She says:
Hi Maryse,
I’m looking forward to seeing everyone’s favorites this year again until we get to the BIG REVEAL at the end – YOURS. Β π
1.)Β WolfsongΒ by T.J. KluneΒ (M/M PNR) <—Β I am literally stunned speechless at the brilliance of this book. Β…it’s all candy canes and pinecones and epic and awesome.ΒΒ I’ve read many shifter romances. (too many?) But I’ve never read one as brilliant as TJ Klune’s Wolfsong. This one isn’t only for PNR lovers, this one is for EVERYONE. If you’ve never read a shifter romance, let this one be your introduction to the genre. If you’ve read too many to count, read this one because I promise you’ve never read another like it.
2.)Β Fighting Silence (On The Ropes Book 1)Β by Aly MartinezΒ (F/M CR Fighter Theme) <—Β Once I started reading this one my world pretty much stopped. I was glued to it. I couldn’t break away until I finished the last page. The only break I took was to buy the 2nd book. My heart still flip-flops when I think about it.
3.)Β The Last Hour of GannΒ byΒ R. Lee SmithΒ (F/M Sci-Fi Romance) <—Β When I finished, I looked up, around, and wasn’t really sure I wanted to be back in real life. This story took me so far away, and captured me so completely, that I’m still trying to shake off the weird feeling that it was real.
4.)Β Drawn InΒ by Barbara ElsborgΒ (M/M darkish) <—Β Destroyed – That’s how I feel after reading this book.Β It’s dark, it’s emotional, and it never lets up. An mm romantic suspense thriller that will grab your heart strings from the very beginning and not let up until the very end. This book will have you gasping when not outright crying.
5.)Β Beyond the Sea: LGBT RomanceΒ by Keira AndrewsΒ (M/M CR shipwrecked) <—Β TOTAL. BOOK. FOG.Β I loved it, loved it, loved it!Β What a perfect love story.Β IΒm still swooning.
6.)Β LowΒ by Mary ElizabethΒ (F/M CR) <—Β This story…this story will grab your heart, squeeze it tight, and make it bleed.Β IΒm still reeling from this one.Β Read itΒ so you can bleed like me.
7.)Β Strong Signal (Cyberlove Book 1)Β by Megan Erickson and Santino HassellΒ (M/M CR gaming and military) <—Β I loved it. I knew I would love it, and I loved it. I’ve never read anything by Santino Hassel I haven’t loved. I was not familiar with Megan Erickson’s work, but their collaboration was so seamless that I couldn’t tell who wrote what, or even that there were two authors, while reading.
8.)Β Not a Game: A Contemporary Gay Romance NovelΒ by Cardeno C.Β (M/M CR) <—Β I’m giving it the full five stars. I can’t help myself. Any book that makes me feel this good from beginning to end, then ends up giving me mushy mush tears at the end deserves all my stars.Β Read this uplifting story when you need to feel good.
9.) To Love Jason ThornΒ byΒ Ella MaiseΒ (F/M CR Hollywood Star) <—Β Sweet, funny and heartwarming. I devoured this book. It had me from the first page on.
10.) Something Like Summer (Something Like… Book 1)Β by Jay BellΒ (M/M Coming of Age) <—Β It kept me on an emotional roller-coaster through the entire 9.5 hours of narration. Jay Bell put me through the ringer! As I finished listening, I sat there stunned. Equal parts sad and happy.

Yay. I love best if lists. I’m impressed you kept it to 10, Fabi.
#3 is the only one I’ve read, though I have a couple in my tbr.
Great list.
Fabi! Great list! I’ve only read 2 and 3 (love that whole Aly Martinez series!). Wolfsong is high on my TBR with all the huge raving about it, especially from you! It would be totally out of the box for me, never read a shifter book and it’s M/M, but I am going to do it!
Fabi! Fabulous list….but, but, but, I have so many to add to my TBR now! LOL! Would you believe I have only read one?!? Fighting Silence, which I too, loved! I read the book after the one you read by Ella Maise and liked that one too.
Thank you so much for your list and to Maryse for posting these amazing best of 2016 lists… I just love this time of year!!!
Thanks Fabi. I’ve only read 1 and 3 but loved them both.
Yeah! Thanks for posting my list Maryse. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone else’s.
I know all of you will understand when I say it was a little heartbreaking to cut my favs down to 10. I had to eliminate 14 other ones. π But these were all great for me so I’m happy.
Jean, I know you read #6 too because I remember you being upset about it. It’s definitely an upsetting book.
Oh yeah, I did read Low and loved it! And I just read Poesy a couple days ago and it brought everything back. Loved that one too!
Great list Fabi! Love your m/m recs! Have loved quite a few of your reads.
Yeh favorite’s list; love reading these!! Fabi, I have only read 9 but I have 2 & 6 on my tbr list. π
Thanks Fabi for the list .I have read 2 n it was soo nice….3 is in my tbr list.
I love looking at lists too, thanks Fabi ! To Love Jason Thorn was a fave of mine, major swoon. I also have to bump Fighting Silence & Beyond the Sea up on my TBR.
Wolfsong sounds very intriguing…Maybe someday I’ll give that one a try!!
Great list Fabi…thank you for sharing them…I loved Fighting Silence…I encourage you to read the next two in that series they are equally as amazing! I also wanted to check out To Love Jason Thorn…it looks like a sweet romance!
I’ve only read 2, 3 and 9 so far. Low scares me. Lol too much angst possible.
Thanks everyone.
Therese I’ve read the entire On the Ropes series. Gobbled it up back to back!
So, three of yours are on my top ten too!!! Gann, Wolfsong and Beyond the Sea. YAY!!!! Now to go check out your other recs.
Fantastic! I love getting ideas on new books (new to me!) to read. So far, have only read Last Hour of Gann (love, love, loved it!) so I have several great choices here. So much FUN!
Wolfsong…hmmmm, I *think* I’ve heard of that one before. Maybe it was mentioned here a time or two? π
You know, even if it wasn’t labeled with your name I would totally be able to recognize it as a Fabi list. π *big hugs*
lol Amy! You know me so well and we haven’t even met in person yet.
Fabi – great list! I have definitely add Wolfsong to my TBR list. You sold me in your description!
yeeeaa D.G. π
Great list, Fabi! I haven’t read a single one of them! lol But I’m thinking of using Wolfsong for the challenge, and I definitely want to read Low and few of the others very soon!
