UPDATED 05-24-2019!!!! Scroll down halfway, until you the see the “UPDATED” notice!!
In dedication to one of the very first awesome romance reads that got me started in this genre (Love Unscripted and Love Unrehearsed by Tina Reber) <— this super-angsty heartachey one to the left had my stomach in knots and my heart in my throat!!!). If you’re looking to fall in love with a Hollywood heartthrob and you want to feel the pain that comes with such an impossible-seeming feat… this is the one! Your friends, his friends, family, industry rules, fan-stalkers, love scenes to cause intense jealousy (and maybe with reason!!!!) normal vs. stardom… it is ALL here!
Brandy: I absolutely LOVED the first book it was my first famous actor book! and loved everything about it…
Amy: …you really need to read Love Unscripted!! It reads pretty fast and is one of my all-time favorites. It’s kinda like a “classic” for me in that I associate it with my Beautiful Disaster and Thoughtless time-reading period, and it was my first “famous person” book. I remember being soooo excited when I came here and found out how many of my favorites Maryse and others had read and reviewed and loved, like those three and Sea of Tranquility and Edge of Never…I freaking love this place. …still holds a special place in my heart. He’s a famous actor and she’s a down-to-earth “normal” lady. No crazy angst but definitely all of the fun anxiety-producing moments that go along with the famous person-normal person reads.
And right on the heels of my latest 5-star famous-actor/normal girl romance read (Hollywood Dirt by Alessandra Torre – the perfect lighthearted, hilarious and just enough angst romance)… I knew it was time for this list. I’m dedicating the list to every woman’s (okay MANY women’s) ultimate romance fantasy!
Genevieve: wishing for a Hottest Movie Star book list!
Holly: You have compiled lists for many of my favourite types of books yay (loving the m/m category)! I just wondered if you’d thought of starting a list of books where either the hero or heroine (or both!) is a celebrity, e.g. a famous hollywood star and a ‘normal’ girl (love unscripted, eternally north) or a famous director and an aspired actress (the spotlight series), or a famous racing driver (driven), a well known author (night owl) etc etc
Roxy: Can u reccomend any famous soccer/actors romance novels to read?
Cheryl: I share your love of sports and rock star stories…
Brenda: A book about a Rock Star….what could get any better?
I sure can!! From famous actors, to rock stars, to sports stars… I’ve read a ton of ’em and fell in love, a TON!
A few standouts for me? (p.s. I’m just getting us started, I have a ton more to add… and I know you have a ton more to suggest!)
Backstage Pass by Olivia Cunning <— ROCK STAR ALERT! My FIRST famous guy, that I feel head-over-heels in love with. This is pure erotica and steamy as heck, but loaded in angst and romance and passion and hurt. AND!! He’s a famous rock star, and she’s a psych major studying the effects of “fame” (so she’s doing so on their tour bus). Tee hee!! *blush*
The Unidentified Redhead by Alice Clayton AND The Redhead Revealed by Alice Clayton <— FAMOUS ACTOR ALERT! More oomph that you can shake a stick at (especially once we hit book #2). Famous A-list actor falls for an amateur theater actress hoping for success… but she’s older. And the paparazzi are ruthless once they get wind of her. And let’s not even talk about how similar she looks to his ex…. just sayin’. ANGST!!!!!
Remember When by T. Torrest & Remember When 2 by T. Torrest <— These two knew each other when they were teens! Thought they were the love of each other’s lives! What happens when he becomes the famous star that has never forgotten her, and they meet again…? And Gabrielle agrees! “Just read Remember When. Wow. The main charcter relives her time in high school when she was friends with Trip Wiley, who became a famous actor. Can’t wait for book two to find out what happens.”
Hollywood Dirt by Alessandra Torre <— My latest most amazing read ever and this one also involves a Hollywood Heartthrob and a southern woman that’s not putting up with his ego. He doesn’t get it… but he sure wants to get her. 😉 This book has it ALL.
Between the Lines by Tammara Webber & Where You Are by Tammara Webber <— she get’s a part on a show with a bunch of Hollywood teen actors… and falls in love with the A-lister… but also becomes close to one of the new “bad boys” that just might be the next big thing.
Louder Than Love by Jessica Topper <— ROCK STAR ALERT! He’s an older super famous ex-rock star and falls for a school teacher… and OMG sheer contemporary romance perfection!!! Lisa agrees! “…just finished Louder Than Love by Jessica Topper and it was sooooo good. The cover and blub made me think it was another light rock star read but it is so much more. Just beautifully written, sad and tender and hopeful. Lovely.”
Jen: I started Louder Than Love this afternoon and I am loving it. I have already cried twice and laughed out loud multiple times and I am only 20% in. I really like how it is set in the early 2000’s. It’s like a mini time warp! Thanks for the recommendation!
Lisa: Jen…I’m glad you are loving Louder Than Love. One of my favourites, that I had tucked away on my tbr. Isn’t the writing wonderful. You expect a fluffy rockstar meets girl romance but it has so much more going on.
Pamelia: … I love love love Louder than Love. Just bought the sequels today. Squee!
Thoughtless by S.C. Stephens & Effortless by S.C. Stephens <— ROCK STAR & WAITRESS ALERT! Okay to be fair, #1, he’s just famous in his local area, but that’s hard enough to deal with. It’s when we get to #2 that he’s a full-blown famous, and the angst in both of these books will leave you breathless. WARNING!!! Tie your e-reader to your wrist. You may find yourself unable to resist throwing it across the room, and will regret that action. 😉
Kulti by Mariana Zapata <— FAMOUS SOCCER STAR!! And she’s had a crush on him throughout her teens… and then he gets a job coaching her up and coming women’s soccer team. OMG the slow burn DELIGHT!!! You MUST read this one!
Rhythm, Chord & Malykhin by Mariana Zapata <— ROCK STAR ALERT!! While we’re talking about this author’s slow burn… let’s check out this hilarious and slightly angsty and TOTALLY relatable read as she boards her brother’s tour bus to help his band with tour sales, and falls for the other band’s lead singer!
Beat by Vi Keeland <— ROCK STAR ALERT & FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC!!! “Lucky” (that’s her name!) owns a karaoke bar but since her parents were famous, she’s run into plenty of rock stars in her life… and one (a HOTTIE heartthrob rock star touring with her Famous rock star BOYFRIEND’S band) walks into her bar one day… “Beat” has a slight Kellan-feel that I LOVED!! The writing is really good. *oooooooomph!!!!*
The Mighty Storm by Samantha Towle <— OMG talk about love triangle angst! This one is INTENSE (almost along the line of Thoughtless) and this rock star is something to behold!!!
More recommendations (and I will be sorting these very shortly by rock star, sports star and actor because I have a feeling this list will be LONG!!)
➔➔➔➔ UPDATED 05-24-2019!!!!
READER RECOMMENDATIONS:
Maryse: MY NEW LATEST FAVORITE!!!! Until It Fades: A Novel by K.A. Tucker is not that angsty, but explores all sorts of exciting “famous guy-normal girl” possibilities, and has the perfect slow burn. Until it Fades is “one of those” to me. Subtle… but intense and exactly what I love. I DEMAND everyone read it. I demand it so! Can I do that? P.S. Here’s my Book Review
Leslie M: if you haven’t read Until it Fades, I highly recommend!! …Until it Fades is slow burn (but not boring)… w/single mom h & famous hockey player H …I normally hate slow burn. But THIS is how slow burn should be done.
Northernstar: I just finished “Until it Fades” by K.A. Tucker and i enjoyed it so much and it was such a great read! It had a little bit of everything I love in a story; a strong heroine, a sassy funny as hell kid, a sexy h, great supporting characters, ands the story (she saves his life and he’s famous). The story had me tearing up one minute and laughing the next. I would love to read more from this group of characters in the future. K.A. are you listening?
Amy: I have to say I am overjoyed with only having her POV in Until It Fades. I am so glad I don’t know what’s going on in HIS mind or where he is or anything else he is doing so that I can feel all the anxiousness and self doubt and excitement and wishing and FREAKING BUTTERFLIES that she is feeling. Good lord, I can’t remember the last time I gushed over a book this way… …The perfectly paced buildup, the slow burn, THE BUTTERFLIES!! I am feeling similar feels to when I read Love Unscripted and relishing every single second of it. *deep dreamy sigh*
Maryse: Ghosted by J.M Darhower. ANOTHER ONE OF MY LATEST FAVORITES!!! Ghosted is pure excellence!!! He’s a Hollywood movie star and she’s the one that left him when he got carried away in his world. And they’ve got a child together… OH YESSSS!! P.S. Here’s my Book Review
R: Ghosted, Maryse. I’m loving every single word. At the rate it’s going, it may make my top ten. A little girl whose idol is her famous dad, but she doesn’t know it? Kill me now. …BTW! OMG the way she’s doing the flashbacks is freaking fantastic. And I usually hate flashbacks!
Leslie M: Ghosted is an angsty 2nd chance romance with flashbacks via a journal. I love flashbacks, but some are bothered by them. The H is a celeb and recovering addict…. This book made me cry and smile. The daughter with the pizza (and the chickens and breads)…I am smiling as I type this.
Linda: Loved Ghosted!!! Hands down 5 stars!!
Maria: Omg, this book was everything ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Julie O: Best part was the little girl Madison. She was adorable!
Cheryl: Just finished Ghosted this morning. It’s everything you said in your review Maryse. Just loved everything about it, well except would have liked a longer epilogue!!
Marina: Maryse, I just finished Ghosted and you were right… I ABSOLUTELY LOVED it!!! Soooooooooo good. Unique and sweet and I loved the subtle moments, loved that there wasn’t over the top/forced drama, loved the pacing… It was one of those books that I didn’t rush to finish because I wanted it to last. Ugh, so good. Needed that so badly!! Thank you!! xo
Maryse: OMG HOW COULD I FORGET “The Idea of You: A Novel“ By Robinne Lee??!! Thank you Hayley!!! 😀 YES YES YES THIS ONE!!! ASAP!!!!!! THE BOY BAND STAR & the older single mom (that took her DAUGHTER to the concert) P.S. Here’s my Book Review
Hayley: RE: The ultimate list of ‘’famous star meets normal girl’’ book list – updated <— Hi Maryse, I noticed that ‘The idea of you’ by Robbine Lee wasn’t on your updated list! I love that book and really enjoyed your review of it!
Jean: Recent fav forbiddeny book……The Idea of You……sigh….. still can’t get that book out of my head!
Jackie: this book was worth every penny. It was everything I’ve been missing from other books. And while I understand some people didn’t like the ending, I totally got it.
JR: I finished The Idea of You this week and couldnt sleep for 2 days because I kept thinking about it. It consumed me! My family made fun of me.
Marion: Solene and Hayes’s story is one that has stayed with me almost one year after reading it. Brilliant writing by Robinne Lee.
Steph: God I loved this book so much. The writing for me was just stellar. Five plus stars for me.
Deborah: Just wanted to give you one that I put on my best book ever shelf (which I don’t do often) and that not many people know about is…. To Love Jason Thorn by Ella Maise….such a fun ,lol read and a FAMOUS HERO!!!!!!!!!!! …it’s such a fun book….. great for after all this angst and heartache!!! It’s one of those books that kept me grinning the whole way through…..just love those!!!! It’s on my bestbookever list and I would put it up there w Hollywood dirt 😉
Tessa: It’s all that I love a fun, light angst book. I was smiling HUGE throughout it.
Leslie M: I love it when it goes back to childhood. For ex: in To Love Jason Thorne the H grew up next door to h and was bffs with h’s bro. They flashed back to when h was 6 and met him and it was so freaking adorable.
Rochelle: I have another awesome “Famous Star Meets Normal Girl” Romance Book that isn’t on the list yet. Becoming Mrs. Lockwood by KI Lynn. He’s a former actor turned director/producer and she’s a high school senior!!! They meet in Vegas (she’s there with her mom) and there’s a spur of the moment wedding. All of this happens early in the story, so the rest of it is them adjusting to being a couple as they get to know each other better.
Rochelle: Ella Fox just completed her Retake Duet featuring a super-famous Hollywood hero and a normal girl heroine. There’s an age gap, slow burn, and emotions galore. The hero is incredible and so steadfast in his love for the heroine. <3
Julie: This is one of my favorite types of story to read! Your list isn’t complete without the Stage Dive series. The first book is good but Mal from book 2 will always be one of my fav characters ever!
Another good one is Forever Red (Bama Boys Book 1) by Carina Adams. I gave it 4.5 stars but it is a solid 5 in parts. He’s a famous country singer and she’s the girl that got away. And, let’s not forget Carnage! Childhood friends and he turns into a famous singer. The series is one I will never forget.
Other honorable mentions I didn’t see on your list —
- Shuttergirl: (A Standalone Second Chance Romance) (he’s a famous actor and she’s a papparazzi),
- Liquid Regret (actor) and
- the Cranberry Inn series (hockey player).
Lisa: Stage Dive series. by Kylie Scott are all ordinary everyday girls tangling with rock stars. Katy Evans Ripped (The REAL series Book 5) too.
Maryse: Drive by Kate Stewart is a MUST READ!!!! Up and coming rock star and OMG THE ANGST!!!!!! P.S. Here’s my Book Review
Marina: I just finished Drive and absolutely, loved, loved this book. You were right Maryse, soooooo intense, so much angst. Ugh, I am so sad that it’s over. How do you recover from this book? Really, truly I feel like starting another book right now would be betraying it. And could never live up? Such good writing too. I need to look into the author’s other books. I’m not sure if this has been brought up, I’m sure it has… the angst reminded me of Thoughtless but so much of it too reminded me of the feels from How to Kill a Rockstar. So many feels. Ugh, how to move on???
Ash: Loved so much. Bought it last night and stayed up until 1:30 to finish. Couldn’t stop! And, still to work on time. What are the odds we will get *spoiler*’s storY? TAKE ME BACK TO THESE PEOPLE PLEASE!!!
Amy: It was so clever and beautiful and gut wrenching and tumultuous and so much more I can’t even put into words. And what I thought was so unique was how even though she ended up with one, she never minimized her love for the other. And by the way…I ended up being late to work that day. *snort*
Nay: Amy–addictive is right. and Reid is SO pissing me off! This book is breaking my heart and I’ve been crying ALLLL morning. Where are you %??? (I’m at 61%).
Lisa M: I finished METHOD omg I freaking loved it. I couldn’t put it down. Did you finish it Maryse? So much angst now I’ve decided to read Drive. Hope it’s as good.
Linda: The Method and I totally thought it unputdownable!!
Jen C: Loved Method!
Jen: I loved The Monday Girl and The Someday Girl. My kind of love story! Famous actor and the unknown girl!
Cheryl: Loved the Monday Girl and Someday Girl! Great read!!!! Strong h.
Maryse: No Tomorrow by Carian Cole!!! Started out as a homeless musician and then he became SO much more… and this one was loaded in heartache and angst too! P.S. Here’s my Book Review
Nay: …that book just GOT to me–A LOT. It reminded me too much of some things in my life, I think (not the homelessness or the mental stuff, but the ‘feel’ of their relationship). I want everyone to be as destroyed by it (again, in the most wonderful way!) as I was. I especially thought the last third of the book was amazing! …I’ve been searching and searching for something else like it, and like Thoughtless, Motorcycle Man, At Peace, and Arsen, I don’t think there’ll ever be another that affects me quite like it.
Mona: I loved No Tomorrow!! A definite 5 star for me, but then I always love a damaged/broken H. It was so different (better) than what I was anticipating! Thank you Nay, Maryse and all for recommending this book!
Linda: No Tomorrow by Carian Cole is a definite 5***** for me. Your review nailed it Maryse! Would I approve of this story in “real life?” Absolutely not!! That being said it’s gritty raw beautiful reads like this that draw us in and make us feel Blue, Piper, Lyric and all the secondary characters. Carian pulls me in every single time!! Yes I danced around my tablet and side eyed the cover and title before I could bravely jump!! I knew I would be sucked in and “feel” their story!! Bravo!!! Love loved!! “Mic dropped.”
S: JT Geissinger’s Sweet as Sin (Bad Habit Book 1) is a pretty addictive rock star meets normal girl novel, I loved it.
Narda: Just wondering if you have read or listened to Sweet as Sin by JT Geissinger. I found it a great listen, I don’t read much mainly listen on audio cause I do a bit of driving. I have listened to a few on your list, and they have been great books, you most likely get thousands of book request, not sure if you get to many from Australian or even outback Australian. It would be nice if you have a read of JT Geissinger books,
Suzan: Sweet As Sin by J.T.Geissinger! It’s amazing! 🙂
Carol: J.T. Geissinger – her new series: “Bad Habit” Series is off to a good start. BUT her “Night Prowler Series” is what got me started reading her!!
Kylie: I don’t know if your found this one already, but I love Cinder & Ella (Cinder & Ella #1) by Kelly Oram!
Barby: To Kylie. I also love Cinder and Ella so much. The plot was just wonderful. Found myself identifying with the characters. I laughed with them and cried with them through out the story. Kudos to Kelly Oram.
SSJenny: “Along for the Ride” by knightsrachel is one of my favorite books and it has this storyline (MC’s brother is a famous pop star and she’s forced to go on tour with him, and meets her favorite band). It’s the reason I came here looking for more. Bonus: it’s on WattPad so it’s free!
Carian Cole: My entire Ashes & Embers rock star series is about girl-next-door types meeting one of the guys in this band (made up of brothers and cousins). All have a HEA and can be read as stand-alones, but better together. xoxo
Florina: …the novel of Dorothy Shackleford should be here “Time For Me to Come Home” based on the song of Blake Shelton and was written by his mother….
Pamelia: Has anyone else read Ava Lore’s Lonely Kings books? Rising rock stars and regular girls. The second book’s heroine is an escapee from a polygamist sect. I think the first book is called Hard Rock Arrangement.. So far there are 3 books in the series with book 4 due out soon (I hope!).
Jeannie: Perfect (The Paradise series Book 2) by Judith McNaught is an oldie but still pretty good! She was one of my favorite go to authors back in the day; I’m dating myself here lol. Storyline is a famous actor/director is accused of murder and goes to prison. He escapes and along the way takes a woman as a hostage. This was one of my favorites in her contemporary series.
Lisa: How about Incomplete & Complete by Lindy Zart… loved those books. Book two is the one that fits this list…he’s the big rockstar and she’s the girl next door he left behind.
Lisa: Maryse you have to add How to Kill a Rock Star to your list.
Amy: yes, How to Kill a Rockstar is FANTASTIC and angsty… …That one is SOOOOO good and made me have a freak-out ugly cry, and I loved it so much. Never would have found it if not for this place. It’s right up both y’all’s book alley!
Maryse: OMG YESSSSSS!!! One of my favorite books ever in a million years!!!!! HOLY MOLY i’ll never forget how that one made me feel. Excellent writing! Here’s my Book Review
Cynthia: Maryse- I recently read Friction by LD Davis. Amazing fun read. Alden was really hot. I had to read it twice- I liked it so much. He’s a rockstar and she’s a girl who got dragged by a friend to one of his concerts. She gets injured and he saves her. She is so unimpressed by him. I loved it! He’s intrigued by her and it just goes from there.,,
bev:
- Act Like It: A Slow-Burn Romance (London Celebrities Book 1) by Lucy Parker? Not Hollywood but a famous actor on the London stage.
- True Love Story a musician…
- Good Time Bad Boy … Really liked this one and no one ever reads it. Famous country star. Good depiction of a hard working small town heroine.
- Also, Come Dancing (The Jack and Julia Series Book 1) …. 80s New York and a great sense of time and place. Very early 80s so almost 70s vibe.Liked this one as well. Takes its time. He is an English rock star.
Michelle: …a light, funny romance. …It’s called Goody Two Shoes: Romantic Comedy (Scottish Highlands Book 2) by J.E. Henderson. He’s a famous singer who is ready to settle down and wants a sensible wife, likes the idea of old fashioned arranged marriages. She’s s very sensible Scottish lass who wears grey a lot. Ha! The small town in Scotland and the crew of misfits who is helping with the wedding is hilarious.
READER RECOMMENDATIONS:
In Bloom (Entangled Embrace) (The Brightside Book 1) by Katie Delahanty <— Cheryl suggests this one! “Blushing the sequel to In Bloom by Katie Delahanty was released. Famous actor story. I really enjoyed In Bloom and looking forward to Blushing;”
The Wild Side by R.K. Lilley <— FAMOUS ACTOR ALERT! MichelleS loved this series! “it’s my favorite of that “flavor”… he’s a famous author and she is significantly younger… major jail-bait… and possibly a gold digger. He’s a mess and his inner dialogue is hilarious. He doesn’t know what to think with this hot little chick by his side! Anyway, it’s called The Wild Side by RK Lilley. Three short novels that are one story alltogether. Steamy. Forbidden. Loved it.”
An Unexpected Obsession (Hot Romance) by Heidi Hall <— Jodi found us this one! “An Unexpected Obsession by Heidi Hall. It’s kinda like The Unidentified Redhead but really plays up the paparazzi angle in a fun way. Super famous younger male actor falls for an older author/college professor when auditing one of her classes for movie research! I read it a couple of years ago but really liked it! Pretty steamy too if I remember right!”
Eversea (Eversea #1) by Natasha Boyd <— FAMOUS ACTOR ALERT!! Ana LOVED this! “Eversea is lovely, not much steam but just enough and I love the Actor/Famous Rockstars with “normal girl” romances!! I recommend”
Heaven and Hell by Kristen Ashley <— SPORTS STAR ALERT! Ooooooh a KA recommendation!!! Lori says: “Heaven and Hell is one of my favs. The h, in an abusive marriage, for years thought about the H, a famous sports star, a fantasy, to escape her reality. After the death of her husband, they meet by chance, and off their story goes. Sam is awesome, super hot, protective but of course has his own issues to deal with.”
Pamelia: I also second the recommendations for KA’s Heaven and Hell and SEP’s Heaven Texas.
Texas Pride by Kindle Alexander <— M/M FAMOUS ACTOR ALERT! Brittany loves this one! “Texas Pride has a cowboy and a famous actor–yummy!”
From Rags by Suzanne Wright <— FAMOUS RACE CAR DRIVER <— Ella suggests this one! “From Rags. He’s a famous race car driver. She becomes discovered as a model. Loved it. Love that author”
Play (Completion Series) by Holly S. Roberts <— SPORTS STAR ALERT!! Cheryl LOVES the sports stars BIG TIME!! “I LOVE a sports star story. This was one of the best I’ve read. Angst, hot, alpha badass H, reminded me a little of Tate with his commands- “Everything off below the waist. Now.” “Naked in my kitchen. Now.” F&@k, I want to look at you for hours, but I’m done being nice. You ready legs?” Enjoyable!!”
Mayhem Series by Jamie Shaw <— ROCK STAR ALERT! Here’s Jackie’s recommendation and what she says made me *snort*!! “Just last week I googled “Maryse and rock stars” (I had a few *ahem* interesting hits show up). I had just come off reading the third book in the Jamie Shaw’s awesome Mayhem series and I *needed to continue my rock star fix. Thanks for creating all your lists. I’m sure I’ll be referring to them often.”
Storm (Ashes & Embers Book 1) by Carian Cole <— ROCK STAR ALERT!! Jean found us this one! “I’m off to finish Storm by Cole Carian….I am really liking it. Kind of like a Charlotte Stein book… lots of meaning and very likable characters. She gets stuck in a snowstorm and is rescued by a hot guy who turns out to be an upcoming rock star! She has no idea who he is and has a boyfriend already. Fun!”
True North (The True Series Book 1) by Liora Blake <— ROCK STAR ALERT!!! Cheryl was getting a kick out of this one! “I’m reading True North now too. I’m loving the story and Trevor too, even though there’s minimal rock star/concert interaction. Hey there’s even a Kellan in it too!!!”

Race car driver, in fact… Lauren loved these SO much and says: “I just discovered the Driven series last month & I’ve already gone back & re-read them a few times. I’m so glad I found em after all 3 had been released….can’t imagine having to wait for each book!!! “I race you, Ryles”…..my heart melted!! I love Colton Donavan! …so jealous of those who haven’t read it! I was late to the K. Bromberg Driven trilogy & all the books were already out & everyone was going nuts over Colton Donavan & I remember thinking, “what’s the big deal?” Then I read them….” and Melissa agrees! “I have read the Driven series Twice now and Absolutely Love it!” and Tessa agrees, too! “the Driven series was so goooooood. I was in a happy fog, my heart having clenched so many times throughout the books. Great recommendation. Warning, though, it took me a bit to be able to read again due to the happy fog.”
Small Town Girl by Lavyrle Spencer <— SHE’S THE COUNTRY STAR (and he’s the next door neighbor)… Bethany suggests this one! “Small Town Girl by Lavyrle Spencer is one of my all time favorites. An oldy, but perfect for this list!”

Sweet As Sin by J.T.Geissinger! It’s amazing! 🙂
This is one of my favorite types of story to read! Your list isn’t complete without the Stage Dive series. The first book is good but Mal from book 2 will always be one of my fav characters ever!
Another good one is Forever Red by Carina Adams. I gave it 4.5 stars but it is a solid 5 in parts. He’s a famous country singer and she’s the girl that got away. And, let’s not forget Carnage! Childhood friends and he turns into a famous singer. The series is one I will never forget.
Other honorable mentions I didn’t see on your list — Shuttergirl (he’s a famous actor and she’s a papparazzi), Liquid Regret (actor) and the Cranberry Inn series (hockey player).
my comment might be late since this was done September but the novel of Dorothy Shackleford should be here” A Time For Me To Come Home” based on the song of Blake Shelton and was written by her mother….
I mean written by his mother…..
Thank you so much for mentioning Storm! My entire Ashes & Embers rock star series is about girl-next-door types meeting one of the guys in this band (made up of brothers and cousins). All have a HEA and can be read as stand-alones, but better together. xoxo
Lost in the Moment by
K. M. Nichols is set to release on November 25, 2015, but is available for pre order on Kindle. I was lucky enough to read it since it was a friend who wrote it and I must say, I am in love with the characters and the story. It’s about an average girl from a small town who moves to Los Angeles and ends up living down the street from a famous celebrity guy. It’s a great story, I couldn’t decide whether to laugh or cry, it definitely keeps the story going. A must read for anyone who enjoys these types of love stories.
I’m currently working on an entirely new eBook ” World Apart”.

“Along for the Ride” by knightsrachel is one of my favorite books and it has this storyline (MC’s brother is a famous pop star and she’s forced to go on tour with him, and meets her favorite band). It’s the reason I came here looking for more. Bonus: it’s on WattPad so it’s free!
Thank ssjenny1!!! I shall look it up! 😀
I don’t know if your found this one already, but I love Cinder and Ella by Kelly Oram!
To Kylie. I also love Cinder and Ella so much. The plot was just wonderful. Found myself identifying with the characters. I laughed with them and cried with them through out the story. Kudos to Kelly Oram.
Does anybody know the name of the book:
Girl meets famous actor at a wedding. They are paired up to walk down the aisle, he is too late for rehearsal and she’s pissed and tricks him and tells him they have to dance down the aisle or something like this…
The book is Cake by J Bengtsson… it’s a fun book, but has some dark undertones…
Amazing list but Discreet/indiscreet by nicole French is amazing and isn’t on here! It’s new. Came out 2018!
Paige Toon and her Johnny Be Good Series. He’s a famous singer.
Does anyone remember the name of the book where the H is a famous actor and loses his memory in an accident? And the assistant is the h who hated him at first because he was so awful to work for. But after the accident he becomes a better person?
Hi Jessica! I just posted your reader question here:

Desperately trying to find the title for a book series that I LOVED from early 2000-2001. Geared toward middle-high school age girls. Each cover had a headshot of a cute guy, all in one color (i.e. one was blue filtered). I can picture the covers in my head so clearly!
I think there were three books, but I only remember two. My sparse recollection of one book is that a normal girl meets and starts hanging out with a hearthrob movie star who’s in town to film a movie. He drives a red Mazda Miata (it’s brought up repeatedly throughout the book). Later in the book they’re at the beach, followed by paparazzi, and he steals a jet ski to get away but ends up just making a huge publicity nightmare. They fall in love, blah blah blah.
The other book is a prince/royalty who meets a normal girl, I think in New York City. Don’t remember much apart from there was a scene or two focused on them talking about/sharing an egg cream. They fall in love, blah, blah, blah.
I bought it off the scholastic book order catalog in 6th grade in 2000-2001, and for whatever reason it’s kept popping up in my head over the years Please help give me peace!!!
Hi! You might enjoy my book, UNSCRIPTED, by Claire Handscombe. It’s about an aspiring writer with a celebrity crush and a determined plan. Blurb below Let me know if you’d like a review copy 🙂
She’s going to write a novel, name the main character after Thom, and find a way to get it to him. Intrigued and flattered, he will read it, fall in love with her prose, and ask to turn it into a movie. She will pretend to think about it, then say, ‘Sure, but can I work on it with you?’ Their eyes will meet over the script… and fade to black.
But with four interwoven lives in play, can anything be that simple? Thoughtful, quirky, and moving, Unscripted is a story of friendship and second chances, and asks the question: how far can you take your dream?
Looking for an old book, 1990s my evening. young love, girl meets boy on beach, boy is a rock star in hiding. She’s unaware. Can’t remember title or author. Help!
