This one started out as a “reader question” but the great recommendations just kept coming, so I made it a list, instead.
Now of course we are ALL looking for alpha-male books, ’cause that’s pretty much our thing, isn’t it? 😉 Alpha romance? US!! It’s a given. It’s much of what brought all of us readers together. Our love of Alpha McBossypants heroes that infuriate us, and then turn around and give us butterflies in our stomach. BEST. FEELING. EVER.
But let’s thank these two readers that have re-activated our love of good alpha-lists, and the books that make ’em!

Tiffany: Kathleen Turner Series by Tiffany Snow!
Michelle: I absolutely loved the Kathleen Turner series. It’s nonstop action, drama, mystery and romance (with the best love triangle!) start to finish. I read all of them in a few sittings.
Cindy: I also have to mention that I devoured the entire Kathleen Turner series… Each book gets better and better and builds. (And she gets herself into quite the situations) The two leading men are OMG wow!

Fabi: Surviving Raine by Shay Savage, was one of my top five reads of 2014 and has such a unique male POV that all you feel is “her” reactions. Incredible book.
Kristin: Im reading the The Seven Series right now. Not quite as bad ass as Kristen Ashley’s guys (but they are hard to replace) but I love the series anyway
AP: For anyone looking for something different: I was in a post-”the deal” funk too and started reading the seven series by Dannika Dark. It’s paranornal- about shifters actually- but it’s amazing! It has everything we crave- hot men, fiesty women, angst, action (in and out of bed of course!), humor. The series reminds me of the rock chick series by kristen Ashley… I read the Mageri series first but you don’t need to read them before starting this one. And each book is a different story too so you get your HEA and each book after follows in sequence.
MichelleS: I’m a huge fan of the Mageri series and the Seven series.

Grey: Ohhh! Fighting Destiny, definitely gets my vote for what should be your first pick!! Mmm, that Ryder, he can … rats, I can’t say anything else here or I’d spoil it for you! However, he’s right up there with V and Barrons as one of my favorite supernatural beings…

Maggie: i found this series Club Shadowlands by Cherise Sinclair. it opened up the door for me in understanding BDSM the thrill, suspense, the good and bad guys, loved the story line and the masters..the good ones not to dark but dark enough.

Tracey: I just read hardwired and hardpressed (part of the hacker series)! Great story with many fifty like steamy moments. By mereidth wild. Great read

Julie: -Lovely Trigger (Tristan & Danika #3) – my fav of this author’s books which says a lot b/c they are all good – such a great series!
Jessie: The trilogy of Tristan and Danika, in my opinion, was even better and more emotional than Up In The Air, trilogy. I highly recommend these books they remind me so much of Fifty Shades that I sometimes get them mixed up! They are totally worth the time and money of buying and reading them!

Liz: Kylie Scott’s writing style is just so incredible good. The characters carry the story and each of them is so different, but each of them attractive on such a different level.

MichelleS: I am reading The Virgin (Original Sinners #7) by Tiffany Reisz. Man. This woman can write Taboo Erotica like no one else. She is one kinky girl. I am hooked on Kingsley and Soren and Nora.
Grey: Add my name to the fangirls of Tiffany Reisz’s The Saint. Love her writing. Love the characters, even when “we’re not supposed to” love them. Original. Spicy. Whew, and the smut… killer! Definitely a 5 star! Cannot wait for the next installment in the series!

Jessica: I read Raze and it is a must read. Tillie Cole is truly gifted… It is dark… Like vegemite (Ozzy spread… Basically this black salty condiment, creates a total sensory overload, kinda disgusting… But you keep going back for more).

Margie: This probably can also go under What to Read after KA – Hero by Samantha Young. Some of her books are better than others. But just finished this and it’s terrific. Great strong heroine and alpha hero. Lots of angst. But a good story. Has HEA and no cliffhanger. Hope this is a series.
Shell: I randomly picked to read ‘Hero’ by Samantha Young, don’t know if any of you girls have read it, I am half way through and I am loving it. It’s a millionaire romance and written really well with really likeable characters.
Lisa S: Ditching the Dream by Author Isabelle Peterson features the bold Elizabeth, a 40+ y/o neglected housewife who ditches her husband to be independent for the first time in NYC. She meets alpha male Jack Stevens and hot Kevin Parker. The sequel is Not In My Wildest Dreams. Loved both. DOMMING THE HEIRESS by Talon ps. It’s a novella about a female CEO who wants to be dominated. The twist is that the Dom who wants her is rejected because he is younger than she. She agrees to be blindfolded because she tends to top from the bottom. He has to be a strong enough Dom to control her. Excellent! Ryderthe prequel novella by Jani Kay is on sale… as are books 1 & 2. He is rude, crude, alpha MC biker. This is erotica with a story. Two Worlds Colliding and Unchain My Heart are books 1 and 2. Jade is independent and earns her own money, not a pushover.
Megan: Currently reading “Better When He’s Bad” and loving it!
Allison: It sorta gets lost in the shuffle, but one of my very favorites is Jennifer Lyon’s The Plus One Chronicles. Kele Moon’s Battered Hearts Series is also amazing. (and the spinoffs have been great too!) Joey W Hill’s Natural Law is totally different but exciting and deep. And, if you’ve missed it you have gotta visit Sector 4 with Kit Rocha’s Beyond Series.
Cryss: Highland Wolf Clan Series by A K Michaels
Kay: KC Lynn Men Of Honor Series. The heroes are all alpha ex-navy seals. Awesome heroines. Great interaction between all the characters. First book is Fighting Temptation, then Sweet Temptation, then Resisting Temptation. My favorite books by far!!!!
Audrey: Titan Series Reading Orders by Cristin Harber start with Winters heat. It’s as alpha as you can get and IMO.. Better than KA’s. Great heroines too.

This lady is truly an amazing talented writer who deserves more credit than she gets read her books you will love outlaw, and sloanne. Also loved the last riders series by jamie begley omg its like alpha male heaven and also the heart of stone series by d h sidebottom starts with incineration. These are my recommendations.

I’ve loved so many that you and others have mentioned already. Pretty much any book by Kristen Ashley is an absolute one-click go-to for me, especially the Colorado Mountain series and the Chaos series. But I’ve been sucked in by a few other series cuz I love a good book binge! The Alluring Indulgence series by Nicole Edwards (love those Walker brothers), the Isthmus Alliance series by Sloan Johnson (some fun and interesting alpha kink), the Until series by Aurora Rose Reynolds (just straight up uber-alpha bossy hotness in those Mayson brothers), and the Beyond series by Kit Rocha (holy hell hotness where nothing is off limits it seems) are just a few more.
Where are the Mafia books?! I love love love those fictional Mafia men! My most recent was Blurred Lines by Jeniffer K. Brand. Davids is one alpha male! And speaking of the author? She wrote one awesome book and disappeared!

Reading After The Rain. I have loved what Renee Carlino has written previously, but I’m having a hard time clicking with this one. Her writing style usually is smoother and so well-written. This one feels choppy and almost “amatuerish” in it’s writing. The story is good, but it just doesn’t have the feel to it like her previous books, at least not yet, I’m only at about 40% right now. 🙁

I can’t stop smiling (and more often than not, laughing out loud). “A is for Alpha Male” by Laurel Curtis is so funny. I LOVE Haley and Alison as a dynamic duo. Their relationship gives me something to aim for with my own daughter.
I downloaded “A is for Alpha Male” because I was looking for a light funny read after “Ruthless (Dark MC Romance)” by Vanessa Waltz. Wow, dark doesn’t quite do it justice. Definitely not for the faint of heart. Ok, back to “A is for Alpha Male”…I’m only 25% through the book and I already miss Danny and Haley’s story…and it hasn’t even really started yet! A great homage to Kristen Ashley.
I expect this will be one of my favs.
