A quick message to Bonnie (and all of you who feel or have felt the same way after finishing book four in the Twilight Saga)…
I know….I do. I really do. I’ve been there.
My husband’s been there (through me).
My employees have been there (through me).
You feel like you’ve just been visited by your best friend, and they’ve just left to go home, and you’re sitting there all alone. I know. It’s hard. (*giggle* – woops – sorry ’bout that).
And I know, that no matter how much coaxing I do, and how many series I suggest to you, your heart is just not into it yet. You’re not ready. I know.
No matter how insistent I am that you read another series to help get over the Twilight Saga, you think, as I once did, that NOTHING will be good enough.
Nothing will live up.
Nothing will give you that *feeling* once again.
But, I promise you this. You will live to love (another series) again. There are SO many of them out there. And like you, I reluctantly picked up the biggest series I could find (so that it would not be over so quickly), and while I thought I’d never reach that Twilight pinnacle, I have cried for, laughed with, and loved many other vampires since Edward.
I will admit, I fear the day I will never have another vampire to read about. And that is why, I am surrounded by mile-high piles of paranormal books to keep me entertained until the day I die. This is just the start for you, my dear sister, and if you let yourself go, you will be thoroughly entertained 🙂
Love you!

Thanks Maryse 😉
I’ll get on it!
xoxo
Bonnie, never fear Maryse got me through my withdrawl. I went from Twilight to Dark Hunter to Sookie Stackhouse and then felt all alone until I talked to Maryse and met the Black Dagger Brotherhood, I owe her for that, and so does my husband…
Awww, and in Toni, I found someone I could chat endlessly about books with, and MY husband thanks YOU for that 🙂
I found the P.C Cast divine series fell in love with the main male character lol, got the goddess summoning series on order if you havent heard of them you should deffiently take a look. Another one i found was the Kresley Cole series i have not read them yet but they are ordered. I think there is 8 books in total the story lines sound really romantic and maybe a bit erotic dont no till iv read them. Also cheack out the book blood and chocolate and shiver, i think they are warewolf romance stories. Love your website it has some great books on it XX
Thanks Mandy!! I was thinking about reading PC Cast soon, and I will start with that one. I’ve started rounding up the books from Kresley Cole’s series too, and I can’t wait to start it. For the thanksgiving weekend, I’m going to power read through the whole “The Others” series by Christine Warren (vampires and were’s in that one), and they look awesome!
After Twilight I moved on to the Vampire Diaries which were okay and then to Sookie Stackhouse which I love. I’ve read through book 4 so far. I think I may like Eric more than Edward!
Exactly!! I was so much more into Eric (he is amazing throughout the series, just wait and see!) I was telling my SIN about him, when my husband reminded me that I might give up a “spoiler” so I told her “It’s another exciting love triangle” and you get to be either Team Bill Or Team Eric!
I’m team Eric – I would love to have a chunk of that Viking!
Ha.. the same here.. Just got done reading twilight series and im heartbroke! I cant eat or sleep.. I honestly feel like i did lose my bestfirend.. My husband doesnt understand my “moping” around and is getting aggitated. So im gonna take your suggestion and try and “get on with it”..though i really dont feel ready.. HOW STUPID! But gonna try the black dagger series..Hope it lives up to my twilight!
Good girl!! You will be enamored with the BDB guys, no doubt about it! They will certainly welcome you into their world, and you will be happy to be there. The great thing about the series, is that it there are many books to get through, and no real end in sight (as of yet), so even more books to look forward to!
Christine Feehan’s Dark Series is fantastic. A bit sexual, but I love the storyline that flows thru each book.
