Oh YES!!! I want to read this series… Bad ass hockey players in all of their bad-boy romance glory. Sounds right up my alley. π And then, I saw the great reviews (and started receiving recommendations) and realized this could be a very fun, and steamy marathon. Oh yes… it… could.
Ashley:Β Β I don’t know if you’ve ever hear about the ‘Assassins Series’ by ToniΒ Aleo. It’s a hockey series and there are three books so far. They’re similar to Kristen Ashley books in that they’re long and the couple is together for most of the book (and each book is steamier than the next). Definitely something I would 100% recommend, I can’t wait for the next one!
Jackie:Β I found this series a few months ago by Toni Aleo. Β There are three so far with a fourth coming out very soon. Β It is about a Hockey team from Nashville. Β The characters are fun and interesting and are repeated throughout each book. Β These hockey players are hot.
Jeannie:Β Just read Taking Shots (Assassins) by ToniΒ Aleo!! What a great book!! Loved it and I recommend it to anyone who hasn’t read it!
About book #1:
Elli Fisher has never thought she was good enough. Let it be her job, her weight, her love life; nothing. She has walked through life for the past six years in a daze, never thinking that life could be good again after the abuse she endured from her ex-boyfriend. She is lonely, sad, and depressed, that is until she meets Shea Adler. After doing a promotional shoot for the NHL team, the Nashville Assassins, she meets the hunky hockey player who shoots a puck, shattering her world.
Shea Adler is tired of the life he was living outside of the rink. The girls, the money blowing, the drinking, everything had to stop and it all did when he met Eleanor Fisher. He had never met anyone like her. She is feisty, witty, shy, and simply gorgeous. When he laid eyes on her, it was as if he was taking the hardest hit of his life into the boards, and he had to have her. Elli is a little skeptical of Shea, but he knows that they are meant to be together, and he needs her in his life.
But Elli just doesn’t understand what Shea could see in her. She is overweight, loud, and not even that pretty, so why would someone so gorgeous and so amazing want to be with her? It seems that no matter how hard she tries to shake Shea off, he isn’t going anywhere, and for the first time, Elli doesn’t feel alone.
But can Elli throw her insecurities out the window and love Shea with everything inside of her? Or will she let a past relationship, and her family ruin any chance of her being happy?Would Elli miss her shot at love?

I’ve read them all….my favorite is the Shea and Ellie book! Can’t wait for book #4! A great series that I often go back to from time to time to re-read!
You’ve made my day. I was just wondering what else i can read this vacation. π nothing like a hockey player to cheer me up. I just finished a small cute book called Lexi, baby. I m ready for a big smokin romance.
These have been coming up on Goodreads as suggestions for me and I can’t wait to read them. Just finished Hopeless by Colleen Hoover and was searching for my next book.
And book #1 has just been re-edited this year, so for all of those that mentioned editing issues, it looks like it’s been fixed.
I absolutely LOVE these books! Toni Aleo is amazing! They are cleaner then most of the books we have all been reading but honestly its not a problem. These are all written so well that you don’t miss it.. Each book is great i cant wait until Blue Lines comes out
