New year, new TBR list, right? Well… not really. Bigger TBR list, yes, but I’m not abandoning those that I added in last year. They are still calling to me like crazy. So while I’ve been reading some of these fantastic looking shiny new ones (and will still be reading them as I find the ones that “grab me”), I’ve also been backtracking and pulling out a few that have been waiting patiently. I’m gonna make a dent in it, if it’s the last thing I do! 😉
But since a few have asked for it…
Eduarda: And my question is…. What are You reading right now ??
Sarabeth: Ive been so out of the loop these past few mos. can you post you current BTR list? Thanks!
Maryse’s Book Blog: I will… it’s a bit of a mess though, ’cause I can’t stop “squirreling” over shiny new books (or older ones that come with a recommendation that has me leaping out of my seat) but I’ll do my best. Coming soon…
… here it is.
I’ve surfed through my books and some enticing recommendations I’ve received, and these are the books that have me currently juggling my TBR list. My hope is that this list will have (or will consist mostly of) books that I will never forget. Books that just by the title alone, I’ll be able to go into a “OMG SO good!!” what-it’s-about schpeel ’cause it affected me that much. *fingers crossed* I want to connect with them. And I want to LIVE it. So there you go, Universe. I’m putting that “out there”. 😉
Okay so this list doesn’t include any of upcoming releases that I’m anticipating (or the ones that I don’t even know about but that are sure to make me “squirrel” again) but these ARE the ones that I ABSOLUTELY want to read like crazy, and I’m hoping to get to them all, soon:
P.S. If you have a recommendations that you absolutely 5-star loved like crazy (that has left you in a love-fog, or shocked you out of your skin, or had you dreaming about it for days, or that has taken your #1 book-boyfriend spot and you don’t think he’ll ever be knocked from it – like my beloved Travis ;)), then please let me know in the comments. 😀
My latest (although not necessarily in this order) TBR list:
- Break In Two by MJ Summers <— brand new on my list (I found it while searching Amazon for great looking bargains), and it’s what I’m currently reading. Great number of awesome reviews, and while I find it has a more traditional “contemporary feel” at the moment (and hasn’t won me over yet), one of our fellow readers (Jennifer) just read it and freaked out, saying: “I’m 61% into Break In Two. My jaw just dropped!! It started a little slow for me, but I quickly fell in love with the characters and plot. I was waiting for a twist in the story, and BOOM! Twist it did!!! I am literally growling at my iPad right now! Can’t put it down!” <— So you know I am IN!!!! YIPPEEEEEEE!!!! Look at me dancing! —-> LOL! UPDATE – okay this one wasn’t working for me as much as I hoped. I may pick it back up later though…
- God Shaped Hole: A Novel by Tiffany DeBartolo <—- I LOVED this author’s book How to Kill a Rock Star and I hear this one will rock my world, too. Maybe not in the same way (not a rock star in this), but there is just SO much love for it that I’ve just got to read it ASAP! Also, I will need a box of tissues or three. So… there’s that… which is probably what’s been holding me back for now.
- Come to Me Quietly: The Closer to You Series by A.L. Jackson <— ohhhhhh the sheer number of awesome reviews this one already has, plus the fact that he’s a tortured, tattooed bad boy that she’s been crushing on since she was a kid (and he’s her brother’s best friend), and now that they’re adults, she comes home to find him on her couch well… all I can say is… MINE!!! <— UPDATE: READ!!! Reviewed! (So good!)
- Mine to Lose (Mine to Love) by T.K. Rapp <— also a new one that I wasn’t on my radar until last week’s bargain list and it is calling me because we all know that long-distance relationships are just asking for trouble. Wait wait waiiiiiiit. They work… they sure can. But there are all sorts of nasty emotions and insecurities that can come into play, and well… I totally wanna play with that. 😛 <— UPDATE: READ!!! Reviewed (very good!)
- The Fault in Our Stars by John Green <— from what I hear, this is one of the most AMAZING perfect books in the world. And, well, after seeing all of the 5-star reviews, there is no way that many people can be wrong. So… what the heck am I waiting for!!??? Oh right. I don’t wanna cry. I mean, I DO. I love crying over book-relationship issues and angst… I just don’t like crying so much for… er… other stuff. And I fear this one. I know, I know… by not reading it, I’m only hurting myself.
- Sempre: Redemption by J.M. Darhower <— I LOVED LOVED LOVED book #1 (Sempre (Forever)) and I hear this newly released sequel is simply AMAZING.
- Beg Tease Submit – Sequence One (Songs of Submission (Sequence One)) by C.D. Reiss <— I hear this series is awesome and I have no idea why I have all of the books and have yet to read it. Especially since it’s one of my long-time reading buddies (who’s a little picky, I might add) that insists! Plus, every time I post about this series in one way or another, a ton jump in to praise it. *sigh* All I want to do is read read read read read, while I have a maid and a cook to handle the rest. Oh and there’s that thing called a job. 😛 Okay Universe, I’m putting that out there, too. 😉 <— READ!!!
- Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma <— I hear this is the ultimate in “make-us-uncomfortable” shocking and emotionally affecting taboo books. I want to read it ’cause it reeeeally messes with our fellow readers daring enough to jump in… but I’m a chicken. 😛 Still, you know I’m gonna read it. I just wonder how i’m gonna review it. 😉 <—- UPDATE: JUST READ IT AND LOVED IT!!!!! (my review)
- Rough Canvas: 6 (Nature of Desire) by Joey W. Hill <— m/m romance that has come HIGHLY recommended and has been deemed one of the best love/romance stories ever (by those that have recommended it). BIG time emotional connection to these guys, I hear.
- Hot Head by Damon Suede <— suuuper-steamy m/m romance that SO many in our group L-O-V-E!!! This one stands out for me in regards to the number of recommendations and reactions that have come my way.
- Faith & Fidelity (Faith, Love and Devotion) by Tere Michaels <—- and yet another m/m romance that is calling me like crazy and that also seems to have our fellow readers falling head-over-heels. I hear this one is GREAT for m/m newbies (kind of like me, although I can take it… LOL!), but I hear it’s more romance and extreme emotional connection then… er.. *waggles eyebrows*
- No Turning Back (The Kathleen Turner Series #1) by Tiffany Snow <— I hear this series has the ULTIMATE love triangle that has been going on for a bunch of books now, and everyone is either on team Kade or Blane and our fellow readers are LOVING it!! Sounds like a fun alpha-male tease, that will put me through an emotional ringer. I love the angst, and I need to read these ASAP! Kathleen Turner Series Reading Order <— READ!!!
- Fighting Destiny (The Fae Chronicles) by Amelia Hutchins <— paranormal series but I hear will take me by storm. Will blow me away, make me melt, and have me super-addicted to it. Marla says: “The Most Awesome Books would be “The Fae Chronicles” by Amelia Hutchins,,,,Fighting Destiny and Taunting Destiny,,,,are books that everyone should read,,,,Paranormal to the extreme,,,,Absolutely love these books!!!” and Kate said: “Hi Maryse, I’m not sure if you’ve read Fighting Destiny by Amelia Hutchins or if I’ve mentioned it to you before but if u haven’t, u must! I just finished book 2 Taunting Destiny and it was F**ken amazing!!! Definately needs to be added to your paranormal tbr list” —> Here is The Fae Chronicles Series Reading Order
- Truce (Neighbor from Hell) by R.L. Mathewson <— Historical romance (but part of our beloved “Neighbors from Hell” series) and it would appear that everyone who has read it seems to love it like crazy. Soooo many 5-star reviews and barely any touching the other numbers. And I know how much I loved #1 & #2, so I’m thinking I’ve already waited long enough to jump in. Here is the Neighbors From Hell Series Reading Order
- Styxx (Dark-Hunter Novels) by Sherrilyn Kenyon <—- 848 pages of what I hear is PURE awesomeness. And while I once-upon-a-time did NOT like Styxx (ugh!! He was just… UGH!!!), but… since he looks JUST like Acheron and my friend Sherry went crazy for his story, well… I’m willing to give him a go. 😉 I absolutely intended on reading this but wow, it’s gonna take me a few days to finish. And I want to have them all in a row, uninterrupted so I can lose myself like back in the day when I read the entire Dark-Hunter series back to back. Yep. When my BFF Sherry said: “I cried my eyes out!! Seriously..I HATED HIM SO BAD in Acherons book, but now he’s my favorite!!! … I would have 5 starred it Definitely. Serious tears!!” well, that just made me want to move this up to my next book.
- Bullet to the Heart (No Mercy) by Lea Griffith <— How could I possibly resist when Tiffany said: “Hey Maryse, Read a book called Bullet to the Heart by Lea Griffith…Gave me goosebumps and was so hard to read at parts..but beautiful too…Its def a book that your gonna Love!! I have followed your blog for the last few years..so I know you gonna love this book!! Give it a look!!” <— you said the magic word! GOOSEBUMPS! That’s what I’m looking for!
- A Little Too Much (#2) by Lisa Desrochers <— I LOVED book #1 like crazy, so of course, I MUST read “the other guy’s” book. Plus, I need to catch up, ’cause #3 will be out this year! A Little Too Far Series Reading Order
Okay, so far… that’s it.
Well that’s not true. My actual “intensive” TBR list is more like 40 books long. Maybe 50. Maybe 100. 😉 And… I might add a few more tonight as I continue searching out my multiple lists that I’ve made in the past. I’ll add any especially exciting-looking ones in here.
But remember, I might not be reading these in this particular order, nor will they be my only “next” TBR reads (since I’m a”shiny new read” junkie) and I like to choose my next read depending on my mood. But these are the ones that have been calling me like crazy.
Styxx was so soul wrenching, heart breaking and emotional for me. It took me awhile to get over!
Lovely list, Maryse. Let me endorse my personal favorite- The Kathleen Turner series. Kade is an all time favorite book boyfriend of mine 😉
I skimmed through a couple of books on this list, idk, I mean it was hard getting into a book after reading Out of Turn (Kathleen Turner Series) HINT HINT HINT
LOL!!!! Okay I’m definitely getting the hint. 😉 Our Facebook page has a bunch of similar “hints”. Tee hee!! And I love this author (personally). She was a fantastic guest at Book Bash, so I totally need to read her books.
LOVED The Fault in Our Stars! It made me laugh, it made me cry, and then laugh some more. Short read and well written.
Dusty which is being publish now…but I mention it to you on your Facebook page a while ago and I know ur busy…LOL…but it def won’t be the last time you here of the book. I believe in the lit world that it is the next beautiful disaster…next fifty shades…next (big book) imo… It’s really that good …I promise..
Sniff..sniff 😉
I noticed that you have a few m/m books and if you want to add a “lighter” m/m read to the list – try The Backup Boyfriend by River Jaymes. I started my new year off with it & loved it! Alec is a doctor (a little uptight) & Dylan is a “straight” mechanic & ladies man. Dylan steps up as “the backup boyfriend” to help Alec out & well… what ensues from there, you can figure out the rest. 🙂 Great read – I totally enjoyed it!
I read the D/s trilogy by Ella Dominguez & I absolutely loved it! Right up there with FSoG & Crossfire series on my shelves, but a little “edgier” with the BDSM. Still a great love story between Dylan & Isa & trying to find themselves through each other.
Wow, I think I may have to start the Kathleen Turner series too! Also, Love the Bradford boys (book 3 Checkmate was my favourite, made me cry, and Truce is sitting on my TBR). Have also been loving Lisa Desrochers books, book 3 looks Hot!! One of my hard core favourites over the last few months, have been Axel, Cage and Beck from the Corp Security series by Harper Sloan: hot Alpha males, with Hot dirty talking sex, but also great dramatic stories covering themes like domestic violence. These will make you cry, but also SWOON!! Also, one of your faves from 2012, On Dublin Street by Samantha Young, Down London Road was equally amazing, and I adored Before Jamaica Lane recent release, which was such a Smile On Your Face, Hot read – these can be read as standalone novels.
Let me know when you start Forbidden. I’ve wanted to read that forever, but I’m scared. I think it needs a buddy read. And the Kathleen Turner Series is AMAZING!
I read a brief blurb of Forbidden and if it was a little less expensive, I would have immediately read it. I read Under Mr. Nolan’s Bed without knowing the taboo nature and I don’t regret it. Yup, it was wrong, but I am all about the angst, not the taboo. The more turmoil the better! What’s wrong with me!
The Fault in Our Stars is one of the best books I have ever read. Period. Sobbed like a baby and it hurt like a mother. But ohhh so worth it! It’s short, so you can get it read pretty quickly and move on to something lighthearted to ease the pain. Well, that might be hard for you though, since you didn’t put a single lighthearted book on the list above! LOL So, read TFIOS and then do a quick skim and scan through all of Travis’ best books parts to help ease the pain instead. That’s what I always do, ‘cept I go with Kellan instead. Point – GO READ The Fault in Our Stars and stop being a big chicken!!! 🙂 🙂
I check your blog everyday for reading updates and I have read so many of your recommendations, but yet I have never commented. However, I read a series yesterday that I can’t get out of my head and I most definitely need to share! Please, please read King Hall and King Cave by Scarlett Dawn. It is a paranormal romance, but unlike anything I’ve ever read, and as far as hott alpha males go…. I’m telling you Maryse you will love Ezra. This is one of those all consuming, can’t stop reading till I’m done books, that will have you thinking about it for days after.
If you’re gonna read an m/m Try by Ella Frank should be at the top of your list! Those two alpha males are beyond awesome (Logan’s persual of Tate and their banter back and forth = perfection) and the writing is top notch. I have never read a story with such great sexual tension. I felt I was inside the book living every second with them. Best m/m so far… if you don’t read this one or at least have it in your top 50 tbr pile you’re missing out!
I Can’t wait for you to read Rough Canvas!! For me, it was a soul touching, Beautiful Love Story. Marcus & Thomas will stay with me forever. No matter how many new books I read, Rough Canvas still remains as one of my All Time top 5. 🙂 <3
Maryse, you have to read Styxx. I know, it’s a big read and a definite time investment, but it’s so worth it. I hated the Styxx we saw in Acheron’s book. I thought he was so evil and responsible for much of Acheron’s childhood heartbreaks and betrayals. But wow was I wrong. Styxx is a hell of a book journey. I had to put it down a few times just to take a break from the heartache, but Styxx’s story and these characters keep calling you back. This is a must read if you love the Dark Hunter series.
I think I’ll have to add of few of those books to my TBR list. The only one on your list that I’ve read is Stynxx and it was AMAZING! Definitely a 5 star book for me. It was even better then Acherons story.
If you haven’t read the spin off from R K Lilley’s Grounded series – Bad Things and Rock Bottom – OMG!!!! The next one, Lovely Trigger is due out early Feb and continues and concludes a heart shattering love story. I loved the Up in the Air series (James Cavendish and Bianca), and Tristan and Danika were side characters but their story is so rich, beautiful and yet devastating I CANNOT move on from it no matter how many other books I read, and I read a lot!!! You know those books where the side characters become so much more, you already knew them, were intrigued and my god they didn’t disappoint and completely stole the show. That’s Bad Things and Rock Bottom.
Afterlife needs to be on this list Maryse 😉
And the alluring indulgence series. I’m reading Ethan now and loving it!
Can’t believe you haven’t read Fighting Destiny yet!! Shame on you Maryse! (Just kidding. 😀 ) But seriously, READ IT!! It’s sooooo good.
And speaking of GOOD… And paranormal… You have to check out King Hall and King Cave by Scarlett Dawn. AMAZING New Adult Paranormal! It’s been a while since I read something that gave me that much pleasure.
Just read the synopsis for Forbidden. Wow, so different and intriguing. SIBLINGS falling in love??!! This has got the slot of my next book to read!!
“Come to me quietly” is breathtaking, Jared will break your heart and you will love him. 5 ++ stars
M, my sister and I have been reading along with u for the last couple of years in Australia and this is my first post because u NEED to read ‘The Kathleen Turner’ series. My fav series is ‘Ward – BDB’ and LOVE anything K Ashley. U must read this series NOW! It is ‘Beast’!!!
BTW, we love u in Australia!
I can say that I tore through the songs of submission series like a kid unwrapping presents on Christmas morning. Alpha /Dom male and a unique storyline that made me feel like “give me more more more, please!”
Good luck on conquering your TBR list!
Can’t wait to hear about them!
OMG! Styxx… I was floored by this book. I simply did not believe Acheron could be topped, but Kenyon outdid herself. She takes her reader on a journey that runs the gamut of emotions and then some. Just, wow.
I agree with Cat, R.K. Lilley’s Bad Things and Rock Bottom were absolute favorites of mine and not the typical love story!!! Also, Pulse (Gail McHugh)…10 STAR read for me!!!!!! Cherry Girl (Raine Miller) and With You and Torn From You (Nashoda Rose)…..LOVED these too!!
The Fault in our Stars has been in my TBR pile for a long time and I have heard NOTHING but great things about it. I have no clue why I’m such a chicken and haven’t picked it up. I just know it’s going to make me bawl like a baby. Something tells me we’re missing out big time, Maryse!
The Songs of Submission series is by far one of the most erotic, best written series I have ever read. If you want something that’s incredibly well produced, you have to give them a chance!! I would describe them as a grittier, more realistic take on the FSOG trope, with a strong heroine, a delicious Dom and sex scenes so hot, I swear they LITERALLY took my breath away!
LOVED Sempre Redemption (5+ Stars)….I am almost done with Come to Me Quietly….WOW, it will break your heart and put it back together. 🙂 I have not read the Up in the Air Series by R. K. Lilley yet, should that be on by TBR?
Yes! Loved Sempre Redemption too – – read both books in one sitting so that was nice!! And yes, you need to read the Up in the Air Series….highly recommended and then they branch off into Bad Things and Rock Bottom with Tristan and Danika’s storyline…..love these series!!!
You have the read The Kathleen Turner series. One of my all time favorites.
Oh boy. You should push Forbidden up on your TBR list. That book slayed me. I mean knocked me out, ripped my heart out, and left me a mess. The subject matter is definitely taboo and will 100% make you uncomfortabe, but the writing was really beautiful. Gah. Now I want to go reread it so I can drown myself in feelings. 😉
Megan Mularz, definitely read Up in the Air series next, there are five books and one novella to read prior to the conclusion that we’ve all been waiting for early Feb. They aren’t particularly long books and you will not put them down once you start – they are all a slow build up to the last book released Rock Bottom which is astoundingly good but devastatingly heartbreaking.
The Fault in our Stars is in movie production. Be sure to read it before the trailers start getting released. I think it is set to be in theaters on 06/06/14! It was my favorite book of 2013! Although I have opened my mind to more than just YA books now thanks to you. I am finishing up the Remember When Series, after reading your review! I LOVE THIS TRILOGY! Thanks for the heads up!
I’ll try the Kathleen Turner series. I love those types. However, Maryse, you have got to read the Fae Chronicles! The series is insanely good, and Ryder is soooooo hot. You’ll adore him.
Come To Me Quietly. When u ask what books puts u in a fog and u dream of for days later. That is this book for me. I downloaded “stay” by Rhianna because that song works so well for this book. You’ll see. 5++++++ stars. Obsessed. Cant wait until July. So good.
Re: The Fault in Our Stars- Read it! Read it! Read it! Don’t let the fear of reading something you know will be emotionally intense get in your way. I feel my life is better “knowing” the characters in that book. I’ve both read it and listened to the audiobook (which is fabulously narrated) multiple times. There are quotes from this book that make my life better having read them. I can’t recommend it highly enough.
Re: Sempre Redemption- Excellent follow-up to Sempre. You really get to know a lot of the characters in a much deeper and real way (especially Carmine, Corrado, and Vincent)
I just finished The Fault in Our Stars after attempting to read it several times before and chickening out. I didn’t want to be sad. But in the end, I was glad I read it. I only used half of a box of tissues. Ha. I am really anxious to hear your opinion about the book. BTW, Looking for Alaska by John Green is really good too. He is a hilarious and extremely intelligent author.
I have read 3 of the books on your list. Styxx… have to agree with your friend. I HATED him in Acheron’s book but OH how I love him now! I was sure before I read the book that it would just make me hate him more but not at all. I love all of her DH books and her CON ones!
Forbidden….I was looking for something that was taboo and this one came up so I had jumped on it. I wanted to be completely grossed out and OMG through the whole thing and I was at some points that just had me cringing and that much better because that was the kind of read I was looking for…but at the same time I forgot about the issue a few times because of the emotion. It was a great story, it was everything I was looking for in that kind of book!!
Tiffany Snow’s book. OMG I had put off reading her books because the original cover of the first book had me not in any hurry it was a beautiful girl on the cover with a code of numbers in the back. I had signed up for my first blog tour and it was for her 3rd book and so I am one of those people who can’t read out of order, so I went and read the first two. After that it IMMEDIATELY turned into one of those books that I said WHY THE HELL did I wait so long to read this?? It is a great series!!!
Can’t wait to see what you think about them!

OMG I had put off reading her books because the original cover of the first book had me not in any hurry to jump in, it was a beautiful girl on the cover with a code of numbers in the back. (I thought oh its about some kind of computer code or something, or she is a robot – I don’t usually read the synopsis 🙁 ) I had signed up for my first blog tour and it was for her 3rd book. I am one of those people who can’t read out of order, so I went and read the first two. After that it IMMEDIATELY turned into one of those books that I said WHY THE HELL did I wait so long to read this?? It is a great series!!!

Maryse, did you figure out how to separate your TBR list from rest?
I read Me Before You then Fault in Our Stars then God-Shaped Hole back to back to back at the end of last year. It was quite the trifecta! All awesome books. I’ve said it before on your site… love Tifanni’s writing. LOVE. I’ll read anything she writes and hoping there will be more!!! After these I moved on to Songs of Submission which took a week to get through all including the extra ones. Very hot series with some twists! Def. worth reading!! Moving on soon to Come to Me Quietly. There is a lot of buzz surrounding this book!
Maryse!!! Sheesh already! Just read the Fae Chronicles already. You pitty-pattied around and waited to read Golden Dynasty, and look how that turned out! This. Is. Super. Hot. He’s such an ass. She’s so dang feisty. Do I need to start posting lines or something? I know it’s the “Fae” thing that’s keeping you from it. But seriously. A great read is a great read. It’s on my best of 2013 list. Just. Do. It.
I love all these recommendations. I’m in a bit of a book slump. Recently finished The Golden Dynasty. I absolutely loved it!! I loved it to the point where im jealous of the people who get to experience reading it for the first time! sad or what lol… My expectations keep getting raised higher and higher!! For example, trying to finish Mine and Seducing Cinderella… I like them ok, just ok. ( don’t get me wrong Remy is just.. Wow!) But, I feel panicky when I don’t have that book… that book that I can’t wait to get to after a busy day! …favourite thing ever!!!
Ooooo!!!!! The Songs of Submission Series by C.d Reiss is my all time favorite series!!!! 5 Jonathan Drazen loving stars!!!! ☆☆☆☆☆ Jonathan Drazen is my top boyfriend and I haven’t been able to find anyone to take his place. This series has seriously stuck with me and I love love love it! Tease was one of my favorite novellas bu the whole series as a whole is absolutely amazing! The writing is absolutely phenomenal, you fall in love with the characters and I swear to you buy the time you read Sing you will be crying your eyes out, screaming and wanting to throw your kindle. The last novella Monica is the hottest of the hott in this series! But all of the novellas are hott hott hott! Jonathan Drazen is a bok boyfriend you will love and Monica is a heroine that will stick with you too! I can’t wait to see your review!!!!!! This series is hott hott hott!!!!!
Wow, keep seeing all these comments about Songs of Submission series……just checked and apparently I already downloaded the first three books in a bundle A WHILE AGO!! Now I am excited! Thanks Kaylee!
Seriously Maryse the day you start the Kathleen Turner series I will be jumping for joy!! You know this is my favorite series EVER!!
Just read Rough Canvas and I have to agree with your comment above. It is a beautiful book. The emotion that is captured between the two guys is just unreal. I’ve read two of her books so far and both I have loved but this one I think has become my top read of 2014!
The Kathleen Turner Series is the first series I read post FSoG..and I have been addicted to reading ever since!! Tiffany Snow is fantastic. I am in LOVE with one of these boys..but won’t tell you which one. I follow your blog to see what I should be reading. Attempting Forbidden now..I’m a little scared!
You are probably totally sick of hearing from me about this one, but I PROMISE you that Dear Emily by Trudy Stiles is right up your alley. Tears, angst, drama. AND it’s a totally different story. It certainly isn’t like anything that I’ve read before. Trudy tells the story in a very unique way that drew me in immediately. I hear book 2 is coming out soon too!! sqeeee 🙂 🙂
If you want to buddy read this book – let me know! I’ll be happy to re-read it again!!
RAW by Belle Aurora and With You/Torn From You by Nashoda Rose were both GREAT Reads!!! Both were dark, but really good. Plus, no cliffhangers!! I highly recommend these books.
OMG Break In Two…absolutely a must read. This book I started and finished in one day…(thank goodness for a snow day). It had me going through the motions, up and down…but was a great read. You should get to this one next. I laughed out loud, cried a bit and was ready to slap multiple characters at different times…great read. Wish it were a series.
So after months of deliberating I finally decided to read TFIOS, and I’m kicking myself for waiting so long to read it. It was an emotional journey, but not in a painful one, this author’s writing just makes you feel from the bottom of your heart. It is just an amazing, beautiful book.
I think you should read the addicted series.
It has addiction, angst, first loves, hot dominate males, soul deep love, funny lines and wonderful secondary characters which have their own books.
Addicted to you
Richochet
Addicted for now
Kiss the Sky
and the next book is due out soon.
The men are fabulous in these books and it’s a tight nit group who all have their issues.
LOVED this series.
I have a few favorites that I can’t get over like Kellen, Caleb, Travis, and Caleb from Thief…the oportunist! Loved that book.
I recommend this series!
Hey Maryse! Love the blog. I have found soooo many good reads thanks to you. Here are some ones I think you have missed out on:
Ignite and Burn by R.J. Lewis. https://www.amazon.com/Ignite-R-J-Lewis-ebook/dp/B00HH1JVCI/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1393870472&sr=1-1&keywords=ignite
Never had a love for motorcycle clubs until this book. So good! Such an interesting story and has some refreshingly new plot points.
Wait for you https://www.amazon.com/Wait-You-J-Lynn-ebook/dp/B00C3342T2/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1393870597&sr=1-1&keywords=wait+for+you+jennifer+armentrout
Such a sweet story. Loved this read!
Drowning (Tears of Sin Series) https://www.amazon.com/Drowning-Tears-Sin-Rachel-Firasek-ebook/dp/B00G8JAQFQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1393870790&sr=1-1&keywords=drowning+tears+of+sin
An interesting and suspenseful read with lots of Romance too.
Styxx! You MUST read Styxx! It is more gut-wrentching/heart-breaking then Acheron. I hated him in Acheron, then I read his book and I cried and cried. In my opinion, his life was sooo much worse then his brother’s. I have read every DH book and this is my favorite (The Guardian and Acheron are a close second). Please read it. You will be glad that you did. A piece of advice though, have a hanky handy. 🙂 Happ reading!
Hi,
Have you read Kim Harrison’s Hollows series. The first book is DEAD WITCH WALKING. There are 12 books in the series. The thirteenth and last book comes out in September.
If you’ve not read them, give them a shot. You might like them.
