. Sidenote from Maryse… I received a quick message from her PA saying: “…five fun facts! << it contains a small white lie but I will let it go for now...” *snort* 😂😂 I LOVE IT!!!
- Halton loves to eat and does so with gusto. In fact, while writing this book, I often got the munchies after describing one of his many meals or snacks. He never met a food group he didn’t love.
READING ORDER:
– Books #1-3 are on an interconnecting timeline, should be read in order
– Books #4-5 can standalone within Vested Interest world
– Book #6 is a standalone spin off

I absolutely love the Vested Interest series! I read the first three books in three days. I couldn’t put them down. Bentley, Aiden and Maddox captured my heart. From the beginning the story caught my attention. I love how three different men came together and formed this unbreakable friendship and created this successful company. I also loved watching each of them fall in love. I’m reading Reid’s story now and loving it. I can’t wait to read Van’s story and Halton’s story! They both sound epic. I adore Melanie’s books.
