Deviation (The Imitation Series, Book 2)
NOTE: If you haven’t read book #1 yet, please skip this review (possible spoilers for book #1) and go to this one, instead: Guest Review (my sister!!) – Imitation (The Imitation Series, Book 1) by Heather Hildenbrand
Review by Johanne Pearl Couturier
This book is even more exciting than the first one!
Ven does not only want to be free, she wants all the imitations to be free too. She realizes why she is so interesting to her creator, Titus, that no good, stone hearted, absolutely freaky I want to rule the universe son of a b… (yes, you guessed it… I totally hate him!). She seems to be different from the first imitations… she is a deviation.
From the start, Ven was able to get people befriend her and in this sequel, her love for her bodyguard blooms, and she is more and more surrounded by allies, her craving for freedom seeming to be contagious… and while all those people are doing their best to counteract Titus’s plans, both sides are in for big surprises!
The rhythm in that book is great and, damn, Heather Hildenbrand takes us on an emotional roller coaster ride as everything spins and plans unfolds. I got myself stuck with my mouth wide opened more than once!
(4 ½ stars)
